35 Spring Outfit Ideas

Well, just as we’re approaching the end of the week, I’m finally starting to feel like I’ve got my life together!  It takes some time after traveling, right?!  I did a poll on Stories asking if y’all felt the same way and I was so happy to hear that it’s not just me! I always feel so bad for taking forever to get back on track!

That grocery store online order & pickup + crockpot combo yesterday was a lifesaver!  Have you ever tried that? And now James has parent/teacher conferences so that means school ends at noon today and tomorrow!  Maybe we’ll get to do something fun like sneak in a bit of pool time.  It’s actually been hot enough for it here this week!

Today is a fun post where I’ve culled through all my recent posts here and on Instagram to bring you 35 cute, colorful Spring outfit ideas!  There’s lots of pink/fuschia, bright/bold accessories, ruffles, and gingham to be had!  AND, I went a step further and organized everything by category with descriptions and fit tips!  I hope you find this post useful!

DRESSES

purple shift dress and wedges

Dress • Purse • ‘Megan’ Necklace • Everyday Wedges • Anklet • Sunglasses

Comfy + cute in full effect at the rewardStyle poolside party with my best gals! ?? This dress comes in more colors (I have it in black too)! The fun Pom Pom clutch is under $30 and has lots of room for all your necessities.

Never in my life has a piece of jewelry been named after me, and I was so surprised and excited when the sweet owners of Accessory Concierge let me know they named this pink tassel necklace the ‘Megan Necklace’ after me after seeing me wear it at the blog conference last weekend!   If you happen to buy one for yourself, send me a pic of you wearing it and I’ll share it here on my blog!  That would be so awesome for all of us to have it and share what we wore it with!

FIT:  TTS, I’m wearing an XXSP in the dress, but could have went with XSP (my normal size).

floral dress

Dress • Clutch • Earrings • Heels

I got to put my fancy party dress on for the finale party of the rewardStyle conference! ?? Even though I haven’t felt the best in this trip, hanging with the girls is always a hoot!  This floral dress is a stunner for a Spring/Summer wedding or party.

FIT:  True to size. Wearing 0.

Striped Eyelet Dress.4

Dress • Shoes • Earrings • Necklace • Bag • Watch • Bracelets

This grey and white striped eyelet dress has just enough ruffle detail to make it more interesting! I love the mix of stripes and eyelet and how the hem ends with the eyelet trim.  The v-neck is modest and the waist is flattering with the band and how it tapers in.

FIT:  This dress runs a tad small, I’m wearing a 2 and it fits great, but I’m normally a 0. It’s actually very comfortable on and you can wear your regular bra with it.

Striped Eyelet Dress • Necklace • Earrings • Purse • Shoes • Bracelets

White eyelet just says fresh and Spring to me and the cut of this dress is really cool.  The ruffle on the one shoulder is echoed in the double ruffle on the skirt.  It’s super flirty and feminine, and guaranteed to turn some heads!  The belt tie is removable, but I like the detail.

Fit:  This dress runs TTS, I’m wearing XS.

Stripe & Floral Ruffle Dress

Dress • Shoes • Bag • Watch • Bracelets • Necklace • Earrings

This was my Easter Dress! The neckline is modest and the pattern is a fun mix of florals and stripes.  I also think it would be cute to add a belt to the middle of the dress for added interest – and defining the waist a little!

Fit: The dress fits TTS, I’m wearing XSP.

Kendra Scott spring collection (1)

Dress • Shoes • Jean Jacket • Bag • Necklace • Earrings • Bracelets • Watch • Sunglasses

This super-affordable dress is really unique with the halter top and asymmetric hem.  The aqua and coral colors got me immediately! This dress is fun and flirty. I could see wearing it to a party or brunch or out on date night! I love how the back flows when it catches the wind! If you aren’t crazy about the stripes, this dress comes in a gorgeous solid coral color as well. I think it would look so good with hair up to show off your shoulders!

DRESS FIT:  The dress fits TTS, I’m wearing XS, but in retrospect, I wish it came in XSP so that it would be a little bit smaller overall for a petite frame.

