AUGUST LOVES

Good morning friend! I hope you had a great weekend. I’m coming to you from the sunny land of LA today and it’s so nice to get a brief respite from the Houston humidity. We actually sat outside for dinner last night without sweating through our clothes.  😉

Before I hop into my August favorites…

Now that August is upon us, it’s time for another Monthly Loves with my August favorites! I love sourcing goodies and putting these collages together for you!

If you’re new to Loves, it’s where I share things I’m loving each month, with the aim to highlight fabulous things I swear by, some things I might want to try, great deals, and under $50 finds! All perfectly appropriate for the flavor of each month!

ACCESSORIES

Leith Suede Clutch • I finally got my hands on this gorgeous suede clutch with a tassel accent after it sold out in a hot minute last year! I scooped it up as soon as I saw it restocked and it comes in a fun yellow and classic black too.  This tan neutral will go with everything though.

Halogen Hoop Earrings • I’ve been all about the thin hoop earrings lately.  I used to wear them all the time, then retired them when my kids were babies.  Now that my ears are safe from chubby grabby hands, I’m bringing them back!

CLOTHING

Topshop Tee • I love the sentiment behind this tee, “follow your heart”.  I like these graphic tees for throwing on with jean shorts or under a blazer with skinny jeans for a night out.

Honeydew Intimates Cozy Robe • Nothing like getting out of a nice shower and slipping into a robe.  Or sometimes, I throw my robe on over my pajamas in the morning.  I like this one because it’s cozy and lightweight, perfect for summer.

Treasure & Bond Racerback Tank • The everyday tanks I’ve been reaching for most lately are these and I like them so much I have it in three colors: black, white and grey.  They are racerback style with a raw hem that I trimmed a bit shorter because they come long.

BLANKNYC Suede Mini Skirt • I need this skirt in my life!  I think it will be so chic with a sweater and over the knee boots or tights and booties this Fall!

Becca Swimsuit • Y’all will not believe how good this swimsuit is for under $25!  It’s a dead ringer for the Becca swimsuit but it’s from Amazon.  I wore mine already and got lots of compliments on it!  It also comes in a sassy black!

BEAUTY

MAC Lip Liner • This MAC lipliner is one of my faves, and I found a new color I’m obsessed with- “whirl”.  It’s a perfect warm neutral to give your lips a bit of extra definition.

MAC Lipstick • I love MAC lipsticks because they are richly pigmented, last a long time, and don’t have any weird taste or smell.  This one is a creamy formula that isn’t drying on your lips.  Whirl is a great color year round, but especially as we start transitioning to Fall.

SHOES

Linea Paolo Wedge Sneakers •  If you missed out on the Caslon wedge sneakers before they sold out, I found a similar, very stylish pair for ya! They have a perforated upper and the grey is so pretty!

Now we’re off to the Gibson offices for a fitting and sneak peek of the pieces in the collection! Hope you enjoyed my August favorites!
