Hi friends! Isn’t it crazy how January lasted for.ev.er and now February is flying by?! We’ll be celebrating Jordan’s third birthday before we know it and the my own birthday is two days later! Throw in Valentine’s day and James’ current baseball/basketball schedule overlap and it makes for a very full month!
Today, I’m focusing on finding some cute things to wear as we hopefully start to transition into Spring soon. But, we’re waking up to temps in the 40s, so looks like it’s gonna be sweaters and boots for awhile longer!
For Size Reference: I’m a shorty (5’1) and petite, athletic build (bigger legs), weighing about 110 and wear a 34D bra. I typically wear size 0p/25 jeans, XSP in tops and dresses.
Okay, now onto the fun stuff!
Up first is the coziest of the cozy, fleecey kind of top you put on as soon as you get home from work to relax in, then fall asleep in and proceed to wear all weekend. THAT kind of cozy! It’s got a high/low hem, with 3/4 sleeves and a little extra flowiness with a pleat back hem. I like the purple hue, but it also comes in 4 other colors. Did I mention it’s 50% off?!
I’m wearing size XS.
You’ve seen these light wash ripped knee jeans before in my January Loves and I’ve been digging them ever since. The higher rise is comfortable without the waist gaping and the big knee holes are cute and casual. I cut about 3 inches off the length with sharp scissors and threw them in the wash. I sized up in these (26), but then went back and ordered my normal size (25) and both work! The bigger size I now wear on my ‘bloaty’ days or when I want a looser fit.
This top is that buttery soft material we all love and it has a good bit of stretch to it. It comes in this crew neck style and also a v-neck style below. I’m wearing size XS.
Isn’t this pink color pretty and I like how the v-neck is more open. And, it happens to be 50% off! I’m wearing size XS.
This pink tee was a happy find! I’ve been wearing this style/brand tee for years, but only had it in neutrals. The pink is so pretty for Spring and I also got the aqua. The tee is a must-have basic with a scoop neck and small front pocket in a soft cotton blend. They’re $25 and you can machine wash them. I’m wearing size XS.
Here it is again in the teal. Which one do you like better?
These black jeans are so slimming! They fit all the way down to my ankles or I can fold them up if I want to show some ankle skin with booties. This Wit & Wisdom brand is designed with a comfortable ‘Ab-solution’ powermesh panel to “mold and hold, a waistband with interior control and booty-lift construction.” #youhadmeatbootylift
I found them to fit TTS, I’m wearing 0P.
Black jeans always make a great night out look, and I like them with a simple tank. This one has a flowy, flattering shape and a lace detail underlay that show along the bottom. It’s on sale for $29, normally $89. All you need to add is a statement or long pendant necklace.
I have to mention these black pumps too! I found them last year at Ann Taylor and they quickly became the chicest pair of pumps in my closet. They are stunning in person with a sassy stiletto heel, pointy toe and are actually don’t hurt my feet. They’re 40% off now, so take advantage of that! I’m wearing size XS.
If you’ve got Valentine’s Day plans, this top would be a good choice! It’s that same super soft material you saw above in the stripes and pink top, but with a sexy faux wrap style. The middle snaps closed so it’s not too revealing. I’m wearing size XS.
I wish this top had a front closure too because it’s so flattering on with the balloon 3/4 sleeve and peplum-ish style. It’s kind of hard to tell from the photo, but the side has buttons that give it a little something extra. Just know you’ll probably need to wear a cami under this one. I’m wearing size XS.
I popped into Madewell and my favorite thing in there was this “baby” tee. It’s a nice, thick material, on the shorter side, but still long enough for me to tuck in. It’s got an open scoop neck but the petite scallop detail keeps it sweet.
I’m wearing size XS.
If you’re like me, you feel most comfortable in a long sleeve knit tee this time of year. I like everything about this one – the maroon/white stripes, button detail, open scoop neck and shirttail hem. I’m wearing size XSP.
The next few outfits have these distressed skinny jeans, which I’m pretty sure I showed you before, but they’re so good I wanted to point them out again! I really like the slimming shape, distressing in all the right places and the darker wash with slight whiskering. They’re from Loft so watch for them to go on sale!
The sweater is still going strong! Did you pick it up when I first showed it in January Loves?! I’m wearing size XS.
For those of us, still a ways from Spring weather, I found a few cute sweaters to get excited about!
The first two are striped goodness with this one being more on the lightweight side with side slits. I’m wearing size XSP.
This navy and white sweater is thicker, and will keep you warmer. I like the shirttail hem and contrast neckline. I’m wearing size XSP.
If pink is on your list of favorite colors, this pale pink is probably calling your name. It’s a tunic style, but on the thinner side, so don’t wear a lumpy bra underneath. I’m wearing size XSP.
This sweater almost needs a cami, but it’s not required. The lilac is a beautiful shade and the red was a stunner. I’m wearing size XS.
I’m not sure why, but this sweater almost feel collegiate to me. Maybe something about the stripe on the v-neck with the yellow, white and navy combo. It’s crop length, but not belly baring. I’m wearing size XS.
Moving into sweatshirts and pullovers, I like all of these for the weekend! I could see myself in this contrast sleeve sweatshirt well into Spring with jean shorts. It also looks cute with a collared button down underneath for a preppy look. I’m wearing size XS.
This is like your favorite sporty hoodie, but instead of a typical sweatshirt material, it’s a comfy lightweight blend. I’m wearing XS, but luckily it comes in XXS too.
Yes ma’am! The classic Gibson cozy soft pullover has been restocked and in several colors. If you don’t have this already, get it and thank me later. You’ll wear it so much – over a bralette or button down, or even with your pajama bottoms! I’m wearing size XS.
Isn’t this a sweet scallop cami?! I like these alone with jeans for date night or under a cardigan or blazer. They even look great with cotton shorts in the summer. I’m wearing size XSP.
If you work in an office, chances are you’re always looking for cute and comfy pants. These are a hit! They are the ‘Marisa’ pant at Loft, known for their tailored, mid-rise fit. I love the charcoal grey color and tie waist. But, you can always remove that tie and add your own belt. I’m wearing size 0P.
How about red for the month of love?! I don’t know why I always shy away from this color, as soon as I put it on, I feel more vibrant! Kinda like red lips;) This top is linen with a rayon contrasting hem for added interest. I’m wearing size XS.
Last but not least, I have a work dress, work to weekend dress, and finally a night out dress to share.
You’ll look smart in this tweed sheath dress at work. While it’s still cold out, wear your black tights and booties and throw on your leather jacket. Then, in the Spring, you can trade in the booties for pumps! I’m wearing size 00P.
A wrap dress is universally flattering and I really like it in this black and white print. IIt will transition perfectly from the office to dinner after. I’m wearing size 0P.
Finally, if you have an event, hot date, or party coming up, I’d definitely recommend this lace dress. It’s fully lined and the detail is exquisite! The long sleeves still keep you warmer and covered, but the hem line and style is flirty. It’s really well made and a head turner for sure! I’m wearing size US4.
