Weekend Steals & Deals – A Rainbow of Sweaters

And just like that, we’re back to Friday!  A week from now at this time, I’ll be heading to the annual Houston Nutcracker Market, which features holiday goodies of all time and officially kicks off the holiday season around here.  I really want to shop early this year so that I can truly relax and unwind and just enjoy my family.  This will be the last year I get to focus all my attention to my first-born and I’m so looking forward to our time together.  Did you feel that way before having a second baby?
For today’s Weekend Steals & Deals, I’m paying respect to all you color lovers out there with a rainbow of pretty, colorful sweaters.  I featured the subtler neutral sweaters on Tuesday, and was happy to hear that many of you find neutrals in your comfort zone too.  But, I’ve learned to embrace color over the years and have lots to share today!  Let’s go! And don’t forget, Nordstrom’s Fall Clearance Sale (save up to 40% off) ends Sunday!
YELLOW
Some people find yellow tricky to wear, but I find every time I put on this sunshiney color, my mood lifts!  And yellow goes well with so much, especially the browns of Fall, but also with navy.

You know I get so much use out of this faux leather reversible tote
You can also pair yellow with leopard, like this leopard skinny belt and fierce leopard heels (on sale- 40% off!)

GREEN
I feel like green, especially this forest color looks good on everyone.  I really like the shape of this sweater with the v-neck and side slits.

AQUA & MINT

Aqua or mint is a favorite soft color to wear.  It’s just so pretty!  Maybe that’s why I’m so drawn to that aqua/tan reversible tote I carry all the time.

Halogen Asymmetrical Snap Detail Tunic (Size ref: XS)  How cute are the asymmetrical snaps on the side?! | Kendra Scott pendant necklace  | faux leather reversible tote
LIGHT BLUE

And the cousin to mint and aqua, light blue, is also a favorite, soft color to wear.

BP stripe pullover (u-neck) | Yosi Samara leopard ballerina flat (on sale 40% off!) – these only come in whole sizes, so order a half size up if you’re between sizes. | BLANKNYC distressed skinny jeans | Gorjana ring | watch
NAVY
If you want something bolder, go for navy!  Those rich colors look rich!  The Dreamers v-neck and u-neck sweaters come in a beautiful variety of jewel tones and are currently on sale for under $20! Size up though- they run small.

PURPLE
Do you like purple?  This is one of the last colors to make it into my wardrobe, but I’m liking it, especially in this super soft sweater.  It’s almost like a cozy sweatpants material.

Size Ref: XS (I always find that Caslon runs a little big, so I get the smallest size for my petite frame)
I think a richer purple, like this one below is an easier color to wear.  Again, who doesn’t look good in jewel tones?!
Caslon Side Slit Cowl Neck Tunic – you’ll love this one with jeans or leggings, since it’s long in the back.  I’m digging these thinnish, slouchy cowl necks these days.  Just so dang comfy!

If you’ve been looking for a knee high boot, I’m crazy for this pair by Sole Society.  They have a 3 1/4 inch heel, not too chunky, and I wore them comfortably for several hours while running around this week.  They also come in black.  | similar statement necklace here & here
RED
You can’t go wrong with this energetic color, especially around the holidays!  If you need some pep in your step, put on a red sweater and a some red lipstick and you’re good to go!
distressed jeans  (similar here & here) | Trouve Zip Neck Sweater  (similar)
leopard skinny belt | initial necklace | Sole Society tassel bootie (I’m crazy over these tassel heeled booties  (as you can tell since I’m wearing them all the time!  I’m typically a 6 or 6 1/2 in heels/sandals, but the 7 fit me perfectly in these.)

Have a great weekend!

  1. Hi! Thanks SO MUCH for sharing these – I am in need of some new sweaters for fall, and this hits the spot 🙂 Can you please tell me what color you are wearing in the cowl neck side split tunic? Is the color you are wearing burgandy stem or another color? It's gorgeous! Congratulations on your pregnancy, as well!

  2. You literally can't tell you are pregnant! I could not tell one bit until the purple sweater, and that is only because you were holding your belly in that shot. I popped right out there early with both my second and my third children. You look great!
