Hi friends! Welcome back to my blog and to our very first Nordstrom Anniversary Sale shop with me and Ali-Shaun dressing room post! We’ve been shopping the sale together since 2018 and we love to bring you along!
Many of you have come to adore Ali-Shaun just as much as I do and I know you appreciate seeing outfits on her. We both found lots of great styles and many keepers this year!
Let’s get to it!
SHOP THE NSALE WITH ME AND ALI-SHAUN
My Size Reference: I’m short (5’1) and I typically wear size 0P/25 jeans, XSP/XS in tops and dresses.
Ali-Shaun Size Reference: She’s taller (5’4), and usually wears a size 8-10 in jeans, and Medium/Medium Petite or size 8 in tops and dresses. Her shoe size is 7.5.

I started with one of my favorite budget-friendly jean brands, Kut from the Kloth – just $58! The Donna ankle skinny is perfect because it’s got lots of stretch, so it’s easy to wear with a flattering high waist. I like the raw edge hem and how it’s not too long. Ali-Shaun is wearing the darker washed, hemmed jeans.
Rails plaid button down tops are a Fall staple and their style is always effortlessly chic. I like to cuff the sleeves for a relaxed look.
The Marc Jacobs bootie is gorgeous and a classic pointy toe bootie that will go with everything in your closet. I found it ran slightly narrow.
Ali-Shaun prefers a low heel and loved these flat booties. They’re really comfortable and she can also wear them to the office.

Ali-Shaun spotted this cloud-like pale blue sweater and had to try it on. It’s crazy soft and I like the slouchy style with a drop sleeve. You can also wear it off the shoulder if you prefer.
These Steve Madden booties were my favorite in the sale and are sure to go quick! They have a pointy toe and side slits, with an easy on/off zipper in the back.
I had the wedge sneakers on my Wish List, but my store didn’t have the black/tweed, so I ordered those online. The brown suede were cute too though!

I was so happy to see that my store had the Tory Burch crossbody bag I’d been eyeing! It’s so pretty in person with the creamy white background and green/blue stripe. The tan leather pulls it all together. I’ll spray it with Scotch Guard to help protect it from getting dirty.

Ali-Shaun loves all things green (it matches her pretty eyes) and preferred this crossbody bag.
And the Tory Burch wallets are classic and so well made.
Ali-Shaun literally did a happy dance when she saw the Longchamp BACKPACKS in the sale! She’s been wanting one for a long time and said it will be great for all the days spent at the ballfields, and for traveling.
And the cool thing about these totes is that they’re expandable by unzipping them. I have the navy, but the orange is calling my name.
PRO TIP : This one comes from a reader: Just a bonus note on the Longchamp bag – if any Longchamp bag gets damaged or just starts to look less than great b/c of wear and tear, you can bring it to Nordstrom and they will send it out for a refresh/repair for you for FREE! It makes it an even greater value!

It’s been so long since I’ve worn a scarf, I almost forgot how to wear it! I did a big front knot with this one and I adore the colors in it- pale blue/grey and tan, along with the fringe detail.
The floppy hat is perfect for Fall, hides bad hair days and is adjustable. It also comes in grey/black.

We loved this neutral jeans/sweater/bootie outfit. The sweater is a tunic length style with a fun bubble texture on the front and contrasting sleeve. Such a fresh winter white!

I really loved this textured sweater tank! It’s so pretty and I could start wearing it now!
There are two nice knee-high boot options in the sale. This pair has a western nod, and I like how it dips down in the front. I ordered the cognac color because I think it’s so pretty and I love the warmth of that shade.

The shape of this hat is so chic- it’s made to bend in that front swoop and it’s really flattering. You can also adjust the size with a ribbon inside the hat.
I shared with you yesterday my FAVORITE JEANS IN THE SALE so far! They are incredibly flattering, comfortable and well-made. The darker wash and no distressing gives you legs for days.
They fit TTS and Ali-Shaun and I both came home with them.

