Happy weekend friends! I hope you have the best weekend chillin’ with your family and friends!  Shannon and I are kicking off the weekend with some super fun plans that involve my boyfriend, Justin Timberlake. He’s performing in Houston tonight and we were lucky to get tickets courtesy of Verizon Up!  Can’t stop the feelin . . . . . !!!!  Join us tonight on Stories for some behind the scenes peeks!

Then we’ll be heading to Lost Pines on Saturday for some family fun.  I’m definitely looking forward to relaxing in the sun with a big, fat piña colada! Who’s with me?!

This week was a busy one on the blog!  We kicked off Monday with a productive GSD, followed by a detailed jean shorts review from long to short, and don’t forget the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale is going on now!  There’s major discounts on Spring & Summer things, but they’re going fast, so don’t wait if you see something you have to have!

Last week, Ashley and I headed to Austin for a day trip and I wore this adorable blue and white embroidered, eyelet top.  The scallop shorts are easy to dress up or down since they’re a cotton blend that looks like linen, but doesn’t wrinkle as much.

It was a quick trip, so we only had time to stop for lunch and then head to an evening blogger party. This girl seriously cracks me up!  Never a dull moment with her! And seriously, #hairgoals

At the evening party in Austin, I wore my favorite little white dress.  We all have to have one of those in our closets, right?!  It’s the same one I wore to the blogger conference last month and I’m happy to bring in out over and over.  It’s fully lined and the perfect feminine dress for Spring and Summer soirees.

If you ever see me in front of this graffiti wall, you know I’m at Hughie’s getting my Vietnamese Iced Coffee fix!  Ali-Shaun got me hooked on it last year and it’s addicting!  It’ll definitely give you a mid-afternoon jolt!

These jean shorts are my new favorite pair from my Jean Short Review.  They’re extra soft and comfy with plenty of stretch.  And you can’t go wrong with white eyelet this time of year.

I also saw that these light blue ‘seltzer’ Tory Burch Miller sandals are 40% off now!  What a steal! I really like this blue and they add a soft pop of color to your outfit.  Sizes are very limited. #fingerscrossed

I’ve been thrilled to see several maxi dresses in petite sizes lately that require no alterations for us shorter gals!  Even better when it’s on sale 40% off!  It’s kind of hard to tell in the photo, but this dress is navy and white and comes in regular and petite.

I wore this comfortable soft blue maxi dress (the back is super cute!) to watch James perform as the Candyman in the Willy Wonka play at school.  My heart about burst with pride when he sang his solo in front of the audience.  He and all the other kids rehearsed for months and did great! And seriously, the teachers deserve an award for working so hard with them!

I know I’m biased, but ins’t he a cutie?!

You’ll feel classy and elegant in this polka dot high/low hem dress.  It’s got that perfect swing factor and is fully lined.  Plus, the cut of the dress is very flattering.  I dressed it up with red accessories in honor of Memorial Day.

The lipstick is what y’all really wanted to know about. It’s by MAC, called EROS.  I like this lipstick because the color is intense, but also feels creamy on and lasts all day.  Also, I don’t find that MAC lipsticks have any weird smell or taste – and I’m particular about that!

Now these safari shorts will definitely be on repeat this summer.  The neutral color goes with everything and they are so comfortable!  I love the waist and pockets!

Jumpsuit XSP

If you saw Wednesday’s Dressing Room post, you know I love a good jumpsuit!  This one is sooooo good! It’s ultra comfy with a little ruffle at the back and pockets too!  This is the kind of jumpsuit you can dress up with heels or wear causally with flat sandals.  Both work, depending on your mood and the event.

Y’all were crazy for this drawstring maxi dress.  It’s like your comfiest t-shirt, in a dress! It runs big, so size down. The XXSP fit me perfectly without having to alter the length.

Yep, it’s that time of year when jean shorts are getting all the love!  This is my go-to pair that I’ve had several years now and they’re still going strong.  Pairing them with converse sneakers and a red and white striped tee will easily have you ready for a Memorial Day backyard BBQ!
