The Always Pan Review

Thank you to Our Place for sponsoring today’s post.

Hi friends!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend and that your week is off to a great start!  I’ve been sharing glimpses of my cooking recently (remember that Redfish topped with mushroom and crab sauce?!) or the sautéed veggies – but more than the food inside the pan, y’all were interested in the type of pan I was using!

I was sent the Always Pan by Our Place to use and review, and after owning it for over a month, I’m ready to share my experience with you!

The unique thing about the Always Pan is that’s is basically 8 pieces of cookware – a skillet, non-stick pan, saucepan, fry pan, spatula rest, colander and steamer.  You can braise, sear, steam, strain, saute, fry, boil, serve, and store with just the Always Pan.

The Always Pan has quickly gathered a cult following, being used by everyone from the New York Times to Food & Wine to Ms. Oprah herself!  There’s was a 30,000 person waitlist for the Always Pan, so order it now to ensure you have it for the new year!

It’s made of superior non-toxic nonstick ceramic coating, without teflon, toxic metals, or potentially harmful materials, so you can feel good about cooking for your family in it.  With the Always Pan being nonstick, you’ll need less oil to prepare your food.  And isn’t it always better to cook with quality cookware you enjoy using?!

The Always Pan comes with a beechwood spatula and has an integrated spoon rest. How genius is that?  The handle doesn’t get hot, so you can safely hold and maneuver the pan while you’re cooking.

THE ALWAYS PAN NONSTICK TEST

If there’s one thing all of our family eats religiously, it’s pancakes.  I enjoy protein pancakes and James eats a pancake every morning before school.  But, he’s SO particular about how it’s cooked.  It has to be lightly golden brown, not a shade darker.

After many uses, I have found that the Always Pan is truly nonstick and you only need a little fat or oil to coat the pan.  I added a dab of butter to the pan on medium heat, mixed up the pancake batter, and poured it in.

This pan also passed the ‘egg test’ sliding the egg around the pan without sticking to the bottom.

For James’ lightly golden brown pancake, I have to flip it at JUST the right time.

Flipped like a charm! This pancake might even be too dark for his liking, but it looked great to me!  I should have skipped the metal spatula to avoid damaging the pan’s coating, but I was super careful and it wasn’t harmed. #phew

Our Place also has a gorgeous line of plates, bowls, and drinking glasses.  Everything is stackable, which I really appreciate because it fits neatly in the cabinet.

The plates are hand-painted recycled porcelain, and safe in the dishwasher, microwave and oven.   I’ve never owned bowls quite like this with such a sleek design, they’re perfect for anything from cereal to salad and soup.

The drinking glasses are handmade from glass and sand and naturally colored with elements from the earth, no artificial dyes.

I have to say, these pancakes are DELICIOUS!!  I normally eat protein pancakes since they’re healthier, but these were a nice treat!

CLEAN UP

Clean up is a breeze.  Once the pan has cooled down completely, simply rinse the pan with warm soapy water and wipe it clean with a soft sponge.

The Always Pan comes in several pretty shades, I chose the CHAR and it’s a slate charcoal gray, perfect for my neutral-loving heart!

  1. Thanks for the helpful review, Megan! Is the pan heavy (like cast-iron) or is it easy to lift? That is one thing I haven’t been able to find out and and it makes a huge difference to me for cooking and cleaning it.

  2. Thanks! I ordered two, one for me and one for my brothers girlfriend who loves to cook for Christmas! Can’t wait to try it!
