I’m Hi guys! It’s a late night here getting this post up and out before I head to Dallas for a few hours tomorrow to see my girlfriends at a blogger style conference. I wasn’t originally planning on going since Jordan is only so little still. I figured it was out of the question. But, the more I thought about it, I figured I could make it work by just going for the day since it’s so close. I really didn’t want to miss the opportunity to see my friends that live in different states when they’d be practically in my backyard! Yet, it’s still stressful trying to get out of town and it will be new to me to be pumping outside the house, throughout the day! I’m leaving in the morning and will be back that night, so I know Jordan is in great hands with Grandma, hubby and brother. It’s hard for a new mom not to feel guilty about taking time for herself or leaving her baby, even for a little while. While I type this, I’m feeling those pangs and I haven’t even left yet! I hope it’s a fun time and the break is refreshing. It’ll be back to T-ball games bright and early on Saturday morning!
weekend steals & deals | outfits lately
I found a great new pair of boyfriend jeans that I’m excited to share with you, especially because they come in regular and petite and are only $89! I got the 2 Petite and can wear them cuffed or uncuffed and no hemming necessary for this shorty! A little bit of ankle showing is sassy! The distressing is just enough to make them look relaxed, but not so much that they look shredded.
And how about this striped peplum top?! Stripes + peplum = win! If you find a peplum that fits your torso properly, it can be such a slimming look since it cinches your waist. I’ll take that right about now! I’m on the ‘lose baby weight’ train and doing well, but most of what’s left is (mostly) at my belly so this top is nice and flattering.
In the photos above, I hadn’t washed the jeans yet. I’m fanatical about washing my kids clothes before I put them on them, but sometimes for me, I’m not always as diligent, but I need to be! Anyways, the pics below are after 1 wash and dry in the dryer, so I wanted to show you what that looked like too. I like that they got just a little more fitted after the washing. Same with that peplum top above, but I didn’t get a pic of it after the wash.
Speaking of tank tops, below is a camisole that didn’t fit me, 🙁 but is so cute with the adjacent stripes. It was size 2 (which the site said fits like a 0) and it was too tight in the chest so I had to return it. I was thinking it would be cute with those jeans and some fun heels for a night out. Or cover with a blazer for a more office appropriate look.
Finally, I leave you with a drool-worthy pair of shoes, on sale! I’m the kind of friend that, if we were standing in Nordstrom together and you couldn’t decide which color, I’m going to tell you to get both! You’ll thank me later when you’re looking all cute with your adorable Spring heels! 😉

Good for you for going! You will so much more energized and inspired when you get back home. Have a great day.
I bought that last pair of heels you are showing a few weeks ago. I went with the pale pink since it reads almost nude but I love the brighter color, too. It was a tough choice!
Thank you for posting about the Halogen shoes being on sale! I already have a pair of the pink flat version of those shoes, and LOVE them! So, since they are on sale, just purchased 2 more pair :); I couldn't resist! Cute outfits in this post!
Such cute options Megan! Just a tip–when Nordstrom sells from places like Topshop, the sizing that they say it fits like is the British size. So it's a United States (US-2) size two that fits like a British 0. Hope that helps!

I am! It's so great to have some adult girl time!
Could you post the link again for the striped top you're wearing with the red necklace? The link takes me to the topshop striped camisole. Thanks!
Sorry about that! I knew it was a late night! Here ya go: http://rstyle.me/~cz-7YfBu 🙂

I don't have them, but they make such a statement! I assume the flats are comfy? Good to know!
