Hi friends! Happy Friday! Do you have any fun plans this weekend? I’m super excited for a weekend getaway with Brian to Galveston! It’s just about an hour drive from Houston, so an easy trip and he booked two nights in a little condo for us. We haven’t had much alone time since before our Florida trip, so that will be amazing!
And today is a fun day because now all Nordstrom cardholders can shop the Anniversary Sale! I’m sure you have your wishlists saved and ready to go! I’m excited to share Part 2 of my dressing room try-on with my girlfriend, Ali-Shaun. If you missed Part 1, catch it here.

My Size Reference: I’m short (5’1) and I typically wear size 0P/25 jeans, XSP/XS in tops and dresses.
Ali-Shaun Size Reference: She’s taller (5’4), and usually wears a size 8-10 in jeans, and Medium/Medium Petite or size 8 in tops and dresses.

This outfit is definitely making me crave Fall! I like the mock neck that isn’t too constricting and the little flecks of color throughout.

The same sweater also looks great with this suede skirt that zips on the side. I’m wearing the ‘caramel macchiato’ (a dark brown), and it also comes in ‘high altitude’ (a greige). The skirt can be versatile for work to weekend and would also look great with tights or a graphic tee and boots.

Several of you mentioned going back into the office, so we looked for workwear options too. This dotted dress can be worn to work or dinner and would also look great with a heel.

Ali-Shaun is back in the office several times a week now and has to dress professionally. She really liked these ponte knit pants as a wardrobe staple that can be styled many different ways.
They have a flat front with a zipper and hook & eye closure with belt loops and are ankle length.

Ali-Shaun looks so good in dresses that accentuate her small waist. This floral dress has all the Fall vibes with those autumnal colors and petite florals. It’s slightly high low and another option she’d feel great in at work.

I thought this woven strap heel was really fun and I especially like the tangerine color. The heel is 3 1/4 high and they have a square toe. You’ll wear them with everything from dressy shorts (now) to skirts, jeans, jumpsuits, and slacks.

This pin dot top with a ruffled collar and sleeves looked elegant and classy with the black pants. I’m a fan of a monochromatic outfit, but the tweed mules and green bag break up the all-black ensemble.

These are the Mother jeans I’ve been raving about! The solid, darker wash are elongating and I love how I don’t have to hem them! This outfit is great for a lunch or casual Friday at work.
The top is on the sheer side, and not necessarily my fave. I liked it better in black.

I can’t quit the sherpa jackets! This teddy bear fleece feels oh so cuddly and has me wishing for cold weather! You can cinch the bottom with the drawstring and it has pockets. It also comes in black.

This dress could also be worn to work. It’s a thick, sweater material and it feels substantial on. I like it with booties!

And here’s a date night option for ya! This cabernet color is sexy as is the bodycon fit.

Ali-Shaun was in love with this outfit! The sweater is an oversized, slouchy fit that you can wear long with leggings like she did here. It also looks good if you size down and wear it with jeans and a front tuck.
The leggings are the faux leather Spanx, a wardrobe staple that can be styled so many ways.
I love how the leggings look with those black booties, giving Ali-Shaun legs for days!

She looked so pretty in this blue dress! We know green is her color, but blue sure looks look on her too!

It’s tradition to head to the Barefoot Dreams section of the store and drool all over everything! We’re all about the cozy cardigans and this sage green is so pretty!
But, one of things on our MUST HAVE list are the UGG slippers! They feel so amazing on your feet and I love how you just slip your foot into and out of them. They have that shearling lining and a thick rubber sole that is strong and sturdy. I’m wearing mine right now while I type this! 😉

The UGG slippers also come in a gorgeous navy! I didn’t see that color at my store, but if I had, I would’ve been tempted to buy them. I got the ‘caribou’ color, but the light grey is also a pretty neutral. And the pink is eye candy!

The activewear selection in the sale is really good this year. There’s lots to choose from and several quality pieces I recommend.
First up, every time I put on Nike leggings I wonder why I don’t wear them more often! This pair is extremely silky smooth and feels fantastic against your skin and I also love how they’re seamless on the sides. They also feel like they breathe well and are moisture wicking. Hidden pockets are in the front and back.
This is the sports bra I had on my Wishlist. It’s the Pure Seamless bra by Zella with moderate support and removable cups. I really liked the breathable perforations on the racerback.

This long sleeve Zella tee was one of my favorites from last year’s sale and I bought the grey one this year. It’s another one of those super soft pieces that feels so good on. I wore mine a ton this year and they look good as new. I machine wash and dry them.

The slip on, laceless Nike sneaker was on my Wishlist. It has a higher arch that took me a minute to get used to, but I love the easy slip-on and sock fit, plus the buoyancy in each step.

I don’t normally go for patterned workout wear, but I like this style with modern florals. I’d probably break the set apart though and wear the top with solid leggings or the bottoms with a solid top.
I do appreciate the higher neckline on the sports bra and the wide waistband.

I’m always reaching for sweatshirts and this one is a well-made, hoodie version by Zella. It’s a great weight and I like a kangaroo pocket.

I’m happy to add a quality running shoe to my wardrobe. I haven’t had a new one in a long time and I’m looking forward to walking and jogging outside more. This pair by ASICS is wonderful and they have a wider toe box, perfect for wider feet. I like this color, but the Pink Salt is my fave!

Ali-Shaun was crazy for the ON sneakers and raved about them so much, it made me buy a pair for myself and Brian!

The aqua colored marbling on these Spanx leggings drew me to them right away. They also felt good on, with a high waist and booty lifting design. Anything that lifts my rear gets an immediate thumbs up!
The tank is also by Spanx with a higher neck, shorter length and I like that the arm holes aren’t huge.

OMGeeee! These lounge sweatpants are heavenly! They have a wide, stretchy waistband with a drawstring tie, and fitted at the waist, with pockets, then a straight leg down. I never wanted to take them off – even if they were 10 miles too long!
That Nike tank is so good too! It’s fitted and flattering and has a built-in shelf bra. I feel like I could order 10 of them, I liked it so much! I’ll probably it around the house as often as I go walk/workout in it.

Y’all, I hope you can get your hands on this robe because it’s probably my favorite thing in the whole sale! It’s so soft and stretchy with ribbed texture, pockets and a tie belt. It feels so good on and is the perfect weight. I want to get one for my Mom for Christmas too!

Under the robe was the ultra soft Barefoot Dreams pajamas! Those are also so soft and something we really didn’t want to take off after trying on all those clothes!
We are always wiped after a long try-on session, but in the best way! Our reward for trying on all.the.things is a big lunch in the Nordstrom cafe! We headed upstairs to lunch and passed by the housewares on the way.
Of course, we stopped at the blankets and admired all the cozy Barefoot Dreams! They have a couple of new colors and styles this year. The pink leopard is really cute and I’m tempted to get it for Jordan’s room.
Ali-Shaun and Rhonda got this super plush soft throw blanket for Christmas gifts to give this year.
We also love the fringe throw blankets and they are so soft! I have the ivory in my living room and Ali-Shaun has the blue and navy in hers. Select colors are on sale for under $25! Those make great gifts too!
Rhonda and I passed by the marble & wooden serving boards and each had to have one!