Striped black and white dress

Tie Front Midi Dress • Black Sandal • Necklace

Anyone else looking forward to a night off cooking?!  I mean, this tie front midi dress is begging to get out of the kitchen! I love the stripes – of course! The tie in the front adds an extra something to the dress that I’m loving. The skirt flares out enough to make it fun and flirty too!

Fit Tip:  The dress runs a little small, I’m wearing size XS and normally wear XSP. It’s minidress length also, I’m 5’1 for reference.

Striped shirt dress

Dress (more sizes and colors here) • Jacket • Tory Burch Miller Sandals • Suede Foldover Clutch • Bracelets • Earrings

This dress is stretchy, comfy perfection and with everybody’s favorite stripe pattern! The criss cross tie at the top gives it a playful, nautical feel and keeps it from being too revealing. It’s perfect for running weekend errands and looking cute while doing so, especially if you paired them with these white sneaks!

Dress Fit Tip:  The dress runs a little small, I’m wearing size XS and normally wear XSP. It’s minidress length also, I’m 5’1 for reference.

Spring fashion - pink and white gingham dress 4

Dress • Yellow Heels • Straw Tote • Sunglasses • Bracelet • Watch • Anklet  • Necklace

I’m thinking this pink gingham dress would be pretty sweet for the occasion! ?  It’s a modest cut with a crewneck. The fit and flair silhouette is super flattering and it comes with the cute pink skinny belt to accentuate the smallest part of your waist.

This dress is also kid friendly. If you are out with your children, you won’t be falling out of it if you have to carry a kid on your hip or need to bend down! The length is also good for bending over… or windy days. A white jean jacket or blazer also looks great with this dress.

The straw and white tote bag I found at JC Penney is definitely full of Spring vibes! I bet a Mom would love this bag for Mother’s Day! It’s a great size for carrying everything you need, with an inside zip pocket, 3 slip pockets and a big middle zip bag to keep you organized.

FIT : This dress fits true to size, I’m wearing the 2P and did not alter it, therefore it’s slightly long on me, but I actually like this tea length.

Dress • Shoes • Similar Clutch • Earrings •Necklace • Bracelets • Watch

What immediately drew me to this dress was the asymmetric ruffled shoulder, but the opposite shoulder isn’t totally bare, it’s got a sassy spaghetti strap that you can adjust as needed.  It also feels really luxurious on because the fabric is ultra soft and smooth. With these swingy ruffles, you better go dancing after dinner!  The dress is a wrap style with a tie-belt, and it’s partially lined.

FIT : The dress runs a tad small, the size XS fit me perfectly.

Little Black Rusched Dress-1

Dress • Leopard Heels • Necklace • Earrings • Clutch

The first thing you’ll notice when you put this dress on is how super soft it is.  I’m talking pajama soft.  I’ve been hooked on this pair of striped pajamas and this dress feels as comfortable as those, but of course thicker. It’s actually lined with double layers of that soft fabric so it’s extra smooth.

And we all know how I feel about 3/4 sleeves.  They are just so classic and chic (think Audrey Hepburn) and I like sleeves that allow your bracelets to show. PS it’s under $50!

FIT : This dress runs big, I sized down 1 to PXXS. It also comes in plus size. It’s got ruching on both sides that flatters your curves and the criss-cross front gives the illusion of longer legs.

SKIRTS

Gingham skirt and black camisole with wedges

Top • Skirt • Similar Clutch • Wedges • Sunglasses

It’s becoming a thing – Pink drinks on Friday! ??  Gingham is becoming my thing this season too. It’s such a great and easy pattern to mix with your closet staples!

FIT : This skirt runs true to size, I’m wearing an XS. The ruffles in the front make it seem a little short but the ruffle in the back keep your bum covered!

