Woo hoo, we’re halfway to the weekend again! So far, this summer has been both fun and also exhausting! I know I just posted about getting Jordan to sleep through the night, so that has given me more sleep lately, but the days still feel so loooong! It’s hard to keep up with these kiddos! This is why they say it’s best to have your kids when you are young!
I took Jordan to her 4 month doctor appointment in this nursing friendly dress and then wore it to dinner later in the week. It’s soft material like a tee-shirt and comes in 3 colors. It criss-crosses in the back too.
When I wore the dress to the doctor appointment, the lighting was bad the dress looked more grey, with drool on it! #always, but it’s actually blue like in the photo above.
We have gotten out of the house several times now without any injuries or fights and all of us got back home in one piece. I consider that a win! Bowling is a great summer activity here because it is so hot in Houston. I wore this button front shirt so I could nurse Jordan and it worked perfectly! It’s also on sale 40% off now.
Many days are just jean shorts and tee-shirt days. This white tee is one of my faves. It’s included in the Nordstrom Anniversary sale(normally $25, now $17.90) and also comes in regular and petite in about a million colors.
On this particular day, I headed to one of my fave coffee shops in Houston, Tout Suite, to do a little work on my computer. They actually have good food and of course, great coffee there too. My hubby ended up meeting me since the place is downtown.
We ventured out on our first short road trip with Jordan for the 4th of July to Austin. Our good friends moved there last December, so it was awesome to get to hang with them again. It was their first time meeting Jordan!
This romper is so easy to wear and also comes in a pretty teal and also black.
I stocked up on these racerback tanks in a few different colors- they’re only $16.50 and 50% off that now! I’ve been carrying Jordan in this Sakura Bloom baby sling and I find it really helps my back. She doesn’t like being in her stroller and it’s often difficult to navigate it down crowded streets, so carrying her has worked out better for us. I used to get really hot with this baby wrap, but not so much with the Sakura one.
While we were in Austin, I found this swimsuit at Target! I tried a few one-piece swimsuits from Victoria’s Secret that didn’t work out for me, but this striped one-piece was a winner.
A few weeks ago, I showed you 6 ways to wear your striped tee (I know you have one:). This look below wasn’t included, but it’s a go-to for me. Just easy, easy. The striped tee(was $34.50, now $29.88 plus an extra 50% off, so only $15!!) And I swear by bringing my water bottle everywhere with me. I got this one at Starbuck’s.
So excited to see my fave maxi skirt back in stock in all sizes and also in black and grey AND on sale 30% off, under $30 now! Since red is the only one I have, I want the other colors too!
Man, I’m addicted to these mini caramel fraps this summer! I usually order them without whip cream, but sometimes they forget and I’m too shy to correct them. Y’all asked about my bracelet, which was a gift so I wasn’t sure where it was from, but I found it online. Here’s a similar gold link bracelet that’s less pricey.
This outfit from casual Friday also doubles as a date night look. I love how peplum tops cinch you in at the waist, making you look smaller there. Optical illusion at it’s best!
Thankfully, Jordan has been sleeping well in her crib and I took advantage of her going to bed early and had a dinner date with my girlfriend Audrey a couple Fridays ago at Grotto, an old Italian restaurant that’s been there forever. We ordered wine, but they were out of our choice, so the waiter brought another bottle and when I looked at the label, it said Jordan!
This top has been in heavy rotation- so cute and I like the flowiness of it. It’s normally $49.50, but only $22.50 now.
This outfit has been a fave, something about that embroidery and the necklace is a stunner. I wore it to eat at one of my favorite restaurants, Local Foods.
The necklace is from my Rocksbox (1st month free with my code ‘HONEYWEREHOMEXOXO’), but I found a similar necklace here and it’s 30% off!
Isn’t the green seating at Local Foods fun?! I love the teriyaki bowl there and I get it with shrimp.
Another date night look (I didn’t get a recent pic, so this one is old) is this black jumper. If you’re a shorty like me, you’ll have to get it hemmed.
How about cozy stripe crop pants for a change?! I actually love just hanging around the house in these, but I think they’re super cute for outside too! They’re normally $69.50, and $30 now.
On a recent Sunday, I took Jordan with my to her first girls’ brunch at our girlie hangout, Empire Cafe. This tank is only $20 and comes in 12 colors. A summer staple for sure!
By the way, I love this little petite camera. It’s the one I’ll keep in my bag or travel with since it’s so small and it takes amazing pictures. You can set it manually (which is how I normally take pics), but I don’t even do that with this camera, I just shoot in automatic and it adjusts to the light conditions perfectly. The other cool thing is that it’s wifi, so I can upload the pics to my phone to share on FB or instagram or via text/email.
I love Fridays because I always take a night off cooking – not that I cook every night anyway – but definitely not on Friday! I was itching to wear some of my new Nordstrom Anniversary Sale finds finds (jeans, booties$119.95, $79.90 and necklace$58, $37.90) – they go perfectly with this ruffled sleeveless peplum top. The olive and ivory are also great colors.
I had to scoop up the Joe’s jeans – I’ve been wanting this ‘Honey’ Curvy skinny jean for awhile and was waiting for it to go on sale. They’re about half off now, under $100! I still need to get them hemmed, I just rolled them underneath for the time being.
Y’all know I’m #teamromper and remember all the good things I said about this one when I first tried it on? This palm print romper looks sophisticated and fun at the same time. It’s not too short, not too low cut, and is different from many I’ve seen because it wraps up top and ties at the waist. It even has pockets!
And I couldn’t bear to leave you without sharing one of my best finds from the Nordstrom sale, something I’ve never owned before, but am so glad I finally do- over the knee boots!!! I ordered 3 pair since my store didn’t have them in stock and these were the clear winner! They fit true to size (although a few reviewers recommended ordering a 1/2 size up). I usually wear a 6 in sandals and heels and a 6 1/2 in shoes I wear a sock with, like boots and athletic shoes. I got a 6 1/2 in these and can wear a thin sock comfortably.
Even though I’m about 5 feet tall, they are easy to both walk and sit in. I can bend my knee to sit in these and some of the other ones I couldn’t. And they aren’t all the way up my thighs! This pair also comes in black leather and grey suede. The heel height is 3 1/2 inches, which I like because it gives me height, but isn’t too tall for walking in.
Of course I haven’t actually worn this outfit out of my bedroom yet, but it will be anxiously waiting come Fall!
This sweater runs big, size down one. It also comes in burgundy and black.
I’ll be back to share more of my Nordstrom sale pics and dressing room snaps on Friday, until then, if you want to shop my Instagrams or see where something is from, just click the link on my sidebar. You don’t need to be a LikeToKnowIt member now, which I know will make some of you very, very happy!

