Style A Friend | Part 2 with Ali-Shaun & Early Black Friday Sales
Hi friend! Happy almost Thanksgiving! I’m in wind down mode for the week and looking forward to chilling with my family on Thursday. We’ll be getting together at my brother’s house and I can’t wait! And then sometime after dinner and dessert, all the ladies will start comparing Christmas notes and deals on things we have on our lists!
Shopping is more fun with a friend- which brings me to today’s post. Ali-Shaun is back with Part 2 of our try-on! We had so many outfits to share that we broke it into two parts. Catch Part 1 here!
STYLE A FRIEND
My Size Reference: I’m a shorty (5’1) and petite, weighing about 110. I typically wear size 0p/25 jeans, XS or XSP in tops and dresses.
Ali-Shaun Size Reference: She’s taller (5’4), and usually wears a size 8-10 in jeans, and Medium/Medium Petite or size 8 in tops and dresses.

We started with Mother jeans because we both love their fit and style. This pair is so pretty in the light wash and very comfortable with the high waist. I had to laugh though because, on the model, they are crop length. On me and Ali-Shaun they fit all the way to the ankle. Wait ’til you see Rhonda in them!
My sweater is by Free People and so cute! It’s a crop sweater, but not belly baring with high waist jeans. Ali-Shaun is wearing her favorite bauble sleeve sweater and I love how pretty she looks in green.

Look how Rhonda rocks those jeans! I love getting to show you how they look on someone tall- she’s 5’9. They were MADE for her!

Ooh, these blues sure are pretty. It’s not a color I normally gravitate to, but we both liked these sweaters. Ali-Shaun’s has a cowl neck and cutout shoulder with a little bit of shimmer in the fabric.
My balloon sleeve sweater felt nice and soft on and it also comes in more colors.

My v-neck sweater from Madewell has a cool stitch pattern and relaxed fit. Ali-Shaun liked the notch sweater with ribbed cuffs, but it’s going fast.

We’re definitely feeling festive in this bright red v-neck pullover! It’s the perfect color for the holidays when you want to be bold! The hats are a fun and functional touch for cold winter weather.

My light blue sweater is the same one that Ali-Shaun was wearing above in tan. So soft and cozy! Her sweater is a ribbed knit with bloused sleeves side slits.

My grey sweater is a perfect basic and on sale for just $14! Ali-Shaun has on the puff sleeve sweater in such a soft brushed jersey knit material.

For a dressier option, I paired these Loft sequin joggers with this plush velvet, plum colored halter top. And it’s so cute from behind with a cutout back.

Ahh, this dress! It’s perfect for a holiday party or ringing in the new year. It’s blingy sequin on the outside and lined with a soft lining underneath so it’s not scratchy or itchy. I like the longer sleeve with the short skirt and it’s under $80.

We all know Ali-Shaun has a thing for longer floral patterned dresses. She looked so good in this one and said she could wear it for work during the day and also in the evening entertaining clients at dinner. It’s got an inside slip and sheer sleeves with a beautiful petite floral pattern throughout. It also has a romantic lace trim detail at the chest and skirt.

I had to try the Nordstrom faux leather leggings and was actually surprised how much I liked them on once I got them up over my hips! They have a comfortable high waist and wide waistband.
Ali-Shaun had on the Nordstrom high waist leggings and felt great in them. They’re only $24, but going fast with limited sizes left.

This waffle knit tee is so cute with the button front and looks great with either jeans or leggings since it has a shirttail hem to you can leave out or tuck in. I also really liked this blue color, but it comes in more options.
The fleece vest is a great outer layer for mild temps and often just what we need here in Houston. The one I’m wearing is older and sold out, but I found a great similar option by Columbia in a gorgeous deep midnight color.

Three cheers for VUORI! Can you believe Ali-Shaun had never tried them on?! I knew she would lose her mind over the comfort and quality! We both loved the 7/8 high waist leggings and they have a hidden key pocket. I’ve already worn mine several times since we took these photos!
Ali-Shaun is wearing a Vuori hoodie pullover in the same luxe fabric that they’re known for.
My long sleeve top is by Zella and I like it so much that I have several in every color. I wear them for lounging and to the gym. They’re insanely comfortable and also breathable and sweat wicking.

The incredibly soft and warm UGG wrap cardigan is back and cozy as ever! I gifted it to my mom last year and she loved it!

I feel so very thankful to have Ali-Shaun in my life! She’s always a blast and more than that, a very special friend with the kindest, most thoughtful heart.
We didn’t get to see much of Rhonda in this post, but she’s definitely here helping make everything happen! She makes my days so much more fun!
