Just (the best) Sales

Hello friends!  It’s a BIG day over here!  It’s the first day of school!  I thought I was ready, but last night I started feeling so super sad.  It feels like such a major milestone in our lives with Jordan starting preschool.  I’ve been home with her since she was born and I’m so gonna miss her infectious and bold personality.

I know that when you’re feeling something, you gotta let it out or it will suffocate you.   After the kids went to bed, and I climbed into mine, I balled big fat hot tears.  I just started sobbing in that ugly cry kind of way.  Snot running down my face and no kleenex in sight!  I know y’all get it.

And after, I felt a bit of relief at having exhaled.  I’ve been unconsciously holding my breath these last couple of weeks, anxiously waiting for this day.

And yet, despite the heartache, there’s another part of my mama heart that is excited for her and proud and filled with anticipation about this new adventure in her life.  I cannot wait to pick her and James up from school and hear all about their day!
