Amazon Fashion Finds

Hi friend!  Yay for Friday, right?!  This morning I’m off to the popular antique market, Round Top, with my girlfriends!  Such a fun trip that we’ve been doing for years and I’ve been really looking forward to it!  I wish you could join us in person, but the next best thing is to come along virtually through my Stories.  I’ll be sure to share all our great finds with you!

I also wanted to thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback on this post, where I shared some changes I’m making to my blog content.  I want to make sure that your visits to my blog are worth your time, so I want to make sure I’m sharing meaningful, valuable content with you here.

We had fun on the blog this week.  I started with darling Fall & Winter outfits and you won’t believe the prices!

I’m also thrilled to finally invite you into our new pantry.  I don’t even mind admitting that I get all kinds of excited about that kind of thing.  Having a new space to edit and organize makes me so happy.  I tend to rearrange it pretty often, but it’s at a good spot now.

Every Tuesday I share Tuesday Goodies on Stories, but you can always find them on my blog here.

This week’s Amazon Live featured DAILY DEALS in home, beauty and fashion!  You can catch all my Amazon livestreams here.

AMAZON FASHION FAVES

For today’s Amazon fashion post, I changed it up and had Rhonda take my photo, instead of doing the usual mirror selfie.  Let me know if you like this better.  I’m hoping the photos are brighter and that you’re better able to see the outfit this way.

I’ll be sharing the live videos on Stories this weekend.

For Size Reference: I’m a shorty (5’1) and petite, weighing about 110.  I typically wear size 0p/25 jeans, XS or XSP in tops and dresses.  Lots of times the smallest size on Amazon is a Small, so in that case, that’s what I ordered.

SWEATER OUTFITS WITH JEANS / WORKWEAR

SweaterJeansBooties

I’m so crazy for this white sweater! Isn’t the detail in the stitching cool with the pattern it makes?! I also like how it’s not too long, so it’s easy to front tuck or wear bloused under.

I’m wearing it with the popular high waist, crop straight leg jeans.  These are so comfortable and fit like a glove.  I like how the dark wash makes them easy to wear to work on casual Friday.

In this post, I wanted to share how you can mix and match pieces to make the most of your wardrobe, so I paired the sweater with our favorite paper bag waist pants.  I usually wear these with a more fitted top tucked in, but they look equally as good with a sweater.  If you work outside the home and need to look polished, but want to be extra comfortable, GET THESE PANTS!

They’re supposed to be a more cropped length, but on me at just 5’1, they hit me all the way to the ankle.

Olive Green Top, Jeans, Booties

SweaterJeansBooties • CrossbodyBag Strap

This knit pullover has a fun little elastic detail at the wrist that gives the top a dressier look.  I also wasn’t expecting it to be so soft!

And here is the new crossbody bag I’ve been loving.  It’s big enough to hold all your essentials, but narrow enough to not add any extra bulk to your frame.  I switched up the bag strap for this cool neutral one.

Grey Sweater, Jeans, Heels, Crossbody

I’m crazy for this top too!  First of all, it’s one of my favorite colors, but it’s also that thin knit material that I love and it looks a little bit dressier with the horizontal ribbed stitching throughout.

And if you want to make the top more work friendly, you can pair it with these AWESOME wide leg crop pants.  I’ve had these for a couple of years now and still adore them!  The material is a thicker knit with stretch, but not so much that they stretch out during the day- more so you can comfortable move, sit and stand in them.  They have double front pockets, a flat front and pull on easily over your hops.

Being picky – the top may look better with these pants if it was a little more fitted.

Sweater, Jeans, Knee High Boots

SweaterJeansBoots

If it’s getting chillier where you are, this sweater is right up your alley!  We had two days of gloriously cold weather, but now we’re back to mild temps.  I’m not complaining though – it looks like we’re done with the 90’s until next year!

This sweater is a gorgeous aqua blue color with drop shoulders, a conservative boatneck and slightly ballooned sleeves.

Striped Sweater, Jeans, Boots, Crossbody

When I was trying on all these sweaters, Rhonda asked me if this was a LOFT try-on!  I think that’s a good compliment for all these Amazon pieces! This sweater is also Amazon and has a cute contrasting shoulder that helps give you the illusion of a smaller waist.  It’s also nice and stretchy and looks great with tan pants, as you’ll see below.

STriped Sweater, Paperbag Pants, Crossbody, Heels

See! Paper bag waist pants for the win again!  I have them in several colors – tan, pink, blue and black.

Waffle Knit Square Neck Top, Jeans, Heels

TopJeansHeels

I really liked this pullover also.  It’s a waffle knit, but the square neckline and loose sleeves make it look a little more dressy than a typical thermal.  This rosy pink color is pretty in person too.

Crew Neck Sweater, Jeans, Heels

Oh yes!  A big high five for these high waist, light was jeans. They fit really well and make you feel like you can breath easily! I paired them with this gorgeous rosy sweater.  It’s by one of Amazon’s house brands and the quality is really there.

