Hi friends!  The kids are schooling from home today, so we’re planning to take advantage of our beautiful, warm weather and hit the pool this afternoon.  That will be a fun change of pace!  It’s been getting really warm in Houston, with random rain showers mixed in.  The weekend is looking really good though – mid 80s and sunny!

Statement Necklace

I just received this statement necklace and it looks way more expensive in person than the $17 price tag! It’s actually two necklaces in one, with a beaded row and a gold chain link.  Such and easy way to add some interest to your outfit, and with the neutral tones, it will go with everything!

I’m so smitten with these jeans!  They are a crop length, but in a comfortable high rise.  At the ankle is a cute slit with rivit detail.  They look so fresh for Spring and Summer, plus they are super opaque with nice stretch.  They’re made with “lift-tuck technology to flatten the tummy and lift the rear.”  SOLD!!

They come in regular and petite. I’m wearing my true size, 0P, but it’s recommended to size down since they do stretch with wear.

Knife Set

I’ve had this knife for a year and have since donated my other knives.  Not only is the set pretty in bright white, it comes with the stylish and practical wooden knife block.  It also includes the knife sharpening steel and pair of scissors.

Each forged knife is made from high carbon stainless steel, which makes the blade resistant to stains and corrosion.  Each knife feels great in my hand, and I reach for the 5-inch Santoku knife all.the.time (it’s the bottom right, just above the steak knives).  I find that one is the perfect size for easily slicing fruits and vegetables, which is what I use it most often for.  It’s great because it’s not so long.

The steak knives slice meat easily and even Brian commented how much he likes them.  We do date night almost every Thursday, but we don’t always go to a restaurant- we often cook at home.  He’s helpful in the kitchen and uses the knives just like I do!

In the summer, many of us like to eat lighter and healthier and making your meals at home is the easiest way to do that.  I find that if I have good quality tools (and pan!), it makes me want to get in the kitchen and cook.

Don’t tell Brian, but I’m getting him The Always Pan in blue for Father’s Day!  He’ll be so excited!  p.s. It’s still on sale – 20% off!

Faux Tulips

I’ve had these tulips forever and they are the most realistic I’ve found.  They have a rubbery texture that makes them look lifelike- not like those flimsy, almost-polyester types.  And, they come in a set of 20 for just $16 PRIME!
