2 Winter Skirts

Hi guys! I’m super excited about a few new things that just arrived, especially because they are a change from my everyday jeans!

I’m lucky to live in a place with weather that allows for things like winter skirts on some days- particularly days like yesterday where it went from 55-66 degrees ! I’ve got two winning skirts to share with you today that I’m crazy for! Both are great quality and can easily be dressed up or down!

PLAID SKIRT & BLACK TUNIC SWEATER

First up is this adorable plaid skirt that I styled for work and a fun night out on the town.

PLAID SKIRT : The plaid skirt is a soft material, true to size and relatively inexpensive at under $50! #winwinwin It’s also got a tiny bit of pink in the pattern that would be fun to accentuate with a pink top. I’m wearing the 2 US that fits like 0 and I didn’t have to do any alterations to it.  (I’m 5’1, 105 for reference).  It has a fun zipper with an o-ring pull and two front snaps. This exact skirt is running low on sizes – because it’s just that good. There’s a very similar style available right now that I’m also a big fan of! It seems the plaid mini skirt trend is coming back from 1995! #asif 

 

I mixed patterns to show you how you can make Leopard Print go with anything! Because a little bit of leopard is always a good idea!

Then I added black tights to make the outfit more work and cold weather friendly!

TUNIC SWEATER : The black top is one of my current faves and it comes in five different colors. It’s thin, so it’s not bulky, but thick enough to be warm.  It’s easy to tuck in, but would look cute with some jeans or skinny cargos! This same brand makes one of my fave short sleeve tees as well!  Mine is an XXS, so I’d say it runs true to size.

HOBO BAG : I traded in my handy crossbody bag for this darling hobo bag.  I love the size and the quality of this bag. It’s a good price, but looks expensive, which always feels like a win. It’s not TOO big that you lose things, but you still can fit a lot of stuff in there. The lining is a light, animal print which I love! It’s faux leather, but there’s a little black suede trim on the side.

WITH OVER THE KNEE BOOTS

Next up, I found that this skirt was the perfect length for showing off your sassy over the knee boots!  #Hellodatenight!

OVER THE KNEE BOOTS : If you’ve been eyeing these boots, now is the time to scoop them up because they are now marked down lower than ever- 55% off!  They are a lower, chunky heel, so perfectly comfortable for wearing all day!  They also come in grey and fit TTS.

This outfit practically begs for a faux leather jacket and looks so good with it!

PINK SWEATER & PRINT SKIRT

If you’re really starting to feel the winter blues, I have the sweater that’s sure to lift your spirits! This whole outfit really brightened my day. I hope it does yours!

SWEATER : This sweater is a thick, cable knit. So it will definitely keep you warm. The color is bright and fun – much brighter than it appears online (in a good way). The fuller, blouson sleeve gives it that little something different, which I love. The mock neck also ups the warm factor. It comes in 9 different colors!

 

This is definitely a wear with jeans sweater, but it pairs so well with the colors in this skirt. Would also look cute with some white jeans – maybe for a casual Valentine’s Day?! Yes, I always start thinking about Valentine’s Day – and Jordan’s birthday – which are just a few days apart, this time of year.  I’ve already started planning her Paw Patrol party! 😉

SKIRT : The A-Line style of this skirt makes it comfortable and casual, but the brocade finish makes it really stylish and even fancy. Either way you wear it, it’s incredibly flattering. Also it’s high waisted, so that’s a total mom win.  It doesn’t come in petite sizes, so this XS hits me just above the knee, which could potentially be a little on the shorter side for some of you – but was EXACTLY where I wanted it!

The skirt could be worn with a lot of different options! Maybe a white button down and navy pumps for the office? Black on black to make it a more pop of color piece?

I’m just saying, even though it’s winter, a pop of bright color is a great idea to brighten those dreary days!
