Hi friends! The best thing about a long weekend is a short week! The kids were off school on Monday, and it’s almost the weekend again!
Today, I’m excited to get a haircut. I was growing it longer for awhile, but I’m ready to chop off a couple inches again and maybe bring my bangs up a little. I think it will suit me better for summer and just be easier to take care of and style. And I’m all about simplicity these days.
Do you prefer long or short hair? I always envy those girls with gorgeous long hair,
When it comes to packing for Spring Break, how hard can it be?? If you’re heading somewhere warm, all you need is a swimsuit, jeans shorts, and flip flops, right?! Well, maybe a little more than that! We’re doing an impromptu two-day getaway and when I started packing, I realized I have a few essentials I’ll definitely be bringing with me.
I referred to the “Vacay Packing List” I created several years ago for reference, and since it was handy, I’m including it for you here. It’s an exhaustive list, but helpful so you don’t forget anything!
Hi friends! How was your weekend? Did you watch the Harry and Meghan interview? I would have, but #nocable. What did you think??
Yesterday, I laid down on the couch for a 30 minute catnap, and two hours later, I was still horizontal! I guess I really needed the rest!
On Saturday, we found out our friend Tarah and her hubby are having a GIRL! At our age, having a new baby in the friend group is so fun for all of us girlfriends. This is gonna be one little baby that has a lot of aunties spoiling her!
Hi friends and Happy Friday! I’m coming to you from a much lighter and brighter home! Ruben came over with his crew yesterday and painted the exterior of our home! There were some changes along the way, but it looks so much better!
I’m giddy over how it turned out! I’ll be sure to do a post for you here soon, but in the meantime, you can check it out LIVE on Stories saved to my “Paint” highlight!
Hi friends! How was your weekend? We had a really nice one, and even got a brief reprieve from our blazing hot temps with an unexpected rain shower on Friday. It definitely slowed things down and was a lovely way to kick off the weekend! On Sunday, I invited two of my girlfriend over for lasagna and salad and wine and lots of girl talk and laughs. I’m so thankful for my girlfriends and I definitely haven’t gotten to spend as much time with them lately as I’d like to. The face-to-face time was so good!
Today, I have several new styles to share with you,
Hi friends! I hope your week is going well! I’ve been knee deep in power washing our front driveway all week- a little at a time. It’s kind of perfect because Jordan loves to go outside after dinner and I can watch her play and power wash at the same time. And it’s sooo gratifying to see the driveway go from black to white! If you missed it, you can see our patio and landscaping updates here.
Today, I’m super pumped to share some new Summer styles with you and they are SO freaking cute!
Hi friends! Happy Friday! We made it to the weekend, three cheers for that! I’m so thrilled you loved yesterday’s summer collection as much as I did! What did you scoop up? I’m definitely looking for every opportunity to wear those cheerful styles. I’ve was pretty lazy about getting ‘ready’ this week and it showed. I’m definitely more productive and energized when I take the time to get myself together in the morning. I’m sure that’s true for you too, right? We all learned that during quarantine!
Today, I have several more fun and colorful Summer outfits to share with you,
Good morning friends! I don’t know about you, but I’m sure ready for some fun, NEW summer styles and that’s exactly what I have to share with you today!
First up, I’m super excited for the newest collaboration between Gibson x Hi Sugarplum (my girl Cassie!). It’s their new Summer collection and the styles are playful and fun and the fit is easy breezy- perfect for hot, summer days! The fabrics, colors, and patterns are all meant for no-brainer mixing and matching so you have lots of outfit options.
Hello friends and happy Friday! Even though it’s kind of hard to tell the days apart lately! 😉
I was scheduled to have an Amazon post for you today, but I figured an at-home capsule wardrobe would serve you better right now. We know that one of the things that will help us through this period in our lives is to create as much structure and routine as you can, so that you don’t get that “lost at sea” feeling. A daily routine helps provide a sense of normalcy and getting up and dressed and ready for the day is part of that.
Good morning friends! I guess we better get used to this new normal for awhile. Yesterday was Day #1 of homeschooling (of at least 3 weeks) and it’s a lot! I give the teachers so much credit for all the hard work they are doing to set up lesson plans and email us and check in.
We set up the formal dining room as the homeschool area – nothing fancy. In fact, awhile ago I donated my dining table, so now we are making do with two card tables pushed together! When I get a better sense of our daily routine,

Hello friends! Yay for being on the downhill slide to FRIDAY!!! This first time change week has taken some getting used to! How are you feeling about it? I’ve been having to close the blinds early so Jordan doesn’t argue about bedtime, but she’s been tired, so hasn’t put up too much of a fight. It’s also weird getting up and it’s still dark out but I’ll trade that for lighter evenings any day!
Today, I’m happy to bring you an early St. Patrick’s Day present!

Hello friends and welcome to a fresh, new week! I had a lovely weekend, despite losing an hour of sleep! I got caught up on tons of little to-do’s around the house, got my paperwork together for my taxes, cleared some clutter and had a great workout! I’d been mentally preparing for losing that hour of sleep, but it still messed with me! How’s it going for you?
Today I have a post that is definitely Spring ready and I’m pulling out the white jeans!

Good morning friends! Only a hop, skip and a jump to the weekend now! I can’t wait! We’ll be celebrating Jordan’s 4th birthday on Sunday with a Minnie Mouse themed party at a bounce house. She went to a party there recently and had the time of her life and couldn’t wait to jump her heart out again.
And of course, it’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow! ♥ Do you have any special plans? My kiddos are my Valentines and I found the most adorable GIANT stuffed animal for Jordan and James is getting new phone chargers + a big Hersey’s chocolate bar –

Right about this time of year, I start craving some warmth and sunshine. It’s been cold and dreary for long enough, I had to put the heater on yesterday! Last week, I got a spray tan and it felt so good! My body misses getting some sun on its skin!
Hopefully soon, it’ll be time to to trade out our sweaters and boots for dresses and sandals. If you’re like me or making plans for Spring Break and have warm weather styles on the brain,

Happy Monday friends! I hope your day is off to a great start! Today is James’ first day of camp, so we’re back to some semblance of routine. Call me boring, but I prefer that! Without my morning routine, I’m all out of whack!
The camp is from 8:30 to 3:30 for three weeks, kind of a bummer for doing things during the day, but I know these boys will get so much out of this enrichment program. And we’re planning something special for when camp ends.
We’re well into our first week of summer and I’d say it’s agreeing with us! Yesterday, James and I spent some fun “just us” time and I’m so grateful for it! He’s always been a joy and delight and still is to this day. ♥

Welcome to the first MONDAY of our summer break! So far it’s business as usual, except the kids are staying up later and sleeping in beyond the time I usually start ruffling their feathers to get ready for school. That is nice for all of us!
I still have my Mom helping me during the day and it’s extra sweet that she gets to have some time with James now too. I’m also looking forward to a mommy and son date this week.

Good Monday morning to you friends! Did you have a good weekend? I celebrated one of my oldest and dearest friends’ birthdays on Friday, and then Saturday we celebrated the end of baseball season. It was a loooong season with no wins, even though our boys played their hearts out. ♥ Those are hard times for third graders, but I know they are learning lessons and it was always so sweet to see how they supported each other throughout the season.
