Welcome to Friday friends! I just typed in the post date and is it really Friday the 13th?! What does that mean?! Let’s just all be prepared for and expect only good things to come our way today! How does that sound? I’m feeling it! For you too! And I’m putting that good energy out there for my kids. They both have a serious case of the sniffles/runny nose and I swear if Jordan sees me coming at her one more time with a ‘boogy wipe’ she’s gonna seriously lose it. #poorgirl
Y’all are in for a treat with today’s dressing room post because I found some seriously cute stuff for you! If I could’ve just wrote in all caps and blog beneath each picture – “HOW CUTE IS THIS?!” I would have! But that’s not as helpful as giving you the details, so . . . And, for a real life LIVE dressing room post check out my IG Story highlights so you can see the dresses and jumpsuits in video!
This post is full of darling tops, warm weather shorts (that aren’t jean shorts)! and dresses you will swoon over! Like I mentioned in April Loves, I’m heading to a blog conference next week, so I’ve been trying on tons of things looking for outfits that are stylish, flattering and comfortable! And thanks for letting me know you want the blog tips- I’ll take notes for ya and report back!
For size reference, I’m super petite, 5’1, 105, 34D. I usually wear 0P or 25 in jeans and XS or 0P tops.
The tops of the moment are all about gingham, ruffles, color, and embroidery. All of those details make for the sweetest tops!
Wrap tops can be extra flattering because they accentuate the smallest part of your waist. This one is in a pretty pale blue with stripes and tiered sleeves! The long bow tie makes a statement on its own!
This wrap top is equally as flattering and in a pretty bold red! I’ve actually already worn it with skinny jeans showed you in last week’s Outfits Lately!
Once you have the best strapless bra, a world of off-shoulder shirt options opens up to you! I’m smitten with the white embroidery detail on this one, but I think I need to size down one. And speaking of strapless bras, that one I highly recommend is on sale 40% off in the pecan color. It fits TTS and I swear it’s as comfortable as a regular bra. I can wear mine all day without issue!
Gingham is ever popular in this black and white tunic top that tied at the waist with the cutest tassel belt. Because of the modest cut, you could definitely wear this to work with slacks.
I’m wearing it with a pair of black linen flat front shorts that are a great neutral backdrop for so many tops this spring and summer!
The straps in this sweet red and white gingham top are adjustable and practical for keeping your top up! I like the three-quarter length leaves and slight sweetheart neckline on this one!
Off Shoulder Top (XSP) on sale
For a date night, silky smooth material on this rust colored off shoulder top is divine! The tie at the sleeve is a cute detail too! I’d probably wear this with skinny jeans and nude heels!
Striped Tunic (XSP) on sale
The combination of stripes and embroidery on this tunic top actually works! I think you get lots of wear from a tunic because they transitioned well from work to weekend, PTO and church!
You definitely won’t go unnoticed in this top! It’s a bright fuchsia that is on the dressier side with the silkymaterial. Comes in 6 colors!!
These navy embroidered shorts help ground the pink top and are super cute and comfy with an elastic waist.
I think I’ll be taking the scallop tank top and floral shorts to the blog conference next week. With these comfortable wedges it’s an outfit I can easily run around in all day!
I’ve been eyeing this embroidered top for a while now and finally scooped it up! It’s a special night out top with the mesh fabric, pretty purple embroidered florals and puffy sleeves. It looks great with those flat front black shorts but would also be super cute with skinny jeans and heels on a date! I’m wearing a black bra with it, but you can’t really see it through the top.
I always stock up on basic swing tanks because they are practical under blazers and cardigans, but look great with jeans and shorts and skirts also! This one has 5 color options (including stripes)! And it’s under $30!
I’m fond of the pale green color and scalloped edge detail on this tie waist short! The crisp white ruffle collared shirt makes for a smart looking outfit! And of course the white top will easily go with so many other things in your closet from skirts to jeans.
The shirt also comes in a beautiful green gingham that would look just darling at work with some navy slacks or dressed up on the weekend with your dark jeans!
Stripes and three-quarter length sleeves with a boatneck are one of my favorite style tops! The silhouette is so classic and always makes me feel more put together than a regular T-shirt!
This top also comes in a pretty pink and green stripe or patriotic red, white and blue stripes. I love the pop of yellow with the navy stripes on this one!! I actually wore it yesterday for my micro blading touch up and I can’t wait to share all the details with you! I made a video of the whole process that I hope to edit and upload soon! In the meantime, you can catch the highlights on stories! And you can see my original microblading post here!
I can’t have a dressing room post without more stripes! How cute is this striped tie waist top?! The wider neckline makes a great backed up for a necklace also!
I shared these Wedges with you yesterday in my April Loves and I’m super happy with them! They are so comfortable for walking around all day and I’m definitely taking them to the conference because there’s nothing worse than your feet aching after a long day!
I found they fit true to size, I’m wearing a Size 6.
Now onto dresses, and get settled in because there are quite a few options to choose from!
I found two lovely white dresses and this first one has feminine crochet detail and is fully lined with an asymmetric hem. The fit and flair style is universally flattering and easy to wear.
You might recognize this dresss from James’ and Jordan’s recent baptism! I couldn’t have felt prettier in this dress and it felt perfect for that special occasion. It would also be beautiful for a baby or bridal shower. It comes in more colors also!
Tank Dress (XXSP)
It’s a good idea to have a simple swing dress in your closet. They pack well, are easy to take on vacation or throw on for a night out! You can dress them up with heels or they look great with your Tory Burch Miller sandals! If your chilly, throw on a jean jacket and you can have fun accessorizing this dress with all kinds of different necklaces.
I would probably go with my normal size, XSP. My true size would be slightly longer and give me a little more room in the chest area.
It’s hard to tell, but this little black dress has a sweet ruffle detail at the bottom and sleeves and ties at the waist! It’s those little details that make it that much more special!

This black and white gingham skirt makes a great option for work with the white top I showed you above.
Stripe Maxi (XS)
Although this Maxi was about 10 feet too long on me, this picture almost makes it look like I have a train! I loved the stretchy comfortable material and the contrasting stripes! It might be worth getting this one altered because I really love it!
Maxi Dress XXSP
Like your favorite T-shirt, but in a maxi dress! The fabric is lightweight and soft and the drawstring waist keeps it from looking frumpy. Thankfully, it comes in petite so no alterations necessary! ?
White Lacey Dress (XS)
Here’s the second white dress I mentioned and it is so fresh and fun! It’s completely lined so not at all see-through, and I adore the simple silhouette.
I saved my very favorite dress for last! This floral number is a STUNNER and feels amazing on! I couldn’t believe I found such a flattering dress that isn’t petite! You’d be a head-turner for sure at your next Spring soiree or wedding! It’s got a high low hem with lots of volume that’s perfect for dancing and I love the slight sweetheart neckline and banded waist.
Finally, I love a good jump suit because it always feels fashion forward and if you find the right one, can be extremely flattering! Of course there’s always that pesky detail of having to take it all the way off to go to the bathroom, but in my book, it’s worth it!
I really like the simple style of this black linen blend jumpsuit. You have to see the back! It ties with a cute key hole cut out! It’s supposed to be a little more crop length but otherwise fits me perfectly!
Again, although I would have to alter this jumpsuit, it gives you the illusion of legs for days! It feels classy and chic and I’m smitten with how the white top crisscrosses in front with cap sleeves and pockets!
Okay friends, I’ll feel confident that I’ve left you with lots of OMG, HOW CUTE IS THIS?! 😉 options for today!
I hope you have the best day!
