baby james {11 months}

How did this happen?  My little baby is growing up so fast!  The one year mark is fast approaching.  It is SO fun to interact with James now and play together.  He loves to play (alone or with us).  He likes “high 5”, reading (or turning the book’s pages), all the toys that light up and play music, things he can bang on, opening cabinet doors and drawers, and playing chase in his little car.  Grandma, you’ll like this post- it’s heavy on the baby pics:)

He’s all big boy in the highchair when we go to restaurants now.

Not walking yet, just “cruising” the furniture and starting to stand unassisted.

  1. I can't believe how much he has grown!! Look much more like a toddler than a baby now. I know we spent too much on toys for ours, and they were more than happy to play with the remotes, keys and cardboard boxes!! LOL

  2. Oh gosh….the remotes. Arghhh! And we have about 5 of them just out and about. I wonder how many times a day I pick them up? He's sooo adorable! I can't wait to give him some french fries and nuggets. And maybe a sip of coke. Are you hyperventilating yet?

  3. He is so cute! Too bad we don' live closer we could set him up with my daughter Lucy. She has her first birthday on Friday and she loves the remote too! We were at a play date Monday and she picked up their remote and began aiming at the tv- I think I turned bright red from embarrassment ; )

  4. Is James adorable or what! He is at such a fun age! I miss my boys at this age and I know you've heard this before…..they grow so fast! I can tell you are enjoying every minute of it! In the blink of an eye he'll be in highschool asking you which AP classes he needs to take to get into the best college in your state! {a day in my life!} God bless you, your hubby, James and future children! Oh and start praying for his future wife now! Kisses, Desiree

  5. So precious. I love when they hold their own bottle. There is something so dear about that. {ps . . . James, thanks for giving me a call on your cell phone. Good chattin' with you!}

  6. He is such a cutie! It is truly amazing how fast time flies once you have a little one! I think it is in boy's DNA to be all about the remote! Kason is darn right sneaky about finding it, hiding it, and changing the channels. 🙂

  7. he is stinkin' cute! and yes, no matter hwo we get them toy phones or toy keys or toy remotes ~ they aim for the real thing!

  8. He is just too cute for words! What beautiful eyes! My James is a remote hog too! Got to be a boy thing! ha ha!

  9. Are you sure this post wasn't about Reid? Same things here -cruising, stair climbing, high fiving, and REMOTE OBSESSED. He even points it at the TV. Oh wait – it couldn't be about Reid – he doesn't have all that hair! 🙂

    Happy 11 months, James!

  10. Megan he is just perfect! Beautiful little baby! And working on his computer like mommy! Maybe he'll be a sensational blogger one day, too!

  11. Happy 11 months to beautiful baby James! So funny when I open the fridge Sterling is there so quick too. I wonder why that intrigues them so much? He looks like such a grown-up little man! xoxo

  12. What a cutie patootie! My youngest is 17 months and they go so fast. I just posted a picture today on my own blog with him using a t.v. converter as a phone. What is it with kids and their love of phones! Thanks for sharing such cute pics!

  13. So cute!!! My nephew is the same way about the remotes. Oh & don't let him get a glimpse of an iPhone. Once he sees it he has a one track mind trying to get it!!

  14. It's so funny how boys are so similar! Sam is always running off with the remote and taking stuff out of the fridge. And I love the one on the stairs!

  15. Such a cutie pie! And the pictures where James is in his blue striped jammies playing on the blue striped quilt………..can you say Old Navy Ad!?! Adorable!

  16. He's so pretty! Can't wait to see what you do with his 1 yr birthday party 🙂

  17. So cute! We have some of those same sleepers (the blue and white striped and the blue, brown and grey striped). Bet his blue eyes just shine in them. And loved your Super Bowl party decorations!

  18. I felt like I was reading about my almost 14-month old daughter, especially with regard to the remote – lol! And my cell phone, too. And the computer mouse. 🙂 Sound familiar? Ha!

  19. James is adorable. My boys are 17 and 14, and I miss all that cuddly toddler stuff. Just discovered your blog. Looking forward to exploring it. I'm interested in your living room paint color/sofa color relationship. I have a similar color sofa and don't know what color to paint my walls.
