Hi friend! Yay for Friday! We made through our first week back to school and the first week of football practice! How was it for you? I will say everyone is pretty tired and I’m looking forward to a big night of couch time and early to bed!
Tomorrow I’ll be back at it, Week 2 of training for a half marathon. It’s been nice being able to get out the door early to run, it’s not AS hot at that hour!

My Size Reference: I’m short (5’1) and petite, weighing about 110 lbs. I typically wear size 0p/25 jeans, XSP/XS in tops and dresses.

How fabulous is this skirt?! It caught my eye immediately online and I’m happy to report that it’s just as good in person! The bold pattern definitely makes a statement and it’s got colors that can lean either Spring or Fall.
It’s not lined, but the fabric has a bit of weight to it, so it feels almost structured. It has pockets on both sides and a stretchy, elastic waist.
I paired it with this cute textured top that has a fun puff sleeve with tie detail.

The top also looks great with jeans for a more casual look. These are the Wit & Wisdom jeans I scored at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They’re made with that ab solution technology that fits and flatters and comfortably tucks you in. They have a high waist and a cool, sloping hem. Plus, the light blue color is pretty! They’re still a great deal at just $88.

I’m a longtime fan of these Madewell v-neck tees and have them in several colors, but this pretty green is new (to me). These tees have a stylish fit, not too boxy, but also not too fitted. Perfect for wearing alone or layering under a cardigan.

These affordable jeans are also by Wit & Wisdom and I’m digging the girlfriend style. They have a comfortable high rise and the soft blue color is really pretty. They are a bit long on me, so I did a wide cuff at the bottom.
The top is a thin ribbed knit with a scoop neck. I almost want to sleep in it!

I really like the pop of color on this short button front cardigan. It would translate well to the office with a pair of pants or a skirt also. It’s really soft!

This cardigan fits more like a sweater and you can wear it alone or it would be pretty with a lace trim cami worn underneath.
The jeans are by LOFT and you can find a new Loft haul here. I like how figure flattering they are and the darker wash makes them easy to dress up.

NORDSTROM DRESSES
Such a cute dress for almost-Fall and it looks great with a bootie. The bodice is smocked and the loose flutter sleeves are playful touch. I really like the soft olive green color and maybe the best part- it ties in the back so you have that extra bit of sass!

Do you have a Fall wedding to attend? This would be a great option! This dress is fully lined and the gemstone colors are definitely fall friendly.

Don’t let the fact that I didn’t get to steam this dress distract you from how lovely it is! It’s a gorgeous non body-con dress that is easy to wear and perfect for a shower or dressier occasion.

WALMART OUTFITS
I was really impressed with my Walmart order this time! If you stick with labels like Time & True, Free Assembly and Scoop, you’ll be able to find some cute and affordable things there.
These jeans are good! They’re a high waist, medium wash and kick bootcut leg. They have a raw edge hem and since they were too long on me, I simply cut them straight across with a sharp pair of scissors. Then you can rough the hem up with the scissor blade and they’ll fray up in the wash.
The top is a perfect work to weekend option with a smocked top and peplum bottom. The navy looks great with lighter wash jeans.

I’m smitten with this sweatshirt and ended up getting it in two colors – this creamy white and basic black. The shirt cuff has the traditional sweatshirt hem, but the waist has an elastic that naturally blouses under.

Isn’t this waffle knit top sweet with the puffled shoulder and button front. It’s really soft too!

This top has a unique quilted texture and elbow length sleeves. It will translate well from Fall to Winter since it has some weight to it.

And when it’s finally time for sweaters, I adore the warm tan on this mock neck sweater. It’s a heavy cable knit, so will definitely keep you warm!

Yay for ponchos! Makes me excited for football season when it gets cold! I like both of these one-size-fits all styles with a reversible pattern.

But, we’re still wearing shorts here and probably will be for awhile. This pair is a great cutoff in a light wash. This pale blue sweatshirt looks more modern with the wide hem at the cuff and bottom.

TARGET OUTFITS
I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about overalls over 40, but once I tried them on, I thought they were really cute! The cut and style has a cool, relaxed vibe.
I like how this tee has a cap sleeve with a high neck, but you could also wear a tank, regular tee or long sleeve shirt underneath.
