Wow, I feel like January kicked off with a bang! I’ve been so filled with ideas for new content here and honestly right now have more ideas than time or space! Maybe that’s why I’ve been having trouble sleeping! Sometimes, even if I’m exhausted, I have trouble turning off my brain! And if you read yesterday’s post about how I was gonna give up coffee for 5 days to see if it improved my sleep, I’ll fast forward and let you know I’m a big wimp and only lasted ONE day! Pitiful, I know!! But, I decided to allow myself that morning cup of coffee that I enjoy so much, but none after that. The effects should surely wear off before bedtime with that plan. #coffeelover #withcreamer
My goal this year is to make Honey We’re Home a more well-rounded lifestyle blog digging into topics like fashion, beauty, fitness, and intentional living (think goals, productivity and organization), and even Mom life and decor because I’m passionate about all of those topics and I know you’re interested in them too!

Every year I like to challenge myself in new ways for personal growth. Last year I took up meditating and tried yoga and started waking up early to get my workouts it. I didn’t stick with yoga, but I still like to meditate and wake up early because it just feels so good to get a jumpstart on the day! The goal this year is to wake up each day with more energy, motivation and focus. So, basically, with The Miracle Morning where you set aside some time in the morning to go through a routine that taps into the Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, and Spiritual parts that make up every human being. The Miracle Morning Routine consists of 6 daily rituals “SAVERS” : Silence, Affirmation, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, Scribing (writing).
Lots of you have asked how this is going for me so I will do a separate post in detail with what my miracle morning looks like and also shared the affirmations and visualizations I use.

We’ve had record cold temps all across the country – and Houston has not been spared. It was bitter cold here for a couple days and even snowed and closed school for two days!