Crewneck Sweater, Paper Bag Pants, Heels, Crossbody

This conservative style sweater translates easily into your work wardrobe.  Again, with a high waist pair of pants, ideally the top would be a little more fitted so that you have a bit more definition up top.  The pants are uber comfortable though.  They have great movement and feel basically like pajama pants.

Ribbed Mock Neck Sweater, jeans, Heels, Crossbody

I was surprised at how much I liked this sweater on.  This is why I always say you have to try things on to see how they look on.  Sometimes, I think I’m gonna love something – then I try it on and it’s all wrong.  But here, this sweater is great because of the pretty pink color, but also how the loose cowl neck sits all relaxed and nice looking.  The sleeves also stay comfortably up when you scrunch them.

You can easily take this sweater to work with your paper bag waist pants.  I simply removed the coordinating tie belt to create a more streamlined silhouette.

I instinctively grabbed my clear heels, but in winter, you’ll want to opt for a closed toe heel or bootie.

Pants Fit: I’m wearing an XS

This pullover is also one of the soft things we love and although I was able to give it a front tuck, it’s also long enough to wear with leggings- maybe because I accidentally got a size Medium??

I’m wearing my black high waist jeans and every time I put them on, I’m reminded how comfortable they are.  Also note that you don’t have to keep your boots black with black pants, tan looks great too!

Top Fit: I’m wearing a Medium, prefer Small or XS

STYLE TIP: HOW TO CUFF YOUR JEANS

If my jeans are too long, this is often how I cuff them so that I can wear them with booties.

Step 1: fold the bottom up

Step 2: fold that bottom part under under & adjust as needed

Cami, Denim Top, Jeans, Booties

CamiTopJeansBooties

This denim top can almost pass for a shacket or cardigan when worn open with a top underneath.  I like the faded wash, fringe at the bottom, and how relaxed this style looks.  I like pairing a blue denim top or jacket with black jeans because the contrast looks good.

STYLE TIP: HOW TO CUFF YOUR SLEEVES

To get a perfectly imperfect, relaxed cuff on my button down tops –

Step 1: Make a long/wide cuff up

Step 2: Then cuff the bottom half up again, leave part of the sleeve peeking through the top.

CARDIGAN OUTFITS

Bodysuit, Cardigan, Jeans, Boots

BodysuitCardiganJeansBoots

And now that Fall is upon us, I’m living in cardigans.  This one will work almost year round depending on your climate.  It’s almost a crochet style cardigan, so it’s very lightweight.  I like it here with a tank or bodysuit and jeans, but in the Summer or warmer months, you can wear it with jean shorts.

This cardigan is on the warmer side and looks great buttoned, unbuttoned, or even bloused over with a front tuck.  The artful stitching makes it look almost like a scallop detail.  Which reminds me- I’ve already been assigned potatoes (among a few other things) for Thanksgiving dinner. 😉 Has your family started making plans already?

JACKET & VEST OUTFITS

Teddy Bear Jacket, Jeans, Sneakers

JacketJeansSneakers

Basically, a bomber style jacket, but in that wubby teddy bear textured material.  It has a simple singular zip front, double pockets and a soft inner lining.

It’s worth noting that I’ve been so happy with these Amazon sneakers.  They cute and actually so much more comfortable than the Golden Goose sneakers I’ve tried on in the past.  Bonus, they’re super inexpensive!

Long Sleeve Bodysuit, Vest, Booties, Jeans, Crossbody

BodysuitVestJeansBootiesCrossbody BagStrap

In Houston, we can often get away with a vest layered over a long sleeve top to keep us warm.  This one is so fluffy soft!  And my mom loves white so I think I’m gonna get her one. The top I’m wearing underneath is actually a bodysuit.

DRESSES

Sweater Dress, Booties, Crossbody

DressBootiesCrossbody BagStrap

I found a couple of dresses to recommend too.  This sweater dress is really nice because it’s not too body conscious, rather it skims the body.  The ribbed knit is a medium weight, so it also helps conceal any parts we’re not thrilled with.  It’s also a hoodie, so easy to dress down with sneakers.

Dress Fit: I’m wearing an XXS

Turtleneck Dress, Booties, Crossbody

Dress • Booties • Crossbody BagStrap

This sweater dress is more of thin knit variety with a little turtleneck.  I think it would look great with a black faux leather jacket and black booties too.  I really love the neutral color.

Dress Fit: I’m wearing an XS

Okay friend! I’d love to hear if you prefer these kinds of photos over the mirror selfies.  Maybe you don’t really have a preference? That’s okay too. 🙂

Regardless, it’s fun for me to change things up once in a while so that I keep things fresh and interesting for both of us!

  1. I love your Amazon posts!! But I do miss the close-ups of the fabrics that you did in your previous posts. It really helped me determine the quality of the pieces a lot better than the pulled back shots. Keep up the good work!

  2. I’ve always wanted to go to Round Top! Please take lots of pics and point out all the funnest things in case I ever get to go. It’s a little ways from NC.