Gibson x LIY skirt and tee w military vest-1-4

Skirt • Tee • Wedges • Bag • Necklace • Blue Aviators • Watch • Similar Bracelets & here

This skirt is like the holy grail, ‘special skirt’ that is equal parts comfortable and chic! The material feels like a sweatshirt, so it’s as cozy as your favorite sweats, but not frumpy! And there’s pockets. #sold I’m a big neutrals lover, but I’m also crazy for a stripe and this skirt comes in red, navy and navy/white stripe.  I love that nautical combo.

Skirt Fit:  It runs big, so size down.  I’m wearing XSP, but probably could have gotten XXSP. It has an elastic drawstring waist that you can tighten.

SHORTS

Green scallop shorts and white ruffled tank w wedges

Ruffle Collar Top • Shorts • Everyday Wedges • Bracelet • Anklet • Choker • Bag

I’d say it’s feeling like Spring again! ? Scallop trim shorts & white ruffle collared top = ?! You should see the back of the top, buttons all the way down! The ruffle collar makes this little white blouse just a little extra, and I’m ok with that. Just try to avoid any major wind situations.

FIT : Both the shorts and the shirt are TTS.

V-Neck Tunic • Gingham Shorts • Wedge Sandals • Saddle Crossbody Bag • Sunglasses • Necklace • Watch • Anklet • Earrings

Gingham shorts FTW! ?  With our weather heating up, I’ve been pulling out my jean shorts a ton, but sometimes you want a short that looks a little more ‘presentable’, and even better when it comes in a bold black and white gingham pattern! These shorts are cotton flat front with faux front pockets and a zip and button fly closure. Of course I love the gingham, but they come in 20 colors and patterns.  You can machine wash them and you won’t believe the price-only $17!

relaxed fit tunic is perfect because it’s as comfortable as a T-shirt, but looks like you gave a little more effort. This one is lightweight and buttons up the middle with a closed seam that hides the buttons. It’s got a high/low hem (longer in the back), so you’ll be able to wear your leggings with it when it’s cooler out. I did a knot tie in the front with the shorts, but you could also tuck it in or wear loose and untucked.

FIT: Shorts are TTS, wearing size 0. Tunic is TTS, I’m wearing XS.  XXS would probably be a better fit for me.

floral shorts and blue t-shirt

V-Neck Tee • High-Waist Shorts • Shoes • Bag • Necklace • Anklet • Similar Beaded Bracelets

One of my favorite outfits that came in my first Trunk! ?? These shorts are floral high waist goodness. I really liked the dressy, tie front shorts.  The white background and floral pattern is so fresh for Spring, especially paired with a light blue top. You can never have enough Madewell V-neck tees in your closet! I have the striped & coral but didn’t have the soft blue! ?

The Ankle Strap Sandals are a winner for sure!  They are similar to the nude stiletto heels I wear all the time, but with a chunkier heel that’s a bit more comfortable for longer wear.

FIT : Both the shorts and the tee run TTS. I’m wearing an XS in both!

Spring outfit - red top and light blue shorts

Red Top • Shorts  • Wooden Bag • Sandals

I’ve always been a fan of a red and light blue color combo.  This shorts outfit is from Loft and a nice change from the jean shorts I’m always in! We’ve been lucky with the best get-outside-in-the-sunshine weather today! ☀️ When there’s sun without humidity in Houston we celebrate!! ❤️ This tank is silky in the front and tee-shirt in the back with pale blue tie waist shorts! Wooden bag is under $40!

FIT : Both shorts and top are XSP. Shorts were a little baggy, but fit well!

floral shorts and black peplum top

Shorts • Top • Earrings • Everyday Wedges • White Blazer • Bar Necklace

My floral shorts and earrings fit right in with the gorgeous decor at the rewardStyle conference! The shorts are high-waisted and super comfy. The large floral print definitely makes them appropriate for Spring. The ruffle top is one of my faves. This black one is a little older, but it’s still available in white which will make a nice addition to your closet! The material is dressy enough, but still breezy and comfy. I brought along my White Blazer to keep warm in the conference!

FIT : Both shorts and top are TTS.

