Hi friend! Yay for Friday! Do you have any fun plans? We have my daughter’s first basketball game and she also wants to start decorating her room in a Pokemon theme.
She’s been hounding me all week about it! Funny thing is, since we moved into this new house, she hasn’t slept in her room one time! She sleeps we me every night!

LOFT MIX & MATCH OUTFITS
Today is all about making the most of your wardrobe and stretching your shopping dollars further by mixing and matching pieces in your closet. I placed a big Loft order and all of their pieces can be styled multiple ways. And nearly everything is on sale!
My Size Reference: I’m short (5’1) and petite, weighing about 110 lbs. I typically wear size 0p/25 jeans, XSP/XS in tops and dresses.

Let’s start with these new high rise jeans since that’s what I paired the first few outfits with. They got me right away with the high rise (a must on my list of jeans now) and cute silver button front. I like how the silver buttons contrast with the darker wash. That color is so easy to dress up, especially when they are devoid of rips and tears. The skinny leg style is complete with a traditional hem.
The sweater is on the lighter side, a ribbed knit with wide navy/white stripes, but with a pop of color in the aqua and orange stripes at the sleeve.

I’m digging the stripes at Loft right now, especially in these colors (orange, pink navy and white). This top is a boatneck style with a thin ribbed knit, definitely accentuating the chest area.

Oooh, I’m loving how this cardigan sweater can be worn unbuttoned or buttoned up for two different looks. Aren’t the peppy colors in it perfect for early Spring?!

You’ll feel polished and comfortable in this cardigan. The look and style is similar to a tweed jacket, but it’s the feel of a sweater. The lack of a collar lends to the relaxed feel. Perfect for the office when you want to look sophisticated, but don’t want to wear a traditional jacket.

This fun blouse looks like a dotted pattern from afar, but up close it has little hearts throughout (as well as a few dots on the shoulder). It’s a puff sleeve blouse with a round neck and shirttail hem. You can easily wear this top with pants or a skirt for a different look.

I like the pattern on pattern with the blouse and coordinating skirt combo. The skirt is an easy to wear, pull on style with an elastic waist. A belt would compliment this outfit and break up all the pattern.

Or, you can take the skirt and switch out the top for a solid sweater, tee or tank. This sweater is super soft with a perfectly understated v-neckline. It looks great alone or with a collared top underneath. It also comes in more colors.

WHITE WIDE LEG JEANS

Y’all! I’m smitten with these white jeans! They have a high waist, wide leg combo that gives you legs for days!! And the white is nice and opaque, so you don’t have to worry about undergarments showing through.

I know many of us have several months of winter left before Spring, but here in Houston, we could wear this now while we look forward to the real Spring! This is the same top I had on above with the dark skinny jeans.
That’s one thing I love about Loft, they design their pieces to be mixed and matched.

How fresh does this outfit look?! The long leg white jeans with the bold, tones of blue patterned blouse. It’s breezy and effortless and can also be mixed with several other jeans or pants, and also skirts.

White + chambray blue is always a good idea. This pinstripe blouse is menswear inspired with a hint of femininity in the ruffled front. Pair it with pants for a no-brainer work outfit.
Top Fit: I’m wearing an XS, and it fit fine, but I think I’d prefer a petite for a more slim fit

LIGHT WASH FLARE JEANS

I’m CRAZY for these flare jeans too! They’re fitted at the waist and thigh, then the flare leg flows away from your body at the knee for such a flirty, long leg silhouette. The fabric feels good on, kinda soft with some stretch.
The top is also another boatneck style, in that same ribbed knit. This one would be super cute with the white jeans, given the white stripe at the neck.

Jeans Fit: I’m wearing a 25P and they’re still too long with a wedge. I’m gonna machine wash and dry and see if they shrink up
Loft’s everyday crewneck tee is just that, an easy, everyday style with a crew neck and classic fit. It’s almost burnout style, but with a flesh toned bra, you really don’t notice it. It also comes in more colors.

WORK PANTS

These slim sailor pants feel really goon on your body. They have a comfortable cut that’s not tight against your leg, rather they skim your body with a cuffed, tapered leg. I love how the ankle length lets you easily show a little ankle.
These pants sit at your natural waist, but I’m so used to high waist bottoms now, so I’d prefer that.
The red top is also boatneck style and the color is so bold and vibrant. How’s that for a pop of energy?!

These are the same pants in the fuscia color. I think they go perfectly with the cardigan and it looks great buttoned up and cuffed under. The pants also come in navy.

RED JEANS

Hot tamale!! These jeans are same kick crop style I have in a darker wash, but they are so fun in the bright red color. They also have a high waist and bit of stretch. I’m keeping and can’t wait to wear!

DRESSES & JUMPSUITS

For weekend errands or as a beach coverup, this terry cloth striped dress is too cute. It’s non-body conscious with a slightly puffed sleeve and sporty cuff. I like it with slides, flip flops or even sneakers.
Dress Fit: I’m wearing an XSP
I’m in love with this jumpsuit! It’s the same print as the blouse I shared above, but in a jumpsuit. And the material is soft, stretchy goodness. It fits like a dream with a cap sleeve and the perfect v-neck. It has double front pockets and an attached tie waist belt.
The movement is lovely and flowy with the wider leg. A must have for vacay, Spring Break, or a fun day or night out!
Jumpsuit Fit: I’m wearing an XSP
But, if you’re not a fan of prints and prefer solid colors, it also comes in black. A true basic that looks elegant and more subdued than the lively print above.
It’s still equally as comfortable and easy to move in.
Jumpsuit Fit: I’m wearing an XXS
For the final jumpsuit, this is one you might just want to curl up in and take to bed! It’s THAT soft and cozy, from Lou & Grey’s ‘signature soft’ collection. I paired it with a heel because it’s got that sassy style, but you’ll probably end up wearing it with sneakers or sandals.
The only caveat is that the crossover front could benefit from a little snap. You could also wear a tank underneath – ooh, or one of those sexy lace bralettes!
Jumpsuit Fit: I’m wearing an XXS
ALTHLEISURE/ACTIVEWEAR
I had to try these joggers when I saw the name – Lovestretch! They are that stretchy and comfy. A soft, breathable and buttery soft jogger that are perfect for lounge or errands. They have a comfy high waist with a wide elastic waistband and drawstring tie. I could do without the pockets being so long though, but it’s not a dealbreaker, given the other amazing qualities.

“always the OPTIMIST” – is that you too?! What’s cool is that the optimist letters are a colorful terry material, giving the soft sweatshirt a fun texture.

I wanted to give Lou & Grey sportswear a try, so I ordered the Lovestretch Bra Tank. It’s a sports bra underneath the crop tank. I must say the material is fabulous, super soft to the touch and it feels like it has good structure. It’s got a scoop neck that is on the lower side as sports bras go, at least on me.

I live in Winnipeg, Canada (a city other Canadians consider very cold!) so I always get a chuckle when you talk about your weather being “chilly”. Your “waiting for real spring” temperature would be a nice summer day for me! 🙂
