AUGUST LOVES GIVEAWAY

Hi friend! Welcome to a fresh, new week!  I had such a great weekend, getting to spend lots of time with my girlfriends.  We had a spa day party for Kasie at Fiori spa, complete with massages, light bites and lots of girl talk.  On Sunday, we met at Savoir for a delicious brunch celebrating Jamie.

That restaurant is so pretty inside and I noticed a bridal shower and baby shower happening there too, a great option in you’re looking.

Tula Eye Balm

I was recently sent a few Tula products to try and was happy to learn that all of Tula’s products are cruelty free and vegan.  I’ve rarely veer from my Colleen Rothschild skincare routine, but her line doesn’t carry this kind of eye balm, so I was intrigued.

It’s really like nothing I’ve ever used.  It’s a cooling and brightening balm that actually cools and brightens!  You simply twist up the stick and apply it to your under eye area in the morning (either over or under makeup).  You will immediately notice a brightness and cooling sensation that lasts a good while.  I put in on over makeup and still felt it that coolness while I was working on my computer a few minutes later.  It feels really good and refreshing, kinda tingly.

It hydrates and nourishes your skin while firming and tightening the undereye area.  I noticed that my fine lines looked smoother and I love the glow it provides. It’s subtle, but such a pretty sheen!

Tula Sunscreen

I’m also happy to recommend the Tula sunscreen.  It’s one of the best all around sunscreens in a gel consistency that doesn’t leave any white cast.  Usually, I have to wait about 20 minutes for regular sunscreen to soak into my skin before applying makeup.  With this Tula sunscreen, it disappears instantly without any waiting.  It goes on smooth and doesn’t feel greasy.  It protects against the sun, but also protects against blue light and pollution.

I always have to be careful about which sunscreen I use because they tend to break out my skin.  This one is non-comedogenic and my skin didn’t have any issues or negative reactions to it.

Tory Burch Tote

After eyeing this bag forever, I just ordered it.  I love the classic shape and sleek, minimal design.  I ordered the small tote, but if you win, you can choose whether you want the small or large.  And actually, I always offer the winner the option of choosing the cash value of everything if they don’t want the actual items in the giveaway. 😉

Vuori Jumpsuit

Everything Vuori makes is so dreamy! They fabric is incredibly soft and you want to live in every piece.  I started with the workout tanks, then got the joggers and now have the jumpsuit.  It’s so good!  I love the no brainer dressing when you pull on a jumpsuit – just one piece and you’re done.  It’s great for lounging, running errands, carpool, sporting events and more.

Rattan Boxes

You might have seen these rattan boxes moving around my house.  They’ve lived in my bedroom, living room and currently sit on my office bookshelves.  They’ve been out of stocked, but are back and come in a set of two.  They’re a great size with a glass lid that is functional and opens.  You can store likes like stationary, remote controls or just use them decoratively as an added textural element.

Nike Sneakers

I bought these lightweight, breathable Nikes at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and have been wearing them for workout sessions.  That’s what they’re designed for – circuits, sprints and squats.  If you do OrangeTheory or F45, you’ll probably like these! They’ve got a flexible step, yet offer stability for lifts and strength training.  I bought the basic black, but these colors sure are pretty! They fit TTS.

__________

And now for the relationship update.  I wanted to share it with you here since it was such a big part of my life for the last couple of years and you have been cheering me on every step of the way.  I appreciate you caring about my relationship and being happy for me when I’m happy.

The disappointing news is that Brian and I are no longer together.  The best way I can sum it up is to say that the relationship ran its course and we parted ways amicably.  He’s a great guy and I’ve wished him all the best and he returned the sentiment.  Of course it stings, but I’m accepting it.

Looking back, I’m proud of how I showed up in that relationship.  I learned more about the things I need and want going forward.  I’m thankful for that.

I just want you to know that your support, kind words and encouragement really lift me up.  I read every message and I’m always honored that you took the time to write. It means so much to me. ♥

Now let’s go kick Monday’s booty!

Your strength really comes across in all your writing and you really inspire me so much. I was just reading your post where you shared journaling has helped you a lot. I use journaling for self-care too! So, I’ve just started on this blog journey with you and I’m sending you some virtual hugs right now too.

  17. Megan, you and Brian met at a time that wasn’t meant to be. After following your blog for years, I firmly believe you both needed this relationship for healing, reflection and the ability to move on. You both were lucky to find each other. Not gonna lie, my heart is hurting for you both. I wish you both happiness.

  18. Sending you big hugs right now. Even when you know it’s for the best, the end of a relationship is never easy. I love that you are proud of yourself…as you should be. 22. Breakups always sting, even under the best circumstances. I went through a couple extremely difficult relationships in my life before finally finding my “one” at 38 and now we have a beautiful baby boy. I truly believe God always has us where we’re supposed to be even when we may not understand why in the moment. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  23. A little late to the game! Sorry to hear about your breakup news. I wonder how many “red flags” you’ve been pushing down the past 2 years. Even though on paper it all looked so good, no one knows what goes on behind closed doors! I only hope you stay as strong and positive as you seem to be in real life, keep those kids your #1 priority and keep doing this blog/work we all love!!
