Remember a couple weeks ago when I showed you a new tank dress that I tried on in my closet?  I had the chance to wash it and wear it out into the light of day and I love it!  It shrunk a tiny bit (which is good for me), but not all that much even after putting it in the dryer.  If you’re taller (I’m 5’0) the front of the dress may hit just below your knees in the front and mid calf in the back, which is how it looks on the model online.  I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t dragging the floor on us shorties! 

Happy Good Friday cuties!  I’m wishing you a fabulous weekend with your family and friends.  We’ll be home today decorating eggs (finally!) with our little cousins.  We’re gonna try the shaving cream colored eggs and hopefully it’s not a Pinterest fail! For Easter, it’ll be church and then to Mom’s house for dinner.  Gotta keep things simple these days.  What are you up to this weekend?

weekend steals & deals

Raise your hand if you love Spring!  I’ve got both hands in the air over here! We’ve got Spring Break on the horizon and I’ve got a bad case of Spring fever!  Being inside so much has me itching for some fresh air.  Don’t you just love all the things that go along with Spring, like warmer weather, fresh flowers, Easter, dining al fresco, and all the bright, pretty Spring fashions. Especially the handbags! It’s this time of year that I start putting away my heavy sweaters and scarves  (did that last weekend) and trade in my darker hued bags for a bright pop of pretty. 

We’re into week 3 with our precious baby girl, and her due date is actually today!  I didn’t know we were ready for her, but I’m so glad she’s here and healthy and thriving.  She’s been an angel baby so far, eating and sleeping really well and just as cute as can be.  I’m already getting a  taste of just how different the worlds of a newborn girl and 6-year old boy are!  

Because she came early, I didn’t have a chance to finalize the nursery bath design until now.  You can see the before and some bathroom inspiration here.

As much as I’d like to keep hibernating at home with our less than 2-week-old baby girl, I also don’t want to miss some of our 6-year old’s special events.  Life must go on now that we’re a party of 4! Last weekend was James’ last basketball game and the end-of-the-season basketball party.  Dad coaches the team and did such a great job with those little kindergarteners, so I wanted to attend both as a family, and so that James would know that it’s not all about the baby.  I’ve already skipped out on practices and he’s let me know that he misses me.