Spring outfit - pink top with embroidered shorts and wedges

Shorts • Swing Top • Everyday Wedges • Purse • Sunglasses • Earrings • Bar Necklace

I must be on a purply pink kick lately! ??? Swing tank is a steal and how cute are these embroidered shorts?!

I like these navy shorts because they are comfortable and easy to wear with an elastic waist and pockets.  The pink, yellow and white in the embroidery makes it a snap to add a top in one of those colors. At $29, I’m tempted to buy one of these tanks in every color and pattern available!  I like them worn alone or layered under a jacket or cardigan.  It’s got a swingy/flowy shape and not too short.

FIT:  The shorts run a little big, I’m wearing XXS. TTS, The tank is TTS. I’m wearing XS, which fits perfectly.

PANTS

Skimmer Jeans • Satin Blouse • Tan Bag • Shoes • Bracelets • Choker • Earrings • Watch • Similar Necklace

Wearing comfortable and flattering slim crop jeans and a silky tunic tank. ? Add a cardi or blazer if your building gets cold!  This jean comes in five Spring colors, so they aren’t your typical casual blue jean.  I’m wearing the color called ‘thyme’, that is best described as light olive.

This ivory satin tank blouse is both sophisticated and relaxed. The blouse comes in a whole rainbow of colors, so you’ll definitely want more than one!  This ivory is slightly sheer, but with a nude bra, you’ll be fine. I left my blouse untucked, but for a more professional look, go ahead and tuck it.  It would look great tucked into your pencil and A-line skirts too.

Fit:  Jeans fit TTS, and come in petite.  I’m wearing 0P. The brand is Wit & Wisdom, which is known for their ‘Ab Solution’ technology that molds and holds with a touch of stretch.  Basically, they keep your tummy tucked in with a built-in stretch waistband, but from the outside, they look like a regular 5-pocket, zipper jean. The blouse is TTS, I’m wearing an XSP.

How to Style Your White Blazer for Work

White BlazerPink Blouse • Black Pants • Purse • SunglassesHeels

This office-friendly look is one of my faves! ? The ankle pants ($69) are chic and versatile with pockets and a cute slit at the ankle. PLUS they’re comfortable enough to run around in on the weekends with flats! ?  The top comes in lots of colors and can be worn untucked also. This tunic is great because it has a nice v-neck that is just open enough to show some skin, but still modest.  The cap sleeves are also flattering.  ? A blazer always makes me feel more put together and I can’t forget about these leopard shoes! Wowza! ?

FIT : Pants come in regular and petite and I’m wearing 00P. Top fits slightly oversized, I’m wearing XSP. Size up a half in the shoes!!

Spring Outfit - Palazzo pants with tank and wedges

Palazzo Pants XXSP • Tank • Tan Wedges • Crossbody Bag

I’m always a fan of pants that feel like pajamas but are acceptable to wear in public! ?  They are comfy like pajama pants, but appropriate for public viewing! ? It looks most flattering to wear a fitted top with this type of pant and tuck it in to show off the tie waist.

FIT : I sized down in the palazzo pants because of the loose fit! They have a stretchy waistband that makes them fit great!

WHITE JEANS

Twist Hem Top • Best Budget White Jeans • Necklace • Watch • Tote • Bracelet • Sunglasses • Similar Earrings • Shoes

For those who asked to see a full length pic of this pink ‘confetti top’ here ya go! ? It’s got a mini front twist and comes in several colors! ???  I’m partial to this ‘confetti’ print because it’s fun and bold, even with just a bit of contrasting color.  The front twist gives the illusion of a partial tuck without the effort of trying to get that tuck right!  I’m also a fan of 3/4 length sleeves- they are comfortable in the warmer months and let you show off your arm jewelry. The combo of colors in this shirt will work with not only white jeans or white pants, but also blue jeans, and navy pants/skirts. These are my fave budget white jeans!

FIT :  Top runs big, I sized down to a PXXS.  White Jeans are TTS, I’m wearing size 25.

