April Loves & I’m Giving Them Away to You!

Hello friends! Welcome to a brand new week!  How was your weekend?  We took it really slow and it was lovely.  Over the past few weeks, I’ve been decluttering and cleaning places in our home that haven’t gotten much attention.  It’s been so nice to spruce up the backyard, wipe down the table and chairs, clean up the grill, spray down the patio and watch the Star Jasmine bloom along the back fence.

We had several days of really nice weather, so we colored Easter eggs outside.  It was definitely fun to wake up on Easter morning and have Jordan come running into my room so excited to see the eggs lining the hallway!  She was GIDDY!  These are some of the things I love most about age 4.

I had planned that we’d all get dressed up in nice clothes on Sunday for at-home church, but alas, we watched in the comfort of our jammies and that’s okay too!

I must say, although we are all distanced right now, I felt so unified yesterday.  It literally brought me to tears.  I hope you had a wonderful day!

Pajama Set • Not only are these pajamas the softest set around, they are made in a factory that supports women worker empowerment through HERproject, which creates partnerships to enable workplace-based interventions on health, financial inclusion, and gender equality! How amazing is that?! I also love the lightweight jersey knit feel of these and the piping details dresses them up just a bit.   Under $50 and fit TTS.

Sports Bra • It was a slow start, but I’ve upped my at-home workout routine lately and I feel so much better.  Anyone else?  This Under Armor sports bra is the one I wear most often, unless I’m running.  It fits like a second skin, is supportive, and wicks away sweat quickly leaving you feeling dry during your workouts.  I also like the simple shape and skinnier racerback.  It also comes in several different colors to coordinate with any of your workout gear.  I’m 34D and wear size Medium. 25% off sitewide, code : WFH25

Candle • One of my favorite traditions at night and in the early morning is to light a candle.  I light a candle as soon as come downstairs after putting Jordan to bed in the evening and while I tidy the living room.  When I go to finally sit down at the end of the day, it feels that much more soothing.  I also enjoy lighting a candle early in the morning or right before I sit down at my desk to begin working.

Anthropologie makes some of the best candles and one of their most popular scents is the Capri Blue Volcano.  I was the recipient of this big baby at our first Favorite Things Party and I’ve been hooked ever since.  It’s one of the only candles that I buy on repeat and have given many times as gifts.  It’s hard to describe the scent, but it’s FRESH – with tropical fruits, sugared oranges, lemons and limes, redolent with lightly exotic mountain greens.

Dry Shampoo • This is one of your beauty Must Haves and y’all have been encouraging me to try it.  I finally bought a bottle really like it- and I’m picky about my dry shampoo!  I usually go about four days between washes and this helps with the in between times.  It helps give my hair volume and the powder feel absorbs the oils and odors. And it smells great!  I’ve been experimenting with applying it before bed and that’s been working well.

Slippers • Flip Flop Slippers? Ummmm Yes, please! These are a staple for the summer months. I always wear slippers at home because I don’t like walking barefoot on my hardwood floors, but I need a lighter pair since I’m still in my UGGs.  These will keep your feet comfy, while not overheating in a traditional slipper. They also have a skid resistant bottom so you don’t have to worry about slipping and sliding on your floors. Under $40

Slide Sandals • I couldn’t do a LOVES post without including my latest shoe obsession. These criss cross slides are darling, I’ve been wearing them nonstop.  I had the traditional straight slide last year and wore the heck out of them!  They have a platform sole and a sporty chic vibe, while being incredibly comfortable and supportive.  I got them in the natural buff color, but they also come in white and black.  On sale, under $60

Younger Next Year Book • I’ve mentioned this book a few times already, but it’s truly so good and I think we could all benefit from reading it.  In fact, I want to reread it! The truth is that most of us will live into our mid 80s or 90s, but HOW we live those years is largely in our control.  We can be vibrant and strong and in good shape with clear heads and (guess what?) sexually active!, or be shuffling around on walkers, depressed and fatigued.

This book lays out exactly what we need to be doing to enter these next decades with vitality and energy, and gives you the science to back it up.  It’s easy to digest and there’s a good bit of humor in there too.  I always got a kick when they’d refer to “old Fred”!

Coin Necklace • If you’ve been following my Stories, you’ve probably already noticed this coin pendant necklace I’ve been wearing. It’s 18K gold and comes in a 19 1/2inch length- but you can adjust it!  #genius It’s perfect alone or you can layer with your favorite choker style necklace. The coin design is two palms.  25% off

SuperGoop Unseen Sunscreen  • This is the sunscreen I’ve been wearing (you saw it in my skincare routine), especially since we’ve been going outside so much lately.  Daily bike rides have become one of our favorite things to do as a family.  Surprisingly, Jordan is so fast!  Little speed demon, I swear!  But anyway, I don’t want to age my skin any more than it already is, and I know sun is the main culprit of hyperpigmentation, so I wear this sunscreen with SPF 40.

Honestly, I’ve never worn a sunscreen that feels like this- it’s a very lightweight gel consistency that goes on invisibly.  It’s also weightless and scentless and formulated with antioxidants that prep your skin for makeup.   It has a velvety finish that doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or shiny.  And it provides broad-spectrum protection and protection from blue light, too.

Did any of my Loves top your list?  What things are you loving this month!  Don’t forget to subscribe for a chance to win them all!   If you are already subscribed, you are automatically entered to win!

Now go kick Monday’s booty!
