Thank you to Nordstrom and ShopStyle for sponsoring today’s post.
Right about this time of year, I start craving some warmth and sunshine. It’s been cold and dreary for long enough, I had to put the heater on yesterday! Last week, I got a spray tan and it felt so good! My body misses getting some sun on its skin!
Hopefully soon, it’ll be time to to trade out our sweaters and boots for dresses and sandals. If you’re like me or making plans for Spring Break and have warm weather styles on the brain, today’s post is for you!
I’m happy to be partnering with Nordstrom to bring you seven darling new Spring styles. Nordstrom is always a go-to for one stop shopping and I love how easy their website is to navigate with big, bright photos. You can always easily browse their New Arrivals to see what’s new for the season.
For Size Reference: I’m a shorty (5’1) and petite, weighing about 110. I typically wear size 0p/25 jeans, XS or XSP in tops and dresses.
When this dress arrived from Nordstrom and I was trying it on at home, my son James walked in and said, “That’s the most beautiful dress he’s ever seen me in. You should wear that to your next party.” The special thing is, he’s only 9 years old.
But, I have to agree. This maxi dress sure does make a statement with it’s bold orange/red hue and wild flower print. It’s light as a feather with gorgeous detailing. The waist is rushed and cinched to accentuate your smallest part and the high low hem shows some leg!
I wore it with a pair of clear heels to keep the attention on the dress and not get distracted by the shoes. Acrylic heels are perfect for that, but nude shoes create the same effect.
Dress Fit : I’m wearing a 2P
Next up are several pieces from the latest Gibson x Hi Sugarplum collection. This new resort collection is available online only and there are no restocks planned, so be sure to grab your favorites before they sell out! It’s full of fun, vibrant pieces in fabrics that feel amazing on your skin and pack well!
If you’re looking for a more casual maxi dress than the style above, this one is easy to wear and the fabric is so super soft. The cut is really flattering and I love that it has pockets.
Dress Fit : I’m wearing an XSP. Although I’m wearing petite, it was still long on me and would need a hem.
The awesome thing about this outfit is that it’s separate pieces that you can mix and match. I have to rave about the bodysuit! It feels amazing on and is a full bottom that stays put all day and snaps underneath for easy access to the bathroom! 😉 You can also wear your regular bra with it and it won’t show.
The midi skirt is soft and flowy with an elastic drawstring waist. It’s a slimming fit and not pockets mean no extra bulk at the sides.
Midi Skirt Fit : I’m wearing XXSP
Bodysuit Fit : I’m wearing XSP
A tank and jeans is one of my go-to ‘night out’ outfits when the weather heats up. But, it’s even better when it’s a bodysuit that stays neatly tucked into your jeans. I particularly like it with these flare jeans because it shows off the silhouette of the jeans perfectly.
You could also dress up your bodysuit for a night out with a skirt like this leopard midi skirt!
Skirt Fit : I’m wearing a 2 (fits like 0)
The denim skirt is back and better than ever! This one is so cool because the cut is great (not too long and not too short) and easy to dress up with a blouse or down with a tee and sneaks. I particularly like the pretty blue wash and where the pockets sit on the sides and in the back – very flattering.
Skirt Fit : I’m wearing XXSP
How fun is this romper?! It’s a lovely sleeveless style with a ruffled mock neck, drawstring waist and pockets. It’s great that it’s not too short, so you won’t feel exposed or inappropriate in it. It also has a fun long tie at the neck.
Romper Fit : I’m wearing size XXPS and it runs large.
The New Spring/Summer Sandal
Y’all know I’m crazy for these wedge sandals- they are in my January Loves that I’m giving away! Go here to enter to win! I like the style and how comfortable they are, plus this tan color will go with nearly everything in your closet.
Even ‘Flip Flops Guy’ would approve;) ha!

I hope this post is giving you some fun Spring vibes! Do you agree with James’ assessment on that first dress? Are you loving the new Gibson x Hi Sugarplum resort collection? I’d love to hear which pieces are your fave.
Thank you again to Nordstrom for partnering with me on this post. Nordstrom was the first ever department store I stepped foot inside when my Aunt took me there to shop for some things for herself. I’ll never forget being so impressed with all the ladies in the store and the awesome styles. I feel so blessed to get to work with them now.
And shopping at Nordstrom is always convenient. I often buy online and pick up in store or opt for the FREE shipping and free returns.
I also want to give a special shout out to my dear friend and talented photographer, Tisha Carlson. She is not only an amazing, supportive friend, but she’s so fun to hang out with and shoot photos with. On this day in particular, we were fighting drizzling rain and humidity, but she always makes it work! Love you friend!
Have a fantastic day!
