Date Night Style x 2 | Dress vs. Pants

Happy Friday friends!!  I’m so ready for the weekend (pass the wine, please!) and decided to share not one, but two fun date looks for you today!  It’s exciting to get all spiffied up for an adult night out. The crazy kids and day-to-day grind make a dinner with drinks out with your man very enticing! Today’s two outfits are both feminine, but one is a dress option when you feel like showing off a little skin and the second one is for when you want to be super comfortable, but still chic.  Let’s get to it!

Red Dress XS | Jean Jacket XS | Heels | Similar ClutchNecklace | Similar Red Bracelet | Earrings | Sunglasses

Remember this dress from the last Dressing Room post? As soon as I put it on, I immediately knew it would be perfect for a night out.  It’s flirty and fun with adjustable spaghetti straps and a ruffle trim.  I also appreciate the small hook and eye closure in the front that prevents any unintentional flashing! 🙂 It fits TTS and I’m wearing size XS.  And it’s a great price at under $60!
If red or pattern isn’t your thing, it also comes in solid papaya, black, blue and olive.  I think the olive is a really pretty shade of green.  That one would be super cute with black booties and a leather jacket (size up in that one).  Try these booties or these (both on sale 50% off!)

You know a dress is a hit when it makes you want to twirl around in it!

I liked picking up the pretty blue flowers in the dress with these two-toned blue heels.  But, you can’t go wrong with these nude strappy heels.  They give you legs for days for sure! And I need all the help I can get! #petiteproblems

I kept my clutch neutral, but love the blue tassel earrings for something unexpected.

We took these pics near in the River Oaks shopping district and I had to give a shout out to H-town!  If you ever see me out and about, please say hi!

Your denim jacket will be a great casual cover-up for a chilly evening out.  My jean jacket is on my Must-Have list and is super soft and also lightweight, so it won’t be too heavy.

If you wanted to make your sundress more appropriate for day, swap the heels for these flat sandals.  They come in a million colors and are a quality sandal that will last for years.  I have an older version and they are still going strong three years later!

For Date Night Look #2, I’m bringing back my ultra-soft, ankle-tie pants.  I usually wear these with a tank and flat sandals for running around in, but I wanted to repurpose them for a night out to double their wearability factor.  I think they make for a pretty sweet nighttime look!

Even though this outfit is as comfy as pajamas, I still felt elegant and classy in it.

This white off shoulder top with 3/4 sleeves can be worn on or off the shoulders, but I prefered the off-shoulder look.  It’s nice and blousy so you won’t have to feel self-conscious about dinner and dessert!  It’s a little sheer though the patterned part, but you can barely see my strapless bra through it. I’m definitely getting a lot of use out of that bra lately with so many off-shoulder, cold shoulder, and spaghetti strap tops lately.

I’ve had these drop earrings forever, but always thought they were too oversized for my petite frame.  Now, I think I was wrong- they look great with this outfit and not too big at all.

This outfit would be a great dinner and movie outfit so you could be dressed up for dinner, but then all comfy while you’re sitting at the movie.  Nothing worse than sitting down to a movie and all you can think about is tearing off your skinny jeans when you get home!  Speaking of skinny jeans, I just got this pair and they are a great value at $68.

Have I showed you these great black strappy heels yet?  I think so, but maybe not a close-up.  The heel isn’t super high, so they are easy to walk in, but very classy and go with everything from dresses to jeans.

My clutch is old, but this one is similar and only $45.  It’s a dupe for this genuine calf hair clutch.

Which look do you like better for a night out?! Have a great weekend!
