If it were up to my husband, he’d shop for clothes for himself maybe once a year or once every two years. Me, on the other hand . . . well, you know! But, since he doesn’t like to shop for himself, I try to keep him looking good and will pick things out here and there as I see them. Sometimes he doesn’t like what I choose (I’ve learned never to buy this man a sweater or scarf), but other times, I do alright. Case in point, this “No photos por favor” tee shirt I found last year at Nordstrom
. It’s no longer available, but come fall and winter, I’m crazy for a man in this kind of long sleeve shirt
. Lucky for me it’s not a sweater!
And since he’d never splurge on himself for a good looking coat, I did the honors and picked out a new one for him
recently since his old one had bit the dust. It’s currently price-matched 20% off,
and should last him for years. Of course, he appreciates it and is glad I’m there to do the dirty work for him. #awomansworkisneverdone! My husband rarely makes an appearance on the blog, but I told him I wanted to show you my new jacket pick for him. Can you tell he’s thrilled?!
Let’s try to act natural.
Even though he’ll wear (most) of the things I pick out for him, he’s still so stubborn about his Wrangler jeans! I’ve learned not to argue. Good choice on sunglasses
Pretend you’re zipping up your sleeve.
The simple details on this jacket are truly what drew me to it though, I like the clean, simple style. Not too fussy or heavy a jacket for Houston, buttery soft material too. And the stand collar is nice too.
Look away. Make love to the camera. JK! He hates me right now! He’s so photogenic though, it takes me 100 pictures to get 5 I like, and with him, I snapped probably 10 total! #notfair
If you need a killer Christmas gift he might actually like and use, these coat selections below might be helpful. I know I’d usually prefer one really nice, thoughtful gift as opposed to lots of little insignificant stuff.

3 :: Peter Millar ‘Potomac’ Water Resistant Quilted Zip Vest
4 :: Canada Goose ‘Langford’ Down Parka
This one is pricey, but has great reviews. It’s for cold weather. “Sure to be a winter-weather staple, this cleanly designed slim-fit parka is styled with a low thigh-length for maximum protection against cold temperatures. The cozy down-fill insulation and plush fur-trimmed hood ensure you’ll be toasty-warm as you brave harsh conditions.”
Do you keep your man looking good too? Is he picky like mine?