Casual Weekend Outfit - white jeans pink gingham top 1

Gingham Top • Best Distressed White Jeans • Leopard Belt • Tan Bag • Sandals • Sunglasses • Watch • Bracelets • Necklace

I styled this for a weekend look.  How can you go wrong with a lightweight gingham button-down top and a little bit of leopard?!

It’s a crinkle, light fabric with a centered back seam so it will fit you better. You don’t have to take this button down to the dry-cleaners; it’s machine wash and dryable. The jeans are my favorite distressed white jeans! Not too much so that you feel ultra exposed or ratty, but just enough to make them hip.

FIT : Top Fits TTS, I’m wearing 00. Jeans are TTS, I’m wearing my normal size 25.

Weekend White Jeans Outfit

Denim Peplum Top • Best Overall White Jeans • Shoes • Similar Clutch • Sunglasses • Necklace • Bracelet • Watch • Earrings

I’m super fond of this night out look.  How seriously darling is the denim peplum tank?! It’s a nice thick denim material with wide shoulder straps, a little bit of a sweetheart neckline and peplum waist that makes you look super small in the middle. I also like the stitching and raw edge hem. These jeans won my overall top choice white jeans. I liked them because they are totally opaque, very comfortable and stretchy- like a cross between a jean and jegging- with faux front pockets, and a cute white button.

FIT : Top fit TTS, I’m wearing XS. It fits quite snug, so I went sans bra, but you could wear a strapless bra or backless bra with it.  The backless bra works best with these types of tops/dresses that are fitted at the bust. Originally I reported the jeans fit TTS and I’m wearing 25, but after wearing them for a day, I felt like I could have sized down 1 to a 24.

Kendra Scott spring collection (2)

Anklet •Beaded Bracelet • Cuff Bracelet • Earrings • Jeans • Leopard Sandals • Similar Tank

I love that white jeans can be worn with just about any shirt in your closet!! Bonus points for leopard print sandals that jazz it up just a bit!! These favorite budget white jeans are comfortable and cute with the little frayed detail at the bottom!! The tank is old, but the similar one is the the same color with a different neckline! The color goes perfectly with the summery Kendra Scott jewelry!!

FIT : Jeans fit TTS – I’m wearing a 25P.

Jeans • Top • Blazer • Heels • Bag • Bracelet • Necklace • Earrings

I kept the outfit monochromatic except for the pop of blue in the blazer. Dressing in all one color from head to toe looks so chic!  Gold jewels that aren’t too overwhelming finish off the look. A silky blouse like this is a Must-Have for every professional women’s wardrobe.  They go with everything from suits to skirts and also look great worn casually for a night out.  The silky material feels great against your skin and will keep you cool during hot summers. This one comes in a whole rainbow of colors and you can machine wash it!

I feel like I hit the jackpot with this blazer because it is well tailored, nice quality, three-quarter sleeves with a tiny bit of ruching.  It fits true to size,  and is meant to be slim fitting. I’m wearing size XS.  Did I mention it’s under $80?! I love it so much I just got it in white also!

FIT : Top runs TTS, I’m wearing XSP. White Jeans –  after wearing them for a day, I felt like I could have sized down 1 to a 24.

Weekend Outfit with white jeans and striped top 3

Jeans • Top • Hat • Sandals • Necklace • Earrings • Similar Bracelet • Sunglasses • Bag

I’m wearing the double freyed hem white jeans, which have quickly become a wardrobe Must Have!  They are opaque, lightweight, a great fit, and reasonably priced! I’m crazy for this fun weekend look with white jeans, a casual three-quarter sleeve striped top and the ever popular Tory Burch Miller sandals!

Weekends off mean ponytails, topknots, or disguising a bad hair day with a hat!  I chose this chambray hat knowing it would go with every outfit! I actually like wearing a hat on the weekends to shield my face from the sun! If I’m ever running outside or going to the pool, you bet you’ll find me wearing a visor!

FIT : Jeans Fit TTS, wearing 25.

