Happy Monday friends! We had a great Father’s Day weekend and guess what my hubby got? We surprised him with the bag he raved about and put a pack of socks inside! I was sure he’d have a clue that that was what we were getting him, but he was genuinely surprised, and very happy with that gift. I know y’all enjoyed hearing from him and getting helpful tips for Father’s Day gifts, so I’ll be bringing him back next month to share his picks for the big Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I can’t believe it’s almost here! #ChristmasinJuly
Today’s post is all about one of my favorite wardrobe pieces to run around in and be ultra comfortable. Jogger pants are like pajamas that are acceptable to wear outdoors, but just as cozy! #winwin
You can wear them to the gym, but I prefer them as casual wear topped with a relaxed tank or tee. I’ve had this u-neck tank for years in several color and it’s held up great. It’s European sizing and I sized up to US4 for a more relaxed fit, but US2 would work for a more fitted look.
This pair of joggers come in navy too and feel so silky against your skin. The wide waistband is ultra comfortable and the pockets zip closed, a cute touch.
I always keep my favorite jean jacket in the car because you never know when you’ll need it. We pop into the bookstore often and it’s always freezing in there! I’m always prepared because I can just throw on my jacket and it goes with almost everything!
I’ve always loved browsing bookstores in different cities too (nerd, I know)! I love that my kids enjoy it now too and our Barns & Noble has a toy train and legos that James used to love as a toddler and now Jordan plays with. Seeing James develop a love of reading (he’s on book #4 of the Wimpy Kid series now) warms my heart!
It took me awhile to find sneakers that were durable, comfortable and the perfect shade of pink. These Adidas are all that, but had me puzzled over how to tie them. A typical bow-tie is how I tie most sneakers, but I liked how these shoes look more streamlined with the laces tucked in.
I re-tied the laces so that they ended up facing into the shoe and then folded them into a small bundle and tucked them inside.
Isn’t it nice to run around in something you can feel so relaxed in?!

Hello friends! I’ve been a busy bee working behind the scenes to clean up my blog and make finding my content easier for you. I’m definitely type-A when it comes to organization, so having clearly delineated categories for all of my blog topics has been on my ‘to do’ list for awhile now. Whether you’re here for fashion, fitness, home decor or baby tips (or a little of everything!) you will be able to click the categories at the top of my blog and search through all the posts related to that topic from newest to oldest. I even made a new ‘this & that‘ category as a catch-all for those random girl-talk posts where I share everything from boot organization, how to keep hydrangeas alive, where to print your photos, books I’m reading, outfits, etc. I’m happy to hear that you like those posts and so do I! I plan to do one at least once a month from now on.
And just like that, we’re midway through the week again! I’m heading to Dallas tomorrow for our annual blogging style conference, better known as, Mom’s Night Out! I’m looking forward…

Loving this look! And getting so excited about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 🙂
Love this whole entire ensemble. Looks so comfy yet doesn’t sacrifice style. Until my leg is healed, I’m wearing dresses all summer because I can’t get pants over my leg yet, but I can’t wait until the fall when I’m back in pants again! I especially love the pink sneakers with an army green pant. And I love your favorite jean jacket. The time, attention, care & thoughtfulness that goes into every one of your posts is so apparent. Thank you so much for such a fun daily read!

I bet you’ll be ready for some pants for sure! But at least it’s summer where there are so many cute dresses out now!
So, tell us how you are tying the sneakers with the laces tucked in, or is that how they come?
I was wondering that too!
Great question! I just updated the post with the directions and a close up photo of the shoe so you could see better!
How do you tie the laces? My attempts are terrible. Please share

Love your lipstick!
Thank you Aaryn! I’m so happy for you!!! Best thing I’ve seen today!
I’m not much of a fan of casual outfits, but I must say this one looks amazing. Now I kinda want those joggers for myself! hahah =)
