2022 TOP 20 FAVORITE THINGS

Hi friend! I hope you are having a fabulous week so far! It’s one of my favorite weeks of the year because my mom and I are heading to our local holiday fair – the annual Nutcracker Market on Friday!  It’s a tradition for just the two of us to go every year and I love getting that one-on-one time with her.  We always stop for mimosas first and then hit up all the shops. So fun!

For me, it’s that day that signals the start of the holiday season and all the festive things to come until the end of the year.  With that in mind, I’m bringing you my Top 20 Favorite Things of the year.  These are my tried and true, go-to items that I’m thankful to have in my life.

Of course, they all make fantastic gifts too!  I’ll be gifting some of them to my girlfriends this year!

ONE // Air Fryer

I could kiss this air fryer, I love it so much.  It gets daily use in my house and the touch screen couldn’t be easier to use.  You just push a button and your frozen nuggets, veggies, pizza, chicken, potatoes and more are cooked to perfection with easy cleanup!  Not to mention, less fat!

TWO // Barefoot Dreams Dupe Blanket

This blanket is a Must Have and nearly identical to the popular Barefoot Dreams at a fraction of the price (but it is on sale here).  I like it so much that I’ve bought several for myself and for friends.

THREE // Always Pan

There’s a reason this pan has a cult following and often, a wait list!  It’s 8 pieces of cookware in one – a skillet, non-stick pan, saucepan, fry pan, spatula rest, colander and steamer.  You can braise, sear, steam, strain, saute, fry, boil, serve, and store with just the Always Pan.  One of the best qualities is that it’s truly nonstick and wipes clean super easily.

The Always Pan has quickly gathered a cult following, being used by everyone from the New York Times to Food & Wine to Ms. Oprah herself!

It’s made of superior non-toxic nonstick ceramic coating, without teflon, toxic metals, or potentially harmful materials, so you can feel good about cooking for your family in it.  Plus, it comes in gorgeous colors!

FOUR // Ember Mug

This mug is seriously a game changer for those of us that like to drink hot coffee and tea.  This smart mug keeps your drink warm, and not just warm, you can set it to your exact desired temperature with the user-friendly app!  No more microwave coffee or being tethered to a coffee warmer.  It’s awesome to be able to carry your coffee around with you and it stays hot!

FIVE // Knife Trio

I invested in the knife trio and have been so impressed with how much more enjoyable my cooking has become with super sharp knives. This set of three knives includes the: 1) everyday chef’s knife, 2) serrated slicing knife, 3) and the precise paring knife.

The everyday chef’s knife is the workhorse in the kitchen, with its wide, sharp blade – perfect for sturdy chopping all your main items like hearty veggies and more.

The serrated slicing knife is what you’ll use for things like bread and tomatoes – basically anything soft and squishy or hard and crusty.

The paring knife is what I like to use for tinier cutting tasks like slicking the tops off of strawberries.

SIX // Air Pods

What did we do before air pods?!  From working out to listening to music that gets your blood pumping, to hearing audio books or podcasts while cleaning, I use my air pods every single day.  I also like them for talking on the phone hands free and not being on speaker phone.

SEVEN // T3 Hairdryer Brush

If you like the look of a salon style blowout at home, but have a hard time managing a round brush and hairdryer, this is your answer.  It’s absolutely foolproof and so easy to use with just one tool.

It comes with a round brush and flat brush attachment so you can get full volume or sleek styles.  There’s also several different heat and power settings, so you can control how hot or cool it gets and also the air pressure.

EIGHT // Oribe Dry Texture Spray

If you like that textured, beachy hair look with extra volume, you need this Oribe texture spray in your life.  Oribe is on the pricey side, but it’s one of those things I find worth the money.  My hair goes from flat to full with just a quick spritz.  I like to lift my hair and spray underneath for the most volume.

NINE // Colleen Rothschild Hyaluronic Serum

This is a new product by Colleen Rothschild that has quickly become a staple in my skincare routine.  It provides essential moisture to your skin that helps minimize the signs of aging by keeping your skin plump and hydrated. I use it morning and night in the last step of my skincare routine before moisturizer.

TEN // Tarte Mascara

The Big Ego mascara is what I usually reach for when I want major drama with the lashes.  I love how the brush coats every lash, giving the illusion of super long voluminous lashes.  And you only need one coat!

ELEVEN // Tarte Ultra Creamy Concealer

I was so happy then Tarte came out with a concealer alternative to the popular Shape Tape.  That Shape Tape looks great on young, flawless skin, but us more mature ladies need something creamier that doesn’t settle into fine lines.  I’ve tried a lot of concealers and the Tarte Ultra Creamy is the one I use daily in shade 12B (Fair Beige).

TWELVE // Tatcha Lip Mask

Dabbing a bit of Tatacha’s lip mask onto your lips at night before bed feels like a self care ritual.  Not only is the product itself luxurious and rich, the lip mask comes in a pretty little glass pot.  I keep it on my nightstand.

THIRTEEN // Tory Burch Tote

I love the classic shape and sleek, minimal design of this bag.  I have the small tote, which suits me perfectly, but there is also a large option.

FOURTEEN // Sun Hat

Definitely one of my most used items practically year round.  It’s got the perfect shape to flatter every face, it packs like a dream being nearly indestructible and it’s around $20!

FIFTEEN // Daily Ritual Cardigan

As much as I’m gaga for my Barefoot Dreams cardigan (on sale here), the one that I don’t feel too precious in is my Daily Ritual cardigan.  It’s insanely soft with an open style that’s easy to wear to work or just lounge in.

SIXTEEN // Running Shoes

They were good enough for my half marathon, so they are definitely a favorite thing of 2022!  Although my legs almost went into retirement after that race, my feet felt great!

SEVENTEEN // UGG Slippers

They feel so good on your feet, but they’re nice and sturdy on the outside.  They keep your feet cozy and warm.  If you’re in between sizes, go down because they stretch with wear.

EIGHTEEN // Lululemon Align High Waist Leggings

I’m 47 years old and got my first pair of Lululemon leggings last year and now I know what the hype is all about.  They feel so good on, seriously second skin quality and they’re also what I ran my race in. They are breathable, sweat and moisture wicking, with extra Lycra fibers for incredible stretch and shape retention.

NINETEEN // AG Mari Jeans

I’m usually perfectly happy in budget friendly jeans like these from Amazon and this pair from Loft.  As far as designer jeans goes, the pair that fits like a glove and makes me feel like a million bucks are AG jeans.  They’re the ones I like to wear on a date night, but they can easily be dressed down also.  They do go on sale, so try to snag them when they’re not full price.

TWENTY //  Vuori Joggers

All things Vuori are always in heavy rotation around here.  My love of this quality brand began with their athletic tanks, but I soon discovered the jumpsuit, joggers and even the hoodie.  Remember, Rhonda and I have the same one!  Once you try these on, you’ll want to live in them.  They’re cozy enough for lounging, but appropriate for taking outside.
