Hello friends! How’s your week going? It’s a busy one over here with a visit yesterday from the cutest mini blogger! I donated my time via auction for a girls’ school and the 13-year old winner spent the day with us yesterday. I couldn’t believe how mature 13 is these days! It happens so fast!
WORK • WEEKEND • WOW
Today we’re taking fashion, specifically, a sassy pair of red ankle pants! Have you ever wondered how to style red pants? Well, I’m styling them 3 different ways, (Wrap Top, Strappy Cami, and V-Neck Swing Blouse) to create three looks for work, weekend and a night out (wow)!
If you missed one, you can catch up on the previous Work • Weekend • Wow posts here:
• WORK •
First up, is our work option. I know it’s easy to fall into the same-black-pants-with-a-different-top routine, so these red pants will definitely up your work game. They are sleek and stylish enough for the office, but in a bold hue that will keep you out of the bored room. 😉
They’re chic and versatile – comfortable enough to run around in on the weekends and stylish enough for a night out. When I saw they come in seven colors, a new Work, Weekend, Wow post was born. The pants are super flattering and have pockets, plus there’s a cute slit at the ankle.
PANTS FIT : They come in regular and petite and I’m wearing 00P. They fit pretty true to size, but if you’re in between sizes, I’d size down.
If you’re wondering what to pair your new office-friendly red pants with, any neutral color like black, white, navy or tan will work, but you can also incorporate print and patterns. I found this black and white striped wrap top and loved how the red florals worked with the red pants.
TOP FIT : TTS, I’m wearing XXS and it fit fine, but I could have worn a regular XS for a more relaxed and longer fit.
Since it’s summer, I chose my black heeled sandals, but your closed toe pumps will also look polished with this outfit.
I haven’t pulled out this hobo bag in awhile, but I’m still crazy for the shape and style.
As versatile as the pants are, so is the top. I’ll be wearing it with jeans for a date night and you can also mix and match with white jeans or black slacks/skirt for work. I like the conservative shape, 3/4 sleeves and side tie.
• WEEKEND •
By switching out the wrap top for a camisole and trading the heels for flats to wear with your red pants, you have a totally different weekend look. This would be something cute to wear to lunch with your friends or out shopping with your Mom.
I found this camisole at Loft. If you need one or 10, you can always find good ones there in lots of different colors and patterns. I’m digging the warm hues in this fun medallion print.
It has a shirttail hem with spaghetti straps and a v-bar back. The good news is you can throw it into the washing machine and it will be fine!
CAMISOLE FIT: TTS, wearing XSP (my true size at Loft)
My Tory Burch Miller flats have come in handy for all sorts of outfits and this neutral “makeup” color goes with everything! They’re definitely an investment, but are really well made and last forever. Plus, they’re just so cute with the signature circle logo and very comfortable.
Tory Burch Miller Sandals FIT: These sandals run small, so you’ll want to size up half.

Let’s kick it up a notch for a fun night out look! I punched up the red pants with a bold pink swing tank and colorful accessories. It’s a statement, but it works!
I like the fit and style of this swing tank so much because you can wear it so many ways. It looks great dressed up like here, but also worn casually with shorts or jeans and also works as a layering piece under a cardigan. I like how flattering it is with the cut that falls nicely and skims your body.
It comes in 4 colors and is reasonably priced at under $30.
SWING TANK fit: TTS, I’m wearing XS. The tank looks short on the model, but I didn’t find it too short on me. It’s cut slightly higher in the front and falls a bit longer at the back.
Because there is so much color in the pants and top, I kept the shoes neutral to give the eye a rest. These are my go-to classic heeled sandals I wear all the time. They are a sexy stiletto that kind of disappears on your foot, while still giving you height.
Isn’t this colorful pom pom clutch fun?! It’s a good size for holding your necessities and really adds a playful charm to your outfit. I like the natural straw color, but it also comes in navy, turquoise, hot pink and black.
The pink agate and tassel “Megan” necklace goes great with this too! Isn’t it such a cool accessory? It also comes in a really pretty blue and teal.
You heard me raving about these sunnies in Monday’s post. They are an inexpensive dupe for my Ray-Bans, just as chic, but less than half the price!
I hope you enjoyed this latest Work • Weekend • Wow post and it’s inspired you to create new outfit combinations in your own wardrobe! Are you bold enough to brave the red pants?!
See you tomorrow with some fun Fourth of July looks!
