Hi friends! Happy Friday! I’m so ready to welcome the weekend! This week after Spring Break has been go, go, go! I’m ready to slow down and savor the weekend. It’s another one with nothing on the agenda, and I relish those!
Most of the time our lives are so busy, filled with to-do’s and activities and commitments. We need that ‘white space’ so we can have time to be still, to ponder, to sleep!
I’ve had a mild headache for the last several days, and I think some extra sleep will really do me good this weekend! I hope yours is restful too!
Today, I’m welcoming you into our home and sharing some sprinkles of Spring decor and our easy Easter table!
SPRING DECOR & EASY EASTER TABLE
Cheerful yellow and white tulip wreaths adorn our double doors and they make me smile everyt ime I see them. I had the red and pink wreaths last year, but something about yellow is so sunshiney and happy! Especially this time of year.
They’re nice and big and realistic looking with TONS of tulips on there so it’s nice and full looking. The little green sprigs add some whimsy.
This smaller table was getting crowded so I moved it here. It looks great with the Pottery Barn vase and green faux branches.
I pulled out our bunny wreath again- Jordan gets a kick out of this and I think it’s pretty cute too!
In Jordan’s playroom, I simply added some happy Easter pillows to update the mini sofa. I love how those pillow covers have texture on them so it adds dimension instead of being just flat.
Upstairs in my sitting room, I added the pink burlap trimmed pillows. I was so impressed by how good they look in person and the quality of craftsmanship. The invisible zippers are sewn perfectly, and it was easy to stuff a pillow inside. I got the 18×18 pillow covers and used 20×20 inserts so they’d have a fuller look.
EASY EASTER TABLE
It didn’t take much to transform my neutral dining room into a Spring celebration. I started with a crisp white table runner and napkins for a bright blank slate that the pastel colors could pop against.
Then, this adorable bunny napkin ring holder caught my eye and I had to have him! It’s so cute with the details and really is nice quality.
The pastel dinnerware comes in a set of 6 (18 pieces) with a dinner plate, dessert/salad plate, and bowl. They are absolutely perfect for kids, made with wheat straw material- nearly indestructible and dishwasher safe.
I found two bouquets of pink florals on Amazon and my mom had the idea to add fresh baby’s breath to them. I wouldn’t have thought of that, but I love how it looks! I like the mix of faux flowers and this particular bunch comes in a pretty white ceramic jar.
You might recognize this dress from a recent Amazon try on. I got it in both pink and blue for Tarah’s gender reveal party and pink won! 🙂
How freaking adorable are these cupcakes?! You could make them at home, but I let Walmart make the mess this time! They also had the cutest cookies!
But seriously, that bunny pedestal plate!! I’ve seen it before, but it was sold out. I grabbed it as soon as I saw it back in stock!
That face!! She was so excited when she got home from school and saw these treats!! Man, I just love her so much!
This is the second bouquet of flowers I bought so that I could have a mix of varieties.
Aren’t’ those cookies cute?! If you want to make them at home, Walmart has Easter themed cookie cutters. But mine never turn out as pretty!
I have a feeling I’ll have lots of fun filling this little cloche for different seasons. For now, a nesting bird made her home here.
I also added the pink pillows here for another pop of color and texture.
I couldn’t believe how good those faux cherry blossoms looked when they arrived! They come in a set of three and you can also get them in light pink. I have three sets inside this large mouth vase, but just one set of three is all you need for a smaller mouth vessel.
EASTER BASKET FILLERS
A playful mix of fun and practical is what I aim for when assembling my kids’ Easter baskets! They’re getting new swimsuits & water shoes/flip flops, a few toys, candy and a Bible. PRIME to the rescue for last minute basket stuffers!
James got #3, that boxing reflex ball and he and Brian’s kids couldn’t stop playing it! It was hilarious to watch and a little bit intimidating! The record number of hits was 8, or was it 11?? so far.
I ordered the #12 swim trunks, but James saw them online and wanted the American flag style (there’s tons of styles to choose from)- he doesn’t know they’ll be in his Easter basket! I thought the banana trunks were cute, but what does Mom know? The crocs are coming this weekend for Jordan and the swimsuit is ADORABLE but they were out of her size:(
PINK KITCHEN ITEMS
All this Spring decorating with pastel colors took me down the rabbit trail of pink kitchen items – all on Amazon prime!
I have plaid cloth napkins on our breakfast table. The glass food containers are also great- I have those just not in pink! I’m really drooling over the ombre grey to pink mixing bowl set! I should get that, right?!
