Spring Beauty

Hi friends!  I hope your week is off to a great start!  The Monday after Spring Break was a rough one, but we made it!  And I think we’ve finally adjusted to the time change.  I love when it stays lighter later- we were able to go on a family bike ride after dinner yesterday- so nice!

Today, I’m sharing some beauty faves that I use and thought you might be interested in too.  If you try just three things here, I’d recommend the hair & body spray, SPF moisturizer, and the new ‘creamy’ formula concealer.  But dang, that Charlotte Tilbury lipstick shade always brings the compliments!

Brazilian Crush Hair & Body Mist • Versed Lip Oil • Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick – Liv it Up • Revitalash •  Marshmallow Primer • Tarte Eyeshadow Palette • Shape Tape Ultra Creamy Concealer • Airbrush Legs • CereVe Lotion with SPF

Brazilian Crush • I’m obsessed with this body/hair mist!  It’s from the same people that make the amazing Bum Bum Cream, so you know it’s got to be good!  The Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 71 is deliciously scented with notes of caramelized vanilla and toasted macadamia nut.  Some people say they love it for Fall, but I think it’s perfect for this time of year and goes great with warm weather, sunshine and sandy beaches!  You can spritz it from head to toe and even onto your clothing or bed linens.  The word Cheirosa means “to smell incredibly delicious” and it does!

Versed Lip Oil • This is a lip conditioning oil that’s tinted with a hint of color.  It’s moisturizing, hydrating and anti-aging, keeping your lips feeling super soft for hours.  The cool thing about it is that the color and moisture stays on even after the oil is fully absorbed so your lips stay quenched and you don’t have to keep reapplying!  I have shade “Blossom”

Charlotte Tilbury – Liv it Up • Lots of y’all have asked about this lip color when I wear it on Stories.  I think it’s a perfect shade of pale pink, but not so light that the color looks juvenile or disappears.  It feels great on and lasts a long time!  I almost always wear this one on “date night”.  😉

Revitalash •  I’ve waited to share this lash serum until I had tried it for several weeks so I could see how it worked for me.  After using it nightly for about 3 or so weeks, I have noticed my lashes growing longer- I can even tell by where my lashes are on my lash curler now!

I’ve used other lash lengtheners in the past and they’ve worked well too, but I think this is one of those products that you have to keep using to see results.  Revitalash was developed by a physician and protects against breakage and improves flexibility and shine.  You simply apply a thin line onto your upper lash line once a day.  I do it at night before I go to bed and it doesn’t irritate my eyes at all.  Hello longer lashes!!  I got mine on Amazon prime for under $100.

Marshmallow Primer • I was happily surprised by the way my pores disappeared when I used this primer before applying my makeup.  It has a light pink creamy consistency that easily blends into your skin to smooth, soften and extend the wear of your makeup.  I felt like I was walking around with a filter on my skin when I wore it! I like that it’s non comedogenic because my skin tends to break out easily with certain products, but I was fine with this one.

Tarte Eyeshadow Palette • Ooh, this palette is so good, no wonder it’s a cult favorite!  I’m crazy for the colors in it, and they come in a variety of matte and shimmer.  I usually do a sweep of the lightest shades across my entire lid, then use a darker shade in a “>” shape at the lid crease using a windshield wiper motion.  Finally, I blend everything together with a medium shade.

With this palette, you can achieve a number of stunning looks- taking you from day to night.  I’m really happy with all the neutral rosy and bronzy shades and variety of colors- plus, the mirror is nice and big!

Shape Tape Ultra Creamy •  Tarte finally came out with a Shape Tape concealer for us ladies that don’t have 20 year-old skin!!   I know so many people swear by the original Shape Tape, but I found it way too heavy for me.  This lighter “ultra creamy” version is so much better on my skin!

It’s a full coverage concealer, but more nourishing with a creamy consistency that didn’t settle into the fine lines around my eyes.  I will say, a little goes a long way!  The first time I put it on, I was wiping half of it off!  I’m using shade 12B.

Airbrush Legs • Y’all!  They named this stuff right because it truly gives you AIRBRUSHED LEGS!!  It’s a spray-on tanning mist that gives your legs a boost of color, but also smooths everything out in the process!  I think it’s pretty genius!

I had the best results when I sprayed the mist onto a tanning mitt, and then applied it to my legs in large, circular motions.  The mitt helps you get an even application and also protects your palms from getting stained.

NO FILTER | Left (non airbrushed) • Right (airbrushed)- so smooth looking!!

CereVe Lotion with SPF • I’ve been using this moisturizer with SPF 30 every morning as the last step in my skincare routine.  It’s one of the only sunscreens that I can apply to my face and there are no issues like breakouts.

It’s a creamy lotion with niacinamide (a form of vitamin B3, a superhero ingredient in skincare products.  It controls excess oil production and helps with hyperpigmentation and minimizing pores) and hyaluronic acid (a humectant, beneficial for hydrating skin).

I use about 1/4 teaspoon and apply it liberally all over my face, neck and then add more to my chest. If you’re not used to using that much, you’ll think it’s a huge amount, but you need that much to cover your entire face to (and including) your ears and down onto your neck.  And you want to spread it out evenly, not let it goop up on your skin.

Your dermatologist will likely tell you that the SPF in your foundation isn’t enough to truly protect your skin because you’d need to use way too much of it for it it be effective.

After I apply this sunscreen, I wait about 5-10 minutes? for it to absorb before applying my makeup.  It’s okay if your skin feels just the slightest bit tacky when you start applying your makeup- it gives the makeup something to grip onto.

It’s so good and drugstore priced with over 27,000 positive reviews on Amazon.

What beauty products are you loving this month?  Is there something you’ve been curious about that you want me to try and report back on?  Let me know!
