WANTED: Floor Length Mirror

In our entryway, we have a large, unadorned wall that is perfect for a dramatic floor-length mirror.
I’m thinking something like these:

I love these gigantic, ornate mirrors, but not in white for our space.

This one is great, but too expensive from Restoration Hardware at $2000 (plus shipping I imagine).
The next 5 are from Horchow and actually way less than RH.

You'd have to go often, but have you tried HomeGoods?

  2. August 16, 2011 / 6:30 pm

I just bought one from HomeGoods two weeks ago! Ours is more antiqued goldish, but if you wanted another color I'm sure it would be easy to spray paint.

    Yep – homegoods.

  4. August 16, 2011 / 6:34 pm

What a great idea- that space is perfect for a floor length mirror! The 3rd one from Horchow is my favorite! How about Ballard Designs, Pier 1 or Pottery Barn? I also agree with the above comments-you never know what gems you might find at Homegoods! Good Luck! 🙂

We have a simpler one from Horchow – wait until October – I think that's when they go on sale.

Try Ballard,West Elm And a framing store!

    Good luck!

the very last one you posted from Horchow is great, my best friend has it in antique white and its sturdy and aint going anywhere! Its a great piece and she got it at a sale they were having, you will have to pay for freight cost, but any mirror of that size is going to charge you that anyways!

  7. August 16, 2011 / 6:56 pm

Oooh, love the mirrors! Check local antique stores (although it might get pricey) and Craigslist. I can't tell you all the things I find on Craigslist!

I just saw some amazing ones at Home Goods last week for $100! BTW, I am building a house and am trying to find the perfect wall and trim color. I love yours! What colors did you use in your entry way?

We bought one at Homegoods for $50!

Love the idea of a mirror. But, I have always wondered if they secure them somehow to a stud in the wall as they always seem to show them just leaning…wouldn't want it toppling over onto little James.

  11. August 16, 2011 / 7:50 pm

Definitely Home Goods. I would anchor to the wall also.

those white mirrors are to die for! I just love white frames- mirrors definitely open up a space!

I am totally obsessed with getting one for our next home. All of these are stunning Megan! If you find a great place, please let me know! I have seen a few at Anthropologie, but they are a little more rustic (opposed to the modern/vintage look).

After months of looking I found a great one at IKEA. They have a series named SONGE, but I bought the floor length with the curved top.

    Good luck!

That spot is just screaming for a mirror – perfect idea. I saw the perfect large, white ornate mirror at HomeSense the other day for $499! Too bad shipping from all the way up in Canada would be atrocious! Good luck with the search. Check your Home Goods.

Ah!! I found one extremely similar to the RH mirror at a garage sale for…..$40!!!! It's a deep brown…I've been contemplating painting it white, because of my LR decor…but I had to smile when I saw these!! Someday when I get my living room all complete, I will post pics!!

Keep looking, you'll never know where you'll find one!

For floor mirrors, I would suggest Z Gallerie, IKEA, West Elm and Marshalls.

I love your entry way paint color! What color is it? I'm trying to decide on a paint color for mine.
