Just the best (After Christmas) Sales

What a wonderful Christmas we were blessed to have!  We spent Christmas Eve at my sis-n-law’s lively house with a fierce Battle Christmas Cookie competition, followed by a slow/early Christmas morning at home unwrapping gifts and playing with toys, and then a fun evening at my brother’s house for Christmas dinner.

I took lots of pics that are still sitting on my memory card, so I’ll share those with you later in the week.  I think both James and Jordan really enjoyed Christmas this year.  James likes getting gifts (of course), but also understands the reason we celebrate.  It’s sweet to see him recognize and honor the meaning of Christmas.

After getting tired kids to bed, I got cozy on the couch with a cup of hot cocoa and hopped online to scour the after Christmas sales (my fave!) for ya!  I love that time of night when the house is quiet and peaceful, the candles are burning, and I’m wrapped up in a cuddly throw.  It’s the perfect ending to a day we’ve spent weeks preparing for.

I hope your Christmas was filled with love and joy and lots of laughs.  Ours definitely was . . . along with a few toddler meltdowns, a Christmas gift that didn’t arrive, and a couple toys that got broken before noon.  Isn’t it awesome how amazingly imperfect our perfect days can be?! 😉  It’s all part of this beautiful, messy life we get to live!

I scored this faux snow years ago during an after-Christmas sale and still use it every year!  It looks gorgeous and has help up so well!

I really want to get these velvet stockings and put all of our names on them for next year!  They’re half off!
