Backyard BBQ Fun & Patio Decor

Hi friend! Welcome to a fresh, new week!  We cranked up the BBQ for the first time this weekend and it made for such a lovely evening.  We grilled red snapper that Brian caught on a fishing trip and it was delicious!  Served with a fresh, cold salad and then key lime pie and cheesecake for dessert!  So yummy!

And don’t ask me how we got started on it, but we binge watched Love is Blind. Have you seen it?

When the kids are here, it will be fun to do s’mores outside, and I’ve been very happy with these skewers.

I’m super happy to see them today and they are going to be so surprised to come home to a new basketball goal in the driveway!

We had a goal at our old house, but the new owners requested it stay with the house.  We’ve missed having it and I found this one on sale at Walmart!  It was normally $430, on sale for $274 and it can raise and lower from 7.5 feet (perfect for Jordan) to 10 feet (great for James).  I’m so excited for them to see it and start playing basketball again.

I also ordered Jordan more sidewalk chalk since we go through that so fast. We’ll be trying out this water sprinkler hose and having fun with water balloons.  We’ve ordered this bunch ‘o balloons in the past and it makes filling the balloons super easy.  That big block tower looks fun too- my daughter is surprisingly good at that game.

And if you’re hosting a 4th of July party or wanting to add some festive decor to your patio, all of these red, white and blue items are from Amazon!

Fourth Of July Backyard BBQ

I’m looking forward to the 4th of July holiday, we’ll be hanging out at home and cooking some good food on the grill.  I shared lots of Independance Day outfits here.  And this tank just arrived from Etsy.  I think that’s what I’ll end up wearing.

And since we’re spending lots more time outdoors lately, here are some ideas for sprucing up your patio decor.

If you think of your patio as an extension of the living spaces in your home, you can have fun adding decorative elements like rugs, seating with comfortable/pretty pillows, and a place to set your cold iced tea.
