4 Easy Valentine’s Day Treats

*Thank you to Walmart+ for sponsoring today’s post and making Valentine’s Day extra sweet!

Hi friends!  I hope your week is going fantastic! I’ve got Valentine’s Day on the brain and today I’m partnering with Walmart+ and sharing 4 super easy Valentine’s Day treats with you!  I like to make the day a little special with some cute decorations and sweet treats.  I think it’s fun for the kiddos and I enjoy it too!

Even if you’re not the greatest baker (I’m not either!), these recipes are seriously so easy and tasty!  One is a no-bake cheesecake you literally cannot mess up.  Second, is an assemble-only salty and sweet treat.  Third, we turned Rhonda’s Chocolate Chip Cookies into Valentine’s cookies by adding Valentine’s M&Ms.

Finally, you could also always go the super easy route and pick up Valentine’s themed cupcakes from Walmart.  They are darling, delicious and already made!

Y’all know I’ve come to heavily rely on the Walmart+ membership for ordering my groceries online and having them delivered to my door.  I even meal prep with my Walmart+ membership.

With Walmart+, you can: (1) shop online and get Walmart+ FREE shipping, with no order minimum on items from Walmart.com (excludes oversized/freight & Marketplace items); (2) get items through free delivery from your store to your door.  ($35 minimum, restrictions apply); (3) shop inside the store with the mobile scan & go benefit in the Walmart app for a contact free checkout; and (4) get member prices on fuel.

You can sign up for Walmart+ HERE.

Ordering my groceries online keeps me from making those impulse purchases that tend to happen when you’re inside the store. This time, however, I wanted to head to Walmart to see the Valentine’s Day goodies in person.  They had sooo many cute things!  My Mom and Jordan came too and I swear we were all giddy looking at everything.

I still used my Walmart+ membership “mobile scan & go” for a contract free checkout.

You just open the Walmart app, go to the menu and select your Walmart+ account.  You tap “mobile scan & go” to get started.  Then, as you’re shopping, you scan each item, and when you’re ready to pay, scan the code at self-checkout and pay with your phone.  So easy!  I also found it really helpful to use as a price checker when I wasn’t sure what the price was.

Now, let’s get to the recipes!

NO BAKE CHEESECAKE

I’ve made cheesecake from scratch before and it was a very time consuming process.  Plus, I had to buy a lot of ingredients and it still cracked in the middle! This one uses a pre-made graham cracker crust and just 5 ingredients (and that includes the cherry topping).  I must admit, I was actually surprised at how good this tasted.

If I was making it again, I would probably make my own crust (it’s not that hard) and I wouldn’t do the cherry topping simply because it’s a little sweet for my taste.  I’d just add fresh strawberries on top.  Either way, you can’t go wrong!

SWEET & SALTY VALENTINE’S CHEX MIX

Treats you only have to assemble and not bake are my fave!  This one is so simple and looks really pretty when you’re done!

RHONDA’S VALENTINE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Remember Rhonda’s Chocolate Chip Cookies?!  Who could forget! Well, we turned them into Valentine’s Chocolate Chip Cookies by adding Valentine’s colored M&M’s!  I still prefer the regular recipe and literally could eat the whole batch by myself, but these are cute for a holiday treat!

RHONDA’S VALENTINE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES RECIPE

Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup unsalted butter

• 1/2 cup Crisco (I use the Crisco sticks instead of the can)

• 3/4 cup light brown sugar packed

• 3/4 cup sugar

• 2 large eggs

• 1 teaspoon of vanilla

• 1 teaspoon of salt

• 1 teaspoon baking soda

• 2 cups All-Purpose flour

• 1 box INSTANT vanilla pudding

• 1 bag of Valentine M&M’s

• 1/2 bag of semi sweet chocolate minis

Instructions:

Set oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter and Crisco together with sugars until creamy.

Add eggs one at a time.

Add the vanilla, salt, and baking soda. I like to add in a little extra salt when I bake with chocolate so my teaspoon is not exact. It is a SMALL teaspoon mound if that makes sense. But be careful, too much salt can ruin the taste.

Add in the vanilla pudding powder and the flour.

Stir in Valentine M&M’s and chocolate chips.

Once the oven is preheated, place cookies in tablespoon full mounds on a cookie sheet and bake 10-12 minutes depending on your oven. Some ovens have quicker bake times. The key is to under bake the cookies! This keeps them chewy. Take them out when they are no longer glossy in the middle and the edges are barely brown. You will think they aren’t done. Let them cool on the cookie sheet so they continue to bake a little. I think they are best fresh from the oven. Store the leftovers in air tight container so they don’t go stale.

ENJOY!

VALENTINE’S CUPCAKES

And last but not least, when I was in Walmart, I couldn’t help but notice the cutest Valentine’s Day cupcakes.  They had a mix of chocolate and vanilla with festive red, pink and white icing.  And the little heart-shaped ring on top was a fun touch.  The cupcakes taste delicious and Jordan really loved them, including that little ring!

It has a hand handle and a removable shoulder strap, zips closed at the top with two inner slip pockets.  I’m smitten!!
