Hi friends! How’s your week going? We are still waiting to see if/when school will start in the Fall, but our fingers are crossed for a safe return. The other day, I asked my 10 year-old son James if he wanted me to homeschool him this year and his eyes about fell out of his head. I guess he would rather go to regular school!
Jordan LOVED getting to see her friends and teacher everyday when she was in preschool and not being able to play with her friends or go to the playground has been the hardest part of these last few months for her.
Regardless of whether we are homeschooling or sending our littles out the door, Walmart has you covered with what they’re going to wear! Both of my kids are growing like weeks and I swear James will be taller than me in no time! Jordan has already went up two shoe sizes since last school year!
When I was asked to share Walmart’s back to school styles, I let my kiddos shop their site online and pick out the things they liked most. Being able to order online without having to bring them into the store was super convenient, especially right now.
I was surprised with some of James’ picks and I have to say, Jordan’s Minnie Mouse Sneakers turned out even better in person! Wait ’til you see how cute these two are! I was able to purchase all of these items at a steal because Walmart always has such reasonable prices and great value!
Back to School Styles for Kids
Jordan went CRAZY for these Minnie Mouse Sneakers and had to wear them right away! The style is adorable and the velcro closure means she can get them on and off my herself since. I’m happy with the durability and quality.
I was surprised when James picked out this Athletic Set – he said it was “dope”! He said it’s the perfect gaming outfit and wanted me to take pictures of him in his room! The set comes with the jacket, pants and red tee. He’s literally already been wearing it everyday inside!
James “had to have” this Nike backpack, but I will say, it’s great quality and super stylish. His backpack must be a workhorse because he carries so many heavy books- although, this year, if they go back to school, the 5th grades get lockers! That’s something all the kids look forward to when they graduate from 4th to 5th grade.

Another item he chose was this red puffer jacket. He’s super into red if you can’t tell. 😉 It’s way too hot to wear it now, but I do like to buy the kids winter jackets in the Summer because Houston will have a random freezing cold day and I like to be prepared for it- before everything is sold out! This one is water resistant and packable with a zip front and hoodie.
Jordan’s cruising around town in her little convertible and I’m looking forward to the day I can send her to pick up groceries for me! Ha!
The inspire tee is too cute! She loves the criss-cross back! It came in the set with the shorts and tank in the first pic!
And last but not least!
I literally cannot get enough of this girl! How adorable is she in this little uniform pleated jumper?! My kids normally wear a uniform to school and Walmart has a great uniform shop. This one comes in navy as pictured and also khaki.

My Grandma Nola’s favorite place to go was WalMart and I still have the fondest memories of us shopping there together! I love how you can get everything you need at one-stop. Have you made any decisions regarding school yet? How are your kids feeling about it? One thing I know is that we’ve come this far, we can get through anything!
Have a great day friends!
