Wardrobe Wednesday | Pink on Repeat & Comfy Sneakers

Hi guys! Thank you for allowing me to dump all of my third trimester pregnancy woes on you yesterday.  I know feelings ebb and flow and the last part of pregnancy is really hard, but the result is always worth it in the end.  Having you to relate to and just getting those feelings off my chest helped a ton and I do feel lighter (in spirit!) today.  In my body, I still feel like I’m 54 weeks pregnant. I really appreciate your supportive comments, they mean the world to me. Even though we are separated by computer screens, the feeling of connection through our experiences is strong. As you might expect, I’m wearing lots of things on repeat by now and just trying to find what fits and is comfortable.  I live in comfy pants at home, but if I have to venture out, I still try to pull it together. I actually took advantage of the “expectant mom” parking at the grocery store last night when it was raining.  That was handy!  #thankfulforsmallperks

Even though we did our baby girl’s nursery in lavender and grey, my outfits have been leaning in the pink direction lately.  I think it started with this bag (other colors & similar pink), but I also have a couple henley style shirts I’m really comfy in lately, so I’ve been making it work with just mixing and matching some other things I already have in my closet, like this jean jacket and the puffer vest below.

Last week, I wore the same shirt and AG maternity jeans (similar here, here, and here) (non-maternity AG version here & $88 look-alike pair here) on both days, but I say, especially when you’re pregnant, wear whatever fits and you feel good in, even if it’s the same thing on repeat all the time!
And even though I’d love to get back into heels and wedges, my Skechers GoWalk and a cute pair of New Balance sneakers are the most comfy for running around in.  I’ve had that same pair of Skechers for years now and they are still holding up.  I wear them without socks and they feel like you’re walking on puffy clouds.

I’m still getting so winded when I do anything physical, so rest breaks are necessary and Thank God for being able to grab some quick cat naps during the day! I gave up coffee cold turkey with my first pregnancy, but when my doctor said small amounts are okay, you better believe I decided to keep it in this time! It’s definitely helped my energy level and gets me going in the morning.
I’m loving the comfort of my GoWalk & NB sneakers, but can I tell you I’m secretly dying to wear these?!  I might be delusional, but maybe I can waddle to the car in them for one more date night before the baby comes!

  1. You are just too cute! With my first son, I remember wearing the same hot pink, terry cloth capri pants on major repeat for the last 2 weeks. You can imagine my husband's face when I wore them to our last dinner out before the baby came. So hideous, but I told him to just deal with it. 🙂 They went in the garbage not long after the baby was born.

  2. You are so cute! Be careful with the super cute heels – I learned from experience during my last pregnancy I wore a pair to work at about 32 weeks and it caused my feet and legs to swell up and not go down until my pregnancy was over! I have been fine so far on this one but I am not taking any chances!
