I hope you all enjoyed a nice long weekend! Â I made some progress on my son’s room, including changing up the wall color and adding a colored ceiling. Â You might remember his nursery walls were light blue “Blissful Blue” by Sherwin Williams and the ceiling was “Divine White” also by Sherwin Williams.
Now, he’s got darker walls “Indi-go-go” by Benjamin Moore (color matched at Sherwin Williams) and a light blue ceiling “Honest Blue” by Sherwin Williams. Â There is a Sherwin Williams near my house, so that’s where I get all my paint.
Below are the paint formulas if you’re interested. Â I can’t wait to get his bed (should be delivered this week) and drapes (backordered until late June!).
Love it Megan! And, it will most definitely grow with him.
I love the darker color. It definitely has a more big boy room feel. Oh and I hope I'll have the guts to paint a ceiling one day – it looks great in here!

So simple, yet it works so well!

I love that dark blue, and what a great window to let in all that light.
love it!
Really makes the trim and wainscot stand out. Love it! I've been in the sloooow process of redoing my boys' rooms too. One left the crib/nursery stage late last year, so I've been changing everything up! http://www.styleoyster.blogspot.com

Great color choices! I bet he's so excited for his big boy room. 😉 I love a blue ceiling. It's practically become a staple for me. xo
Great with the contrasted ceiling too!
love that you painted the ceiling! can't wait to see the rest.
Love the colors!!
Love the new colors! The ceiling is so fun!
Love the painted ceiling!
Looks fantastic!!
I love it! I had pretty much this exact combo in my head for months now since I became pregnant. I was going to go a little darker on the walls and pair with a pink if it was a girl but now that we know he's a boy, I had thought of doing a lighter blue on the ceiling. For the longest time I couldn't find pictures but now here's a great example and Pinterest finally had some too. Can't wait to see how you do the rest of the room. I'm no where near ready to do my future son's little room because we are completely remodeling it first!
