Pink & Gold Holiday Nursery Decor
Good morning from our bright and shiny and holiday-ready nursery! Even though this little baby girl still has about 13 weeks until she arrives, spending time in her nursery is a new favorite pastime! The holidays are the perfect time to have fun and play with decor, and I definitely had fun adding these girlie and festive touches. Come on in!
Where else would we put a bright pink mini tinsel tree, but in a room like this?! It livens up the space and gives the room that playful touch. I adorned the tree with ornaments in different shades of pink still on hand from when we decorated our family tree in pink and red. The mini sequin tree skirt was too cute to pass up! The pink nutcracker is new too. My son loves them and this one commemorating the year our baby was conceived will be a special keepsake.
One of the easiest ways to add Christmas decor is with wrapped gifts! Or in this case, two wrapped books and a gold bow tied around a marble box from HomeGoods! SugarPaper has the sweetest line of gift wrap and decor accessories at Target. My gold gift tags are from that line. Definitely check them out if you haven’t already! And I already bought my 2016 gold dot desk calendar that I use religiously.
I wanted to hang a wreath on the mirror, but then figured, why not put it on the crib, where it will be seen front and center when you walk into the room?!
Our wreath is old from World Market, I don’t think they sell this particular one anymore, but they still have lots of cute similar options.
Over on the shelves, I had fun adding in more pink decor elements, especially with these two “brush bristle” Christmas trees in different shades of pink. They are so fun and I hadn’t seen anything like them before. And of course, a bowl full of ornaments adds instant holiday charm.
Our little plush giraffe got a gold ribbon scarf, and a couple of artfully placed ornaments turn the shelves from everyday to holiday.
We’ve collected several reindeer over the years – I didn’t realize I had a “thing” for them until I unpacked my Christmas bins this year and found 5! I think this guy is from Target last year.
Trader Joes had these adorable mini poinsettia plants. I got one for the nursery and a set of five for the kitchen. Along with some real garland that I used around the house. Can’t wait to show you that soon!
When our 5-year old son came home from school and saw the room all decorated, he was so excited! I love that he gets as giddy over these things as I do!
We cannot wait to meet our baby girl!

happy holidays friends!

Simple and Delish
It turned out even better than I had imagined! Of course, with help from my friend Sita Montgomery. 🙂
Love the pops of color and I think it's so sweet that you spend time in this room already. 🙂