Here’s the other knee high boot with more of a modern cut and square toe. If you had to pick one, this one would be more versatile with the classic leg shape.

We both really liked this woven hat with the navy trim. It looked great on Ali-Shaun!
I’m obviously drawn to neutrals and really liked this grey sweater. It’s a relaxed style, and the texture keeps it interesting.

I like the smaller stone on the new Kendra Scott pendant necklace. These longer necklaces look especially good with tunic tops.

This bubble cardigan from Madewell came home with both of us. It has a ‘bouncy’ feel to it and I really like the shorter length.

Shopping is better with a friend . . . and Mimosas!! We’ve been fortunate to make friends with some of the kindest people at Nordstrom. Our girl Jamece moved away this year, but she left us in good hands with Robert and Charday!

Another keeper is the Madewell cardigan. It’s so cute in the colorblock and feels nice and soft. Bonus, that it has pockets! Of course, I got the grey one too!

The Steve Madden chain flats didn’t disappoint. They’re as cute as they are comfy and you can’t go wrong with any of the colors. I bought the tan, but also came pretty close to getting the tweed! That pink sure is fun too!

Oh YES! A rain jacket and in GREEN! This was PERFECT for Ali-Shaun! It’s quilted inside, lightweight and insulated, water resistant, has pockets inside and out and you can remove the zip hoodie.

Ali-Shaun was CRAZY for these sneakers. They are light as air and she loved them so much that she bought a pair for her husband!
They’re all over my gym and when I researched the technology behind them and read about the construction, I realized they’re not just cute, but designed for runners. Now, I want a pair too!

The NSale is definitely when I buy a new winter jacket – for myself and for the kids. This one is by The North Face is insulated, water resistant with a hoodie. I also like the shorter style, and cuffed wrists that give it a sporty look. It’s not a huge, bulky jacket, but will pack nicely and travel well.

I’m so glad I got to try on a pair of Sperry boots – they’ll be perfect for wearing in our Houston rain. I think they’ll be easier to slip into with the zippered side. The green looks great in person, but I ordered the grey with yellow trim!

Oh my word, SO COZY! Which color do you like best? Which one do you think I got? ;). These jackets are so soft and I like to wear them even with just a tank or tee underneath.

I have an older version of these UGG boots and LOVE them! They feel great on your feet and keep them nice and toasty on chilly days and nights.

This is a great – not too hot, not too cold quilted jacket in a pretty green with a hoodie. If you prefer tan, it comes in that shade too.

Ali-Shaun prefers the shorter Hunter boots and said she appreciates how you can adjust the calf fit.

Boots Fit : These run large, size down
I was really interested in these Tory Burch slides, but they didn’t have my size. In fact, they run really large, I’d recommend sizing down one whole size.
If you live in a colder climate and like a jacket that covers your rear and thighs, this is a great one. It also has a higher collar to shield your neck and face from the cold. The cuffed wrist help keep the cold out too. When I visit NY in the winter, this is the coat I want to take with me!

**This hoodie leather jacket was one of our faves! It’s so buttery soft and a great mix of biker meets activewear.

I wasn’t crazy about this moto jacket in the black, but in this olive green, I really like it- especially on Ali-Shaun with her dark hair and green eyes.

We both liked this lightweight, waffle knit top and it’s extra cute from behind with the criss-cross back! I think Ali-Shaun looks so good in the red.

I loved this tank so much! It’s extremely figure flattering, slimming and has a built-in shelf bra.

Of course we can’t leave the store without trying on Barefoot Dreams cardigans! They are still so comfy and what we love to cozy up in. Ali-Shaun was smitten with the sage green color.

But, one of things on our MUST HAVE list are the UGG slippers! They feel so amazing on your feet and I love how you just slip your foot into and out of them. They have that shearling lining and a thick rubber sole that is strong and sturdy. I’m wearing mine right now while I type this!
