Cute Fall Styles that Won’t Break the Bank

OUTFIT #1
SKINNY JEANS • Let’s start with the jeans since they are such a wardrobe staple this time of year. These jeans are by Levi’s – the 711 Skinny Ankle Jean in ‘maui indigo’. They are a comfy midrise with a good amount of stretch and a raw edge, released hem. I wear my jeans a ton before washing them, but I’ve had the opportunity to machine wash and dry this pair and I like them even better now!

LEOPARD SWEATER • We all know how hot the animal print trend is right now, but I love to see it in unexpected ways, like this mix of grey and pink. Isn’t it such a pretty color combo?!

BOOTIES • Okay, let’s talk about these fierce booties! I felt like I hit the jackpot with this pair. It can be hard to know what you’ll get when you order shoes online, but this pair is a great quality and really comfortable. They are super stylish with a pointy toe and stiletto heel and a mixed faux leather front and suede heel. I’m also crazy for this shade of brown and how they go with everything. But, they also come in black, white and snake.

OFF SHOULDER SWEATER • I liked this sweater when I saw it online, but it’s even better in person! The off shoulder style is especially sassy, but the material is nice and soft, so it feels kinda cuddly too. I was concerned that the white might be sheer, but thankfully, it’s not.

LEGGINGS • This time of year often brings really good news: it’s time to bust out the leggings. 😉 . I wanted to try a pair of leggings from JCPenney and I searched and read tons of reviews and landed on this pair with nearly 500 positive reviews. They are a comfortable mid-rise jersey knit, totally opaque and just the right thickness- not to heavy and not too light.
They have an elastic waistband and are super easy to pull on and off. They come in 6 colors and I couldn’t believe the price – only $9! I think that’s the least expensive pair of leggings I’ve found!

SWEATER • When you’re ready for leggings, you start looking for tops that are long enough to wear with them! I found this cable knit sweater that has a great hi/low hem, so it’s even longer in the back. It comes in several colors (even a stripe), I’m wearing “pecan pie” – so appropriate for Thanksgiving next month!

KNEE HIGH BOOTS • I looked and looked for a low heeled knee high boot that would be comfortable all day long, but still look good. This pair by Liz Claiborne totally fit the bill. It has just enough heel for some height, but not too high, a rounded toe and side zip. You can wear these all day long and your feet will thank you.

SWEATER : Bring on Fall and Winter! I’m so crazy for this outfit and the loose cowl neck sweater. It’s got a relaxed, dolman style 3/4 sleeve and can even be machine washed.

Of course I’m partial to this cream sweater with the black flecks, but it also comes in a rich brown.
Can you guess what my favorite Starbuck’s drink is this time of year? Don’t stone me, but I’m not a fan of pumpkin spice. When it gets chilly out, I love to order a tall nonfat mocha with light whip. Or a white mocha. They are sooo yummy! Definitely an indulgence I appreciate this time of year.

This sweater is also nice and long in the back. It makes me want to head to a football game and wear this exact outfit!
Here’s a better look at the comfy boots. I’m so happy with my boot order this time! And I can’t wait to share what I just ordered for my next post in November!
And you know what? We are FINALLY celebrating the arrival of cooler temps that look like they’re here to stay. It always takes Houston forever to cool off, but once it does, we’re so grateful!
