July Loves

Good morning friends!  I hope your week is going wonderfully!  We has such a good time on our weekend trip to Galveston and definitely could’ve stayed a few more days.  I’ll do a detailed recap on my blog soon, but in the meantime, I shared quite a bit on Stories and saved it to a Highlight in case you’re interested or plan on going soon.

When we got home, it was all about unpacking and laundry and cleaning house and eating and Jordan’s nap and I finally got in a good jog at the park.  I needed it after eating all.the.food while we were away!  It’s 11:07 pm now (on Monday) and I’m just finishing up this post – the first one I’ve ever done without a collage.  Please forgive me, I have to get some sleep!

JULY LOVES

Today, it’s time for a new Monthly Loves. If you’re new to Loves, it’s where I share things I’m loving each month, with the aim to highlight fabulous things I swear by, some things I want to try, great deals, and under $50 finds!  All perfectly appropriate for the flavor of each month!  I love sourcing goodies and sharing them with you!

Crochet Swimsuit

Y’all know I’ve been smitten with this swimsuit for years and it just keeps getting better and better with slight updates each year.  I have the basic black suit and olive halter style, and recently bought the blue one.  I must say, the blue has quickly become my fave!   I love how the brighter blue lining peeks through the darker crochet part. Bonus : it’s on sale 25% off!

I’m wearing an XS in blue, but the black one I have is a Small.

Black Jumpsuit

Y’all just saw this jumpsuit in my NYC recap post, but I’m calling it a love because it’s so comfy and versatile.  Obviously, it’s great for traveling in, but also running errands, lounging at home, working in your home office, or even dressing up with heels and accessories for a girls’ lunch.  I just ordered the stripe version too. 😉

Victoria Emerson Bracelets

I’m obsessed with these wrap bracelets.  I started with this one that wraps around your wrist three times.  Then, I liked it so much that I bought several of the 5-wrap styles.  They are lightweight and perfect year-round, but especially in summer.

Clearly, I gravitate to the neutrals, but I also LOVE the Turquoise & Shell on Natural

Miller Dupe Sandals

I did a whole review post about the Tory Burch Miller Sandals and I do love mine- the only downside is the price.  I bought this similar style sandal by Sam Edelman and really like them! The patent is perfect for the pool or beach because you can just spray the sand off of them.  They fit TTS.

And, they’re 40% off!

Strapless Bra

Lots of summer styles require a strapless or backless bra.  Don’t worry- I’ve got you covered – or rather, held up!  This strapless bra is so comfortable that I’ve been known to opt for it even when it wasn’t necessary!  This is the same one I’ve been wearing for years and it still works like brand new.  It has gripper strips inside the top and bottom edges to keep it secure and back and side boning for extra reinforcement.

I’m a 34D and wear my true size.  I love that it comfortably keeps the girls up all day without any fidgeting!

Backless Bra

Now, if you have an amazing dress or top that is open in the back and you’re thinking, well dang, I guess I won’t be able to wear that- think again!  I tried several backless bras and this one has worked really well for me.  It’s got sticky sides that adhere to your sides so that your back is braless.

I find this bra works best if your dress/top is more fitted AND you’re not sweating!  That’s key because the sweat makes the adhesive lose it’s stickiness.  Gotta head straight into the AC with this one!

Good Vibes Tee

The Amazon graphic tee game is strong this season!  Of course you can’t go wrong with the Good Vibes tank, but the Be A Nice Human TankSun Kissed Tank are also calling my name this summer!

Air Fryer

Yall! I finally got my air fryer that I mentioned in my Mother’s Day Loves post and I do LOVE it! 😉 It’s awesome because it lets you cook your food with little to no oil so that it’s healthier for you.  It also cooks things super fast!  This one from Amazon has over 2,100 positive reviews and comes in four colors.

My two favorite things I’ve made in it are:

Shrimp – I buy the frozen, peeled, deveined and tail off shrimp and let it thaw.  Then, pat dry.  Toss shrimp with juice of 1/2 juice of a lemon.  Evenly place shrimp on the bottom on the air fryer pan.  Air fry at 350 degrees for 4 minutes.  Then turn the shrimp and continue cooking for another 4 minutes.

I eat these shrimp plain, dipped in tartar sauce or add them to pasta or shake in honey/garlic sauce and eat with rice and broccoli.  They come out much crisper than when I sauté them in on the stove top.

*I’ve cooked Cod the same way, just increasing the time to about 15 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Sweet Potato Fries – Jordan loves these too.  Cut your sweet potato lenthwise into ‘fry’ slices.  I spray mine with olive oil spray for extra crispiness and so the salt & pepper sticks to them better.  Season to taste. Place them in the air fryer with enough air flow (the one downside of the air fryer is that the pan isn’t very big, so depending on your crowd, you might need double batches).

Air fry at 400 degrees for 8 minutes, flipping halfway through.

  1. Those Sam Edelman sandals are adorable! I love the Miller but you’re right, the price is a downside. Cute outfits!
