I wanted to share with you a food shortcut that I’ve used in the past that really works well when you don’t have time to cook, but want to eat healthy. I typically like to cook our meals, but this is another option. My Fit Foods is pre-cooked, fresh, refrigerated packaged meals that you just heat up for a couple minutes and they are ready to eat. A while back, we bought enough meals for our family for several lunches and dinners. I buy the small, but the large would be about enough for two meals for me. Normally, I might just buy a couple a week to take to work for lunch so I don’t have to go out or bring leftovers.
One of my favorite meals is the Atlantic Baked Salmon with quinoa and broccoli. But I also really like the salmon cakes, chicken wrap, and chili. They have breakfasts too and tons of choices.
All of the meals are based on a 40% low glycemic carbohydrates, 40% lean protein, and 20% healthy fat.
I know My Fit Foods is in Texas and opening a location in Phoenix too. I’m wondering if there’s something similar where you live, and if so, have you tried it? What do you think? I remember before I tried it, the thought of pre-packaged foods sounded pretty bad, but they are actually good and you can’t beat the convenience. p.s. I’m not being compensation by MFF for this post- I just wanted to share:)
Thank you friends for following along on this pregnancy journey with me and letting me gush about being 20 weeks along now. Â We are so very thankful for this blessing…
Omg, we finally made it to the last day of school! It felt like it would never get here! Today, there’s a mass and classroom party, followed by a pool…
With Thanksgiving drawing near, I’ve been thinking about gathering around the table and enjoying my family and all the homemade food and dessert that Thanksgiving brings. This year, we’re still…
How’s your week going friends?  I’m just over here counting down the days ’til the 2017 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale like a kid at Christmas!  It’s so close, opening this Thursday for cardholders.  ??I got a friendly letter in the mail letting me know they upped my limit just in time for the sale- #thankyouverymuch!  We’ll keep this little detail to ourselves and not bother the hubby with that tidbit of info!  😉  Are you excited?!?! Of course, I’ll be sharing my picks on Thursday and then a big ‘ole dressing room round up on Friday with fit tips and recommendations. Let me know what you have questions about and I’ll do my best investigative journalism for ya!
This swingy striped! cold shoulder dress is perfect for daytime or evenings out. Â Love the simplicity of it and the drapey fabric. Â Such a steal at right under $50! Â For a daytime look, you could wear it with the #10 sandals (they have lots of colors) & for evening, these black open toe heeled sandals would be great.
Show off your summer mani with this gorgeous, chic statement ring! I like to wear it on my first or middle finger on my right hand with a bold bracelet.
I’m sure you’ve heard me rave about this maxi dress before. Â Every time I wear it, I get tons of compliments and it’s really flattering and comfortable. Â It’s on sale under $40! Â I wear XS.
High waist leggings will be your BFF, I swear! Â They keep you all nice and tucked in and make you feel great while working out. Â Zella quality is always superb, and this pair comes in three colors with criss-cross detail at the calf. Â They run TTS, I wear size XS.
Although I normally wear a tank to workout, this Zella tee is my go-to when I want a t-shirt. Â The seams in the shirt are perfectly placed to help the illusion of a smaller waist and I like the cut of the sleeves that don’t irritate me when I’m working out.
My go-to tank, $11!!! Â I think I need to stock up on the other colors. Â It’s perfect for wearing alone or layering under cardigans or other tops. Â It fits TTS, XS here.
I have the older version of these sandals and they are really good! They come in tons of colors and the “beige leather” has a snakeskin pattern that goes with everything. Â Sam Edelman makes quality shoes that last, so I highly recommend them!
A HUGE congratulations goes out to my beautiful and talented friend Marina Delio, of the blog Yummy Mummy Kitchen on her published cookbook The Yummy Mummy Kitchen. She was kind…
Hi guys! Â How was your Monday? Â I was a mess, totally exhausted from our girls’ trip that had me dancing and eating Taco Bueno until the wee hours of the…

Oh my gosh, I just saw this store literally 30 seconds from my house (McKinney, TX) and was wondering what it was. I will have to check it out and go get some of these prepared meals. I'm on a 24 Day Challange right now so these would be great! Thanks
I've never heard of this, but I'm definitely going to have to check around and see if we have one in VA! Finding good healthy things to have for lunch is such a pain!

Let's discuss how fabulous their mac n cheese tastes. Stopping by tomorrow to grab dinner. It's great because HEB in SL now carries it.
We have nothing like this that I have seen and so wish we did.

This would be so easy! No thinking…
I would LOVE something like that! I'll have to ask Kate if she has seen them at the HEB near school. They would be perfect for her!!
The food tastes great! The fit mac is the best!
I could use this! I'm looking up their info now!! Looks delicious!
We don't have this in So Cal (at least that I've seen!!)- maybe soon!!
I wish they were in NC, but I think there is probably something similar.
