Hi friend! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Brian and I went to his company’s camp and it was so good to get away for a few days – especially after all the craziness that is the Nordstrom Sale and Amazon Prime days.
I was starting to feel very worn out and as soon as we started heading into the country, I could feel my body relaxing. It’s a good 4-hour drive, so we had a chance to just talk in the car and of course stop at Bucee’s for treats.
There were several couples and customers at the camp and we all got up super early to go fishing in the bay.

I’m definitely that mom that bawls her eyes out after drop off, but gimme about an hour and I’m good. It’s just so hard sending them off after enjoying months of being together at home. I actually like my alone time and then I’ll be sooo excited to pick them up and hear about the first day and how it went!

Hi friends! I hope y’all are having a wonderful week! I’ve been working away and enjoying time with the kiddos. Jordan is in her second week of swim lessons and she’s doing so well! Hopefully, we’ll be able to go to the pool this weekend and get more practice in, but only if the rain stays away.
And today, I have a much needed hair color and cut appointment, which always feels so great! I’m gonna take detailed notes on my cut, color and share everything with you in a hair post soon!

Hello friends! I hope y’all are having a great week! About a month ago I shared the routine chart I made for my son and it has been going really well. I’ve been waking up early and I will wipe off the previous days’ checkmarks, write today’s date at the top, put a sweet note at the bottom, then set it onto the counter for James to fill out as he completes the tasks in the morning.
I also fill up a cup of water for him and sit it nearby with his vitamins.
Hi friends! I hope your Summer is off to a great start! There’s no denying that this has been a crazy year with everything going on and we’re not out of the woods yet with Coronavirus and staying in most of the time.
Last Summer we had such a great time doing all kinds of fun things, going here and there and James was in a wonderful three week academic camp where he really thrived. Unfortunately, the camp canceled this Summer and we haven’t enrolled in anything else. We also haven’t made any travel plans. 🙁

The start of 2020 held so much hope and promise for a new decade, then so many devastating events occurred starting with the fires in Australia, Coronavirus, and the heartbreaking deaths of Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd.
George Floyd was laid to rest in Houston where he grew up and our city is dedicating this day to him. May George rest in peace with his mama whom he called out to during his last moments here on earth.

We celebrated the start of the new decade at Marianna’s home with her lovely family and several good friends, including Ali-Shaun and Stephanie. Marianna is from Venezuela and definitely has a knack for entertaining, providing delicious, beautiful food, and is just an awesome person to be around.
We ate, drank, talked and laughed and even Jordan lasted until the NYC new year countdown!

When Jordan started preschool this year and I shared how emotional it was for me, many of you sent me the sweetest messages saying you’ve been following me since I was pregnant with her and can’t believe how time has flown! I’m with you- it goes so very fast! But did you know that I’ve been blogging since my son James was just 4 months old? He’s nine now! My 10 year blogging anniversary was this summer!

Good morning friends! Can you believe we’re already to August?! Where has this summer gone? I shouldn’t be surprised- every year it seems to fly by and before we know it, school is about to start again. For us, the official first day of school starts on August 14, but the two days before that is when the kids get to meet the teacher and see who will be in their class.
This is an especially big deal for Jordan this year since she’ll be starting PK3. Luckily, she’s familiar with the school and even many of the teachers since James has been going there since he was in PK3.

Oh yes, baby! It’s time to GSD! If you’ve followed me for awhile and especially on Stories, you know I love to Get Sh*t Done! Some of you smarties even recommended that we name the fitness eBook “Get Fit Done” and I have to say, I like it! 😉 So what does it look like when I GSD? I don’t usually preplan or schedule in my GSD days, it’s more like I wake up and suddenly feel like I need one and then I get to it!
