Journaling Bible Giveaway

Please note this giveaway is now closed.  The winner is Libby McCarty!  Congratulations Libby! 🙂

As some of you know from my posts on Instagram, I started Bible journaling awhile ago.  I’ve always been someone who highlights and takes notes right on the pages of her Bible, so the idea of adding art to those notes appeals to me.  The movement is called Illustrated Faith and you can google it or search #illustratedfaith on Instagram to see more about it. Here are a few examples of what Bible journaling might look like.

Isn’t that a fun way to get into the Word more?  I think it would be especially effective for young women.  And even though I’m not a young girl, based on my art supply and washi tape collection, you might think otherwise.  Now I get to put those crafty items to good use!
I was so excited to get started with my own journaling Bible, so I searched online everywhere. I’m not sure if it had to do with the Lenten season, but so many were sold out online.  I found two contenders at Christianbook.com.  The first one – the one I’m giving away – was too small for my taste.  I think it is the same one that is in the pictures above, so you can see there’s lots of room for doodles, but the font seemed small.  Also, this Bible is almost square and I’m used to my old, rectangular Bible.
In case you’re interested, I’m keeping the red one, which is a single column Bible.  The font is actually the same size, but it seems darker and easier for me to read.  The Bible itself is also a little bigger, which I prefer.
I’d rather give this Bible to someone than return it, so if you’d be interested in the black journaling Bible (brand new, never written in), just leave a comment on this blog post or use the Rafflecopter widget. I will announce the winner on Thursday, April 9.
