Our Holiday Home | Christmas Trees

Thank you to Nordstrom and ShopStyle for sponsoring today’s post.

Hi friends!  How’s your week going?  I seriously cannot believe that we’re in the last month of the year!  And Christmas is just 22 days away!  Our Elf “Buddy” arrived on Sunday and Jordan is crazy for him!  And I’m not above reminding her he’s watching and giving Santa a full report every night! 😉

I’m so glad I started decorating for Christmas in November because it always takes me forever to get everything done.  Here’s a look at the Christmas trees we have up in our house (yes “trees!” because I’m a crazy Christmas tree lady!), with a few winter outfits mixed in!

Everything I’m wearing is from Nordstrom, a trusted destination for stylish outfits and unbeatable customer service.  They have tons of holiday gifts, including a specific “For Her” category, and different price points.  “Under $25” has some great stocking stuffer ideas.  As always, shipping and returns are easy and FREE!

FRONT PORCH

Welcome to our holiday home!  Our front porch is simple and sweet with a double set of natural looking wreaths, a Christmas tree and adorable door mat.

We’ve had that Christmas tree for several years now and I think keeping it in the attic might have caused the flocking to yellow some.  But, I wasn’t ready to part with it, so I just put it outside this year! You can see it in Jordan’s nursery heref and in my room last year.

If you come over, I’ll happily offer you a cup of tea or coffee.  I love to sit and chat over a warm drink!

This time of year, I’m also all about a white sweater.  It definitely brightens up your outfit and looks so fresh, hence the fondness for “winter white”.

This style sweater has dolman sleeves, a horizontal ribbed texture and boat neck.  It’s on the shorter side, but still long enough for me to do a mini front tuck.

The jeans are one of my go-tos from Kut from the Kloth.  They fit just right, with a mid-tone blue and raw edge hem.

If you don’t have a pair of leopard print booties (40% off) in your closet yet, go for it!  I’ve grown more fond of mine the longer I’ve had them.  They look great with black jeans, slacks and also skirts and dresses.

For a longer white sweater option, try this cozy number.  I’ve already worn it several times – including to the Nutcracker Market with my mom.

It’s nice and fluffy with a teddy bear texture and v-neck.  And currently 35% off!

It’s not often that I get an opportunity to wear my over the knee boots, but I love the style.  I feel so cool in them! Do you own a pair?

This particular style is nice and slimming with a comfortable, stretchy back and leg lengthening pointy toe.  The heel is slightly chunky, so they’re easy to walk in.  If my pair is sold out in your size, this pair is very similar and under $100.

OUR MAIN CHRISTMAS TREE

This part of our home where the curved staircase is, is the perfect spot for our Christmas tree.  I love that you can see if from nearly every angle of our downstairs and we all enjoy it.

This year, we have a 10 flocked tree by King of Christmas and I absolutely adore it!  It’s white and bright and sparkly, adorned with metallic and white glittery ornaments.

Ruched DressHeels

Y’all can’t go wrong with this little black ruched dress!  This has been a staple in my closet for many years and it’s still going strong.  If I’m ever having trouble deciding what to wear for a night out, I can always count on this dress to be a stunner!

It’s under $50 and comes in several colors.

Dress Fit : I’m wearing size XS and even wore it pregnant- the ruching accommodates a belly!

One of the things I like best about this dress is how versatile it is.  You can wear it with a cardigan, tights, booties, heels, or dress it down with sneaks and a jean jacket.

MASTER BEDROOM

For the last several years, I’ve put a Christmas tree in my bedroom too.  It’s especially beautiful at night when the lights are on and you get that soothing, warm glow.

This year, I chose a 6-foot tall, slim flocked tree that I kept ultra feminine with pink ornaments, sparkly floral picks and pink plaid ribbon.  The tree skirt is a little faux fur rug, which goes to show that there are no rules when it comes decor.  Just go with what you like!

I’m wearing a cozy tan and pink sweater that’s extra special with a bit of faux fur.  Isn’t that a fun touch?!

The white jeans are one of my favorite pairs.  They’re totally opaque, nice and thick, with a bit of distressing. These go in and out of stock (and on sale) quite a bit, so check back if they run out.

JAMES ROOM

Did you know our Christmas trees play musical rooms?  The gold tree that’s currently in James’ room was in Jordan’s room last year.  And in my office the year before that.  He has lots of special ornaments he likes to put on it and we always have fun pulling them out every year.

MINI TREE

I’m really smitten with the tree I found for Jordan’s playroom.  The petite size is kid friendly and the style is perfect for showing off her darling unique ornaments.  We just hadn’t gotten them up yet!

Pajamas

I went crazy for these soft jammies you saw in my latest Style a Friend post.  They are so warm and cozy and I love the fair isle design and baseball style sleeves.

Is your home looking holiday ready?  I still haven’t put up the Christmas tree in our dining room since it was decorated for Thanksgiving until last weekend.  While I truly enjoy these trees so much and sitting back and admiring them once they’re all decorated and lit, it’s a big job to put them all up!  #amiright?!

If I get a burst of energy this weekend, I might get to the dining room.  Or, I might just be lounging in these pj’s browsing Nordstrom online and seeing what other goodies I can find!  Either way, you know I’ll be sure to keep you posted!

Have a great day friends!