Spring Outfit - blue wrap ruffle sleeve top and white jeans 2

Distressed White Jeans • Top (similar & similar in red) • Heels • Similar Necklace • Similar Bracelets • Clutch

And last but not least, we have our well look! Getting a little bit dressed up for a night out always makes it more fun, don’t you think?!  This wrapped up with ruffle sleeves is flirty and feminine and I love how the tie waist accentuates the smallest part of your body!

This exact top sold out quickly – but some sizes are back AND 40% Off! I found two similar that would be a great alternative.  This pale blue top mimics the color and style – I featured it in my last dressing room post. This one is nearly identical in style, but in a gorgeous bold red!

FIT : Jeans Fit TTS, I’m wearing my normal size 25.

BOOTCUT JEANS

Bootcut Jeans withbow tie back sweater-1

Itty Bitty Bootcut Jeans • Sweater • Bag • Sunglasses • Shoes • Earrings • Necklace • Bracelets • Watch • Similar Bracelets

I found the most.comfortable. and flattering bootcut jeans ever and I’m not just aaying that!  You have to at least try them on to see what I mean.  And they’re under $80!They’re designed to keep your tummy in and they also look ? from behind! ? When I first put these on, I didn’t want to take them off! It’s hard to find any kind of pant or jean that give you legs for days, but these do! Y’all know what a shorty I am, just 5’1 (with short legs!), but I felt so much taller and leggier (is that a word?) in these!

Jeans Fit: They run a tad big, I’m wearing 00P, a size down from my regular 0P.  I’d recommend sizing down in these because they also have a lot of stretch.  They are the same Wit & Wisdom brand from yesterday with ab-solution technology, designed to tuck you in and keep your tummy tamed.

Itty Bitty Bootcut Jeans • Top • Heels • Bag • Necklace  Bracelets • Watch

Here are the jeans again with a great, breezy tank that’s got t-shirt material on the back!! I love the bright red with the sassy leopard print pumps.

FIT : Top fit TTS, it’s meant to be a little swingy and loose at the bottom.

Bootcut Jeans with black tank-1

Itty Bitty Bootcut Jeans • Tank • Heels • Bag • Necklace • Bracelets • Watch • Long Necklace • Sunglasses • Earrings

This v-neck tank could go with anything! It can dress up or down or go under a blazer. I love pairing a the long, Y necklace.

FIT : Top fit TTS.

SKINNY JEANS

Spring Casual Outfit - skinny jeans, military jacket and leopard heels

Peplum Utility Jacket TTS, XSP • AG Jeans TTS, 25 • White Tank TTS, XS • Shoes (size up 1/2) • Bag • Bar Necklace • Similar Layering Necklace • Anklet

I think this first outfit is my spirit animal of an outfit- the jeans that make you look skinny mini with a simple white tank, leopard heels and a very cute take on a military jacket with a slight peplum hem to dress it up.  And add a few delicate jewelry pieces (two necklaces and an anklet- yes, I said anklet! It’s back and I’m loving it!).  This look takes you from day date to night out if your feet last that long in the heels!

FIT : Everything runs TTS – except the heels. Size up half in the heels!

Spring Outfit - red wrap top and skinny jeans

Striped Wrap Top • AG Jeans 30% Off • Tan Wedges • Wooden Bag • Necklace • Bracelet

You really can’t go wrong with a wrap top (or dress for that matter).  They are so universally figure flattering and the red in this one is vibrant and fun! The neckline is pretty modest, so I bet you could wear it to work.

FIT : I sized up in the shirt to a SP.

Striped top (1)

Top • Jeans • Sandals • Earrings

This striped top is so fun with the mix of colors. It’s soft and thin – so it’s perfect for transitioning to Spring. The dark stripe is navy, even though it looks black in the picture. That’s all good, but the real highlight of this sweater is the button back!

  1. So adorable! I really like the color of your toenails. Is there a specific type of pedicure you got and what is the color of the polish? I’m due for a pedicure and just looking at my options.

  2. Which formula is it? There the lacquer, gel and infinite shine. I am so looking forward to the massage! It’s been too long! Thank you very much!
