Our Christmas Dining Room
Hi friends! I’m so happy y’all liked seeing our annual Favorite Things as much as I did! I really hope the Christmas in July party happens! We’ve actually been talking about doing that for a couple of years, so now that we had to skip getting together this month, hopefully it’s on for the summer!
Yesterday, Jordan had a case of the Mondays, and I let her stay home with me. It doesn’t happen very often, but sometimes a 4 year-old just needs a little extra home time. We decorated our dining room and Rhonda popped in and came snapped some pics for us!

The festive red, white and green plaid tablecloth set the scene this year and we let it shine by adding only a few other decorative elements to the mix. The tablecloth is such a great quality- you’d swear it was from Pottery Barn, 100% cotton, and the colors are so vibrant and festive!
The table really didn’t need much after that bold pop of color, but I couldn’t help incorporating the matching plaid napkins! They look so good and pop against the white plates.
Joy Plates • Wooden Charger • White Dinner Plates • Gold Flatware • Gold Soup Spoons
I used the same woodgrain chargers that I had in my Thanksgiving table, and our everyday white plates.
To spruce things up, I added plaid dessert plates from Hobby Lobby and the Joy plates from Target.
I love adding a swig of garland to the table because it makes for an instant centerpiece. This garland is so pretty with three different types of greenery, pinecones and red berries. It’s gorgeous in person, and looks even better than on the website.
I wasn’t sure if I would need to ‘fatten’ it up, so I bought some additional pine branches to stick in there. The garland didn’t really need it, but I like the added dimension.
We love the glow of candles on the table and I found these gorgeous and really unique hurricane candle holders on Amazon. They come in three sizes with the glass vase, faux snow and greenery inside, you just provide the candles.
My baby brother is hosting our family for Christmas this year. He’s gotten really into and good at grilling and he’s smoking a brisket and making a turkey. We’ll all contribute to the sides and dessert.
I’m bringing baked beans, spinach & artichoke dip, and homemade chocolate covered toffee. I like to just pour the toffee onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper now and then top with the chocolate. You can then just break it into small pieces. It’s soooo good!

We have a tree in (nearly) every room of our house! You can see our full Christmas house tour here. Jordan loves this tree because it has a step on controller for the lights and they can change colors and blink. I got it at Home Depot years ago.
The candle centerpiece I showed y’all on my Tuesday Goodies decorates the buffet. I think this piece is so pretty- it had sold out, but I saw that it’s been restocked in limited quantities.
The electric lighter is a new to me gadget and I’m smitten! We are a big candle family over here and this one is so easy to use.
In this little corner, I brought in the table that is normally in our living room and I like how she looks with our wall tile letters. Thank you Jamie!

I hope you liked this peek into our holiday table. If you need more inspiration for you own Christmas dining room, I put together two collages with different styles.
I took inspiration from two dining rooms I saw at Pottery Barn, but sourced all of these things from Amazon, proving you really can get the look for less.
Which style do you prefer?? Classic or Rustic?

I am LOVING your Christmas table!!!! It’s so simple yet elegant…just gorgeous!!! I am loving that plaid this year…my nails are even plaid right now 🙂 Now if only I could find myself a shirt in that white Christmas plaid. LOL!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful dining room!!!!
No way! How did they do plaid nails?! That’s so fun!!
Tables-cape is beautiful!
Quick question: A long time ago, did you mention that you had a table pad? Or am I having a Senior moment? 🙂 Do you have one on your new table and if so, where did you get it?
I really like that round table in your Dining Room, you may have to keep it there!
Hi Alice! I don’t have a table pad, and I have senior moments all day long! 😉
What a beautiful dining room! I asked a while ago about your curtain fabric when you did your dining room reveal. I was wondering if you’ve gotten the information yet? I would love to do my bedroom curtains in that fabric 🙂 Thank you!