As a fun way to celebrate the sale together, and say ‘thank you’ for making HWH part of your day, I wanted to do a giveaway. I’m giving away a $250 Nordstrom gift card and will announce the winner on July 21, the day before the sale opens to the everyone. I’ll overnight the gift card (US and Canada residents only please) so you can get your shop on right away!

So this may sound weird but where do you buy pajamas? ESP pants? I'm in need of new comfy ones and am a shortie like you (5'2). Nowhere seems to have petite pjs and target and such are like a good foot too long. Thanks!
Oh I know, I swim in the Target pjs! But lately I've been wearing the shorts pj's from Target, so they fit. I definitely need to up my Fall pj game, I'll keep a lookout and let you know!
Hi Megan. I know I'm too shy to correct my Starbucks order of no whip but I can't believe you are too. I wanted to ask, if you would share with us readers some back to school fashions for your son?
With Starbuck's, if I'm in the drive thru I also just don't want to make people behind me wait for another drink to be made. Those drinks are expensive though, so we should get the correct order. 🙂 My son wears a uniform to school, but I do buy him clothes for weekends/holidays. I'll keep you in mind and look at the kids school clothes. They are on sale during the Nordstrom sale too!

You look so pretty in that sleeveless turtleneck and the over the knee boots!
Thank you! I love that outfit! Will probably be late October before I can wear it!

Hey Megan! Are you wearing the grey or the brown suede boots in your photo?
Oops! I'm so sorry, I just saw this! I'm wearing the brown.
