Your Favorite Fashion & Beauty 2020

Hi friends!  Happy almost 2021!  Can you believe we’re at the end of 2020?!  I think we can all say we’re ready for a fresh start, even if it’s just another day on the calendar.  In our hearts and minds, it CAN be a fresh start and I’m ready to embrace it!

Most of the time on my blog, I’m sharing my favorite things and recommendations with you, but I love seeing what you love too!  I looked into my analytics to see what your favorites of 2020 were in fashion, skincare, makeup and hair.

It’s no surprise that many of your faves are mine too!  Let’s see!

Billie Dry ShampooT3 HairdryerOlaplex Hair PerfectorHot Toddy Heat Protectant • Oribe Volume Powder • Shu Uemura MousseDry Texturizing Spray

Billie Dry Shampoo • This dry shampoo eliminates greasiness and provides lift and texture.

T3 Hairdryer • I’ve been so impressed with this hairdryer.  Not only is it a beautiful tool, it’s much lighter than my previous hairdryer and it has ergonomic handle, making it really easy to hold.  It’s gentler on my hair so it stays healthier.

Olaplex Hair PerfectorThank you Lord for this product that has finally grown out my brittle, broken bangs!

Hot Toddy Heat Protectant • What I like about this heat protectant is that you spray it on your dry hair. I like to use it on day two or three hair if I am re-curling pieces or applying heat from a flat iron.  It’s great for all hair types and colors.

Oribe Volume Powder • This texturizing root-lift powder instantly adds buildable grip and style.  It doubles the volume of your hair, but you can ‘feel’ the grip in there, so it might take some getting used to.  It’s almost like you teased your hair, but without the teasing.

Shu Uemura Mousse • This is what gives my hair BIG TEXAS VOLUME and shine!

Oribe Texturizing SprayA MUST HAVE!  Give it a try and watch your hair boost in volume, fullness and texture. It’s really what takes your hair from boring to bam.  It can also be used as a dry shampoo.

MAKEUP FAVES

Soft Glam EyeshadowLip MaskConcealerFoundation BrushAll Nighter Setting SprayLipstick • White Eye PencilLash Primer

Soft Glam Eyeshadow • All the neutral shades you’ll ever need and they have a really nice pigment to them.

Lip Mask • I like this so much it was my Favorite Thing this year.

Concealer • My everyday concealer that doesn’t make me look 107! It lightens and brightens and makes you look lit from within.

Foundation Brush • This dense brush makes your foundation go on super smooth and blends it flawlessly.  I’ve been using it to blend my concealer too.

All Nighter Setting Spray • I’m CRAZY for this All Nighter Setting Spray.  It literally keeps my makeup looking like I just applied it all day AND it makes my face way less greasy or shiny throughout the day.  When I don’t use it, I’m constantly using blotting papers to soak up all the excess oil from my cheeks.  I never had to do that once with this product.

After you apply your makeup, you close your eyes (try to keep you face relaxed and not squint), then mist the setting spray onto your face 2-4 times, in an “X” and “T” formation.  You guys know I’m really cautious about putting products on my skin because it tends to breakout easily, but I had no problems with this.

Lipstick • My go-to lipstick is shade “Liv It Up” – such a pretty mid-toned pink!

White Eye Pencil • This eye cheat has been my bright eye makeup secret since last year!  You apply it in your water line to make your eyes look instantly brighter and alive.  I’ve tried a lot of those pencils and many of them don’t work (you can’t even tell you applied it), but this one shows and makes you look more awake.

Lash Primer • If you’re not using a primer before mascara, your lashes are missing out!  This will make them so much more bold and luscious!

SKIN FAVES

Drying Lotion • This stuff is magic.  Dot it onto your pimple before bed, wake up and it’s gone!

Billie Razor • I’ll never go back to my old razors! Smoothest shave, no razor burn, and the magnetic handle is genius.

Bum Bum Cream • We all fell in love with this luscious Brazilian cream this year.  It’s yummy!

Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen • This sunscreen has a velvety finish that doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or shiny. Providing broad-spectrum protection and protection from blue light.

GloPRO Microneedling Tool • I did a detailed post on how to use this handy gadget, so I won’t get too wordy here.  Those teeny little needles on the roller basically prick your skin to make your skin look better.  As the roller moves over your skin, it stimulates the skin so that the skin cells repair themselves, resulting in better looking skin.  Your skincare works better when you apply it right after using this. I use my GloPRO a few times a week and my skin looks so much better since I began using it over a year ago.  My hyperpigmentation has diminished, my skin’s texture and appearance has improved, and my pores seem smaller.

Vitamin C Treatment Complex • Vitamin C’s anti-aging, damage-repairing and UV-protecting powers make it a must-have product in your skincare arsenal. Use it consistently and over time to see the best results, including reducing hyperpigmentation and increasing cell turnover.  My skin is more radiant and even toned since I started using it.

PRO TIP : Apply a thin layer over your face, but don’t forget your neck and chest. Let it absorb for one minute before applying your next product.

Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum • This is one product that I highly recommend for reducing dark spots.  I’ve seen a big improvement in my spots fading when I added this serum to my regimen.  It’s a daily treatment that promotes cellular turnover, which addresses photo-aging, fine lines, acne, dark spots and overall skin texture. Derived from the bitter almond, Mandelic acid is a gentle yet highly effective alpha hydroxy acid (AHA).

Complete Eye Cream • I find that most of my wrinkles are now around my eyes. This eye cream helps smooth wrinkles and fine lines, and offers skin plumping properties under eye circles, puffiness and loss of elasticity.   It’s very gentle and a little goes a long way.  Use your ring finger to tap the product around your eyes.

PRO TIP : if you have product left over, apply it to your lips to help alleviate the fine lines in that area

Radiant Cleansing Balm • One of my number ones in my skincare regimen.  It’s no surprise y’all love it too!

Did you see your favorite product of 2020 here?  If not, do share!  I get so many good recommendations from you too!

I’m wishing y’all a prosperous and joyous new year!
