Hi friend! How’s your Thanksgiving weekend going? We’re having a lovely weekend eating leftovers, binge watching Holiday Baking Championship and baking more desserts!
Elliott and I had a bake-off last night. I made Pineapple Upside Down Cake and he make Carrot Cake. Both were delicious! But the best dessert, in my opinion, is the Salted Caramel Pots de Creme I made for Thanksgiving. If you like that kind of thing, you HAVE to make it. Soooo yummy!
And, I ran the longest run of my life – 16 miles! I’m counting my lucky stars I felt good afterwards! It only took me 3 hours and 7 minutes! The marathon is quickly approaching – January 14! I’ll be happy to finish it in 5 hours.
Today, we celebrate and support the small shops that are working hard to fulfill their dreams and support their families. Here are a few of my faves with more at the bottom of this post!

MORE SMALL SHOPS TO SUPPORT
And on this special Shop Small Saturday, I wanted to highlight a few of my favorite small shops:
The Amish Craftsman – a personal friend, Kim and her husband have owned and operated this furniture store for almost 20 years. Their darling young son sends Jordan home with the sweetest ♥ notes! 🙂
Arianna Belle – she sells gorgeous, high end pillows and the ones I bought from her have stood the test of time. Still stylish and in great shape on my living room sofa! This leopard pillow is still my fave, I have the 20×20 size.
Being for Skin & Soul – all natural, vegan luxurious bath and body products
Big Blue Whale – if you’re in Houston, this toy shop in the Heights is a treasure and feels so special inside. We always go there for kids’ birthday gifts.
Courtney Barton – a personal friend with the sweetest heart and such unique, special finds!
Elyse Breanne Design – floral inspired paper goods and more. I’ve ordered several times from her shop and her items always put a smile on my face
JLM Design – vinyl stickers, because I’m still 12 years old at heart
Joy Bead Bracelets – I have a stack and my favorites are the personalized beaded bracelets with my kids’ names.
Preppy Prodigy – from Austin, Texas, Jennifer makes quality school and office supplies for the modern family
Russo’s New York Pizzaria – friends of our family with Italian food to die for. It’s the only pizza James will eat!
If you are delighted by any of these small shops, your order & positive review helps them tremendously!
Have a fantastic day friend!
