Hi friend!  I hope you had a great 4th of July weekend.  We kept things pretty low key and did bake that rainbow cake I was telling you about.  We all conked out early and I’m so glad for the extra rest!

BOOTS/BOOTIES

Of course, boots and booties is one of the first things I like to check out each year.  I saw several western styles making an appearance, and other styles that look very similar to last year.

I like that combat boot with the combo of edginess and femininity with the pearl embellishment.  The Blondo bootie is elegant and waterproof.  Bootie #6 and Bootie #9 look like the best sellers.

Shoes

I’m really crazy for the heeled sandals this year.  The two flats are great options for work when you’re on your feet a lot.  Sneaker #8 is by Sofft and I can’t wait to try it on – they have a reputation for making ultra comfy shoes with padded footbeds.  Sneaker #10 looks sporty and fun (also comes in black/metallic).  Which do you prefer?

TOPS

I definitely want to add some new tops to my wardrobe this year.  I like the mix of sweaters, short sleeves, pullovers and even the Splendid tee I love is included in the sale.  It’s a great shape and well made – better than the thin Caslon tees in my opinion.

I’ve gotten one Rails plaid button down at the last two Anniversary Sales and I’ve never regretted it.  They’re incredibly soft and the perfect modern shape.  I wear them with shorts, jeans, and leggings.

BOTTOMS

I’m excited to try the new denim brand we’ve never seen in the Sale before, I’ll be curious how they fit and report back. I also like to get my premium jeans like Frame or AG on sale.  The Spanks perfect pants are included as well as the NYDJ soft knit trousers.  The two faux leather pieces are fun to have in your closet- so many ways to style them.

JACKETS & CARDIGANS

One of the things in the whole sale I want to try is the Mastermind Jacket.  It’s so cute and sporty!  You also can’t go wrong with a classic trench, that chic leather jacket or the rain jacket.  I liked the light blue, Ali-Shaun prefers the olive green.

The bubble cardigan is back and I wore my white one a ton last year.  Happily, there are new colors this year.
